all of them standing out chanting armed with stories and opinions. >> kill the bill. >> reporter: kill the bill. health care now. >> health care now. >> reporter: two opposing chants outside south lake high school where maximum capacity is keeping hundreds from attending a town hall meeting. >> i would love to know how many people in there are true constituents of the eighth congressional district. >> reporter: charges fly that democrats organized reform supporters. >> it is interesting that some leaders allege that supporters of free market solutions are astro turf when they have got prefab signs provided for them. >> reporter: provided for them, yes, but those that are holding those signs say they came on their own even if they did get an e-mail from the committee. >> go ahead on health care and don't listen to people that are against this health care plan. >> reporter: theodore schneider says he doesn't even have health insurance. >> walk this my shoes and walk in the shoes that people have to pay thousands of dollars.

but at the center of it all representative jim moran tried to keep order and shed light on what he calls the facts and fiction. >> a provision is the so-called public option. [ cheering ] >> the democratic congressman from the eighth district drew the biggest applause when he talked about the public option health care reform would give to people who now have no insurance at all. but those who fear more government control of medicine in america were skeptical and vocal to the end. >> but no one would be required to join the public option. people -- everyone is still free to purchase private insurance. >> reporter: moran then moved on to what he calls mix and scare tactics saying there is no provision for so-called death penalty doling out end of life care and no required

health coverage for illegal immigrants. >> i'm sorry, but i can't even hear the governor and i'm sitting next to him. >> but the debate over whether abortion would be federally funded brought the meeting to a standstill when antiabortion activist had to be escorted out by police. >> once order was restored people shared worries whether lawmakers deciding these bills would be subject to the same changes as the rest of us. >> if it is so good for all of us can't you be on it with us. please. >> i am. i amp. >> representative moran said health care reform would cost roughly $100 million over ten years. paying for it he says it would be done with surcharges on the wealthiest americans and by eliminating waste and errors in the way we do things now. representative donna edwards held a town hall meeting in germantown.

truck with the red tarp. inside is a suicide bomber. the explosion happens just as the bomber passes the camera. now this attack happened five days ago. we have not yet received the tally of the number of civilians killed in that attack but as of today at least 4,335 members of the u.s. military have died in the iraq war since it began in 2003. they say if you have got it flaunt it and one dc woman took this to extremes using her proportions to conceal 2.5 pounds of cocaine inside her bra. customs agents found the cargo regardless during a pat down search after the woman came back from jamaica. andrew stack has the details. >> reporter: on the surface -- >> this was the result of officer intuition. >> reporter: custom agents may not notice a thing. that is, until female agents turned this bra inside out. >> something more to this than met the eye.

murray. back in the headlines tonight the chris brown, rihana saga. he did accept responsibility for his crime and today a judge handed down the sentence. no jail time. the judge instead gave him five years' probation and ordered him to do six months of physical labor as community service. washing cars and grounds maintenance in his hometown of richmond, virginia. the police chief will be in charge. police in manassas charged four teenagers with vandalizing a school. they used landscaping sod to deface a school. creating the phrase white power and other words. >> people are ignorant these days. i don't know what to say about that. people have their reasons for doing things. >> i think it is very horrible and they should be held responsible for their actions

and why would you do that? >> in addition to the criminal charges the students also face disciplinary action within the school district. alexandria has a new police chief. it is 30-year veteran earl cook. cook became the acting chief last month when the former police chief was charged with drunk driving and later pled guilty and resigned. cook is the first african- american to hold the job. orange county supervisors have given wal-mart the go ahead to build a huge store near an historic civil war battle field called the wilderness. work on the project could start next month. preservation groups say they will appeal to wal-mart to put the superstore elsewhere. a wal-mart spokesman says that is not going to happen. >> if you just happen to be one of the folks who still manage to text and drive a video we are about to show you may change your mind about that. the story behind these images

juan. still waiting to see. if it were to happen it would become tropical storm danny. it does appear rather likely in the next 24 to 36 hours. we are clear right now. we are in pretty good shape. that will allow the temps to fall. air mass still fairly dry. let's talk about what could be danny or may just end up being a low pressure system. don't get too hung up on whether it is named or not. i went into detail this on my blog at wusa9.com. here are the tracks. remember we showed you bill, all the slots were close together. these lines are all tomorrow. this is the worst-case scenario. heavy rain, maybe even severe weather. friday to saturday is the time frame we are talking. this track is more likely and would still do beach erosion. would likely have an impact on our shore. farthest west track, red one, would have the most impact on the immediate metro area. don't get hung up whether or
