6:20 pm
showers and storms on friday. 80, looks like it could be a wet redskin game and depending on what danny does, saturday could be wet with showers and thunderstorms. maybe heavy rain on saturday. high temperature in the low 80s. here's the satellite picture, a different view of danny. again, not particularly well organized. it's about 725 miles southeast. it is moving off to mithe west, northwest. this storm will miss bermuda. winds are 45 miles per hour. gusts to 58. by 2:00 on friday, it's going to be off the southeast coast and move off the north, northeast. by 2:00 saturday, it is off the delmarva and it begins to recurve. i put the fan pronounced here. this is what you have to think about. this whole track, not just focus on the line. if it goes to the west and we are talking about rough surf.
6:21 pm
anywhere from this line westward would be a rough surf for our bay. if it hugs the coast, well then we have to worry about heavy rain here in the immediate area. a partly cloudy, not as comfortable. a big discussion on this. click on the on the pepco cast. 66 to 72, winds northeasterly at 5 to 10. temperatures right now are warm. 90 up in frederick. 89 downtown. 90 in manassas and 90 in fredericksburg. 70s and 80s. winds northeast at 10. partly sunny, very warm. a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm. highs in the upper 80s. for the most part, a nice day tomorrow. satellite picture, radar combined, you can see a front right here. eventually it is going to approach the metro area. we are going to p sandwiched between danny to the east and a front off to the west. we'll zoom down and take a look at danny. very tough to figure out an exact location of where the
6:22 pm
center is. that's critical because where that center is, when the computer models put that in to run their equations, that will determine how far west that track is. very, very critical getting a well defined center. we have a couple days to narrow down the track. we are looking at partly cloudy skies. all the showers and thunderstorms remaining in new england with that front. for us tomorrow, here's your zone forecast. all six zones on our website, wusa9.com. upper 80s for oakland and dumfries. a little better chance to the west. less of a chance in dc. 86 in frederick. 87 tomorrow. isolated storms. it gets kind of tricky. showers and thunderstorms friday into saturday. the game is right here on channel 9 in hd. hope it's not really super wet. we'll have to just wait and see what danny does. and then after everything goes through, danny and the cold front, it gets much cooler. we are in the 70s and barely 80

and now, 9sports. the best sports in town. >> welcome back. coming into the season, the redskins offense and jason campbell in particular were under the microscope. why you ask? an offense ranked second to last would be the answer. now what jason campbell really needed was to come out on fire in the preseason and put all questions to rest. hasn't worked out that way, just 4:13 for 48 yards, including one of 7 against the steelers. campbell will probably play a half, maybe more against the patriots and the qb says i'm not worried about my numbers. >> everyone is trying to put pressure on me. right now, more negative than it is positive. there were games i was being 20 for 23. >> i don't think he needs to
6:27 pm
