together. >> they treat them pretty badly. they boo at them and they don't support them and we want the wounded warriors to know we do. >> reporter: but most of the action is at area hotels where anti--tax protestors are throwing parties preparing for tomorrow's march on the capitol. >> the tax man comes, the tax man goes. what he does with our money, fo one knows. i like that. >> reporter: and it's going on her sign. ? man would not talk to -- this man would not talk to us about his. he said mr. and mrs. obama for the first time i'm ashamed of my country. most want legislators to pay attention to their spending. >> we try to get congress to listen and think about their votes. >> reporter: they march from freedom plaza to the capitol tomorrow. >> the entire process was all about getting people moved to action. get them away from yelling at the tv and yelling at the newspapers and coming out there and making their voice being heard. i think for too long our voices have been silent. >> reporter: and, of course, many were motivated to make the

remember victims in silence. president obama laid wreaths and remembered those lost at the pentagon. they held a remembrance ceremony outside the white house. the crowd was small but the message was a big one. james hash had more. >> i would like to thank you for coming and being with us and honoring the victims and families of 9/11. >> in lafayette park, just steps from the white house, where today the flag flies at half staff in remembrance, she had a simple message. >> each one of us must take steps towards peace and friendship. and it can happen. >> the waves of fear, suspicion and mistrust that swept the country after the attacks of 9/11 left many american muslims feeling isolated and suspects, despite condemning the attacks. >> the problem was we didn't get our voices heard. >> and founding the american muslim voice foundation. >> everybody just kind of thinks that one person cannot do anything. and i was blessed with the most

action for support of problems, both the prior and present generations of owners have chosen not to sell the flag. some folks say that's darn right unamerican. >> they were persecuted for whatever their religious believe so they came here for their freedom so they should be proud to be america and the flag represents america as far as i'm concerned. >> some people have decided to boycott the store. the owners say they understand and they may have to suffer for their faith. tonight the coast guard and a handful of news outlet are being blamed for a 9/11 scare. they held a training not far from the site at the 9/11 tribute at the same time. they had a suspicious both and begun fire. -- boat and gunfire. cnn mistook the drill for the real time. the fox newschannel followed suit. because of the reports, law enforcement agencies scrambled to get officers to the scene and

the faa briefly grounded air traffic at national airport. the coast guard then heard a news conference to set the record straight. >> no shots were fired. there was no suspect vessel. there was no criminal activity. >> the coast guard says it will review its training procedures to make sure this all doesn't happen again. america is using their pocket books to show their support and their disapproval of representative joe wilson of south carolina. the republican heckled president obama a couple of nights ago. today he released a new internet video explaining himself. he said he will not sit silently while the president bushes his plan. but since wilson shouted you lied during the president's speech, the republican or should i say the republican has raised more than $700,000 for his reelection campaign. on the other hand, his opponent has raised more than 875,000. well, do the president's health care speech to congress

work? the answer tonight is maybe. a cbs news poll just out says he did change some minds. 52% now approve how he's handling health care reform. and some who watched it is even greater. this is bizarre. it's from american's home video. except two employees really were caught on tape trying to help what they thought were a hooker and her pimp qualify for a grant. we first brought you that hidden video last night. now somehow it happened all over again, but this time right here in dc. and brittany morehouse joins us more for this. >> reporter: in baltimore eight workers offered advice to a pimp and a prostitute. the workers were reported helping a politician and a prostitute. it turns out in both cases those people actually were conservative activists who have now posted their video online. >> we informed employees we

would use our elicit process for campaigns. >> reporter: posing as an aspiring congressman, he introduces his assistant as a prostitute. he stands in the acorn employees. en they call the cops, b tell us they can't help us, c, discourage us from breaking laws or, d, none of the above. >> it's d. >> we're talking about your career. how far are you trying to go. >> i'm using the money that you've given. >> but when they ask you, you don't know where it's coming from. we're looking out for you. >> reporter: it's a clip that is now attracting tourist to the place where it all happened on 8th street southeast. >> is this the place? >> reporter: ron here with family from california. he's watched the whole tape online. >> they were bringing illegal aliens, minors in, to serve as prostitutes. and the people have acorn were happy to be helping them. >> i thought it was ridiculous. >> reporter: and heavy acorn supporters think so too.

and welcome back. a pretty nice weekend headed or way. 78 tomorrow. we have to keep the chance of a shower in but a pretty nice day. we'll be dry during the terms game. it will quickly fall into the 60s. there is lots going on. we have the prince county fair saturday and sunday. we have the wine tasting friday and saturday. open house at the kennedy

tomorrow at 7:00. everybody but the wine tasting is family oriented. low 80s on sunday with sunshine and mid 80s next monday. weekend flanking me on either side, here is the forecast overnight in details. showers ending to the north. partial clearing south and cool. temps low 50s to low 60s. remember you can track the showers at khou.com and our interactive radar also at wusa.com. temperatures right now very comfortable. low temperatures just about everywhere. pretty uniform because of the cloud cover and northeast winds. 63 in belle haven. 63 in dumfries. even out to the west 62 in charles ton and 62 in edinburg. 57 in great falls. maybe even 59 in tyson. 59 in silver spring and in the mid to low 60s downtown. now, tomorrow morning becoming partly sunny and cool. not a bad start. 50s and 60s. some clouds may linger north of

town. frederick north right along the border particularly. winds northwest at ten. by afternoon partly sunny and warmer. slight chance of a shower. but a vast improvement over today. high temperatures in the upper 70s and winds out of the northwest at about ten miles an hour. satellite picture radar combined. we'll zoom in here now. this is really what's left of what was tropical storm erika. it took five days to move pretty much from the carolinas north of us. and it finally has moved north of us. so we're in pretty good shape now if you go through the weekend. that said showers have moved out of new york tomorrow. showers will move back in but saturday and sunday we'll be able to play tennis up in the new york area. as far as we're concerned, you see the clouds lingering across the northern part of the viewing area. south okay. i think slowly but surely this will all lift away from us during the day on saturday. so next seven days, 78 tomorrow. a couple of showers possible. low 80s on sunday. mid 80s on monday. we'll be kind of toying with 85

on monday. and then 83 as we get into tuesday. and maybe a couple showers wednesday and thursday night. a big rain maker. another frontal system drops down to the south. temperatures will drop back into the 70s which really isn't that bad. and then we're back up around 80 on friday. >> loving that weekend, top. >> yes. >> thank you so much. and apparently there is beautiful weather in southern california. that's why nasa has the shuttle discovery come in and home at the florida space center because it was stormy down there. discovery spent the last two week working with the international space station. our living well health headlines are all about h1n1 tonight. lots of new information coming out including a report for the center of disease control that says flu season has come very rearly this year with -- early this year with cases of all varieties. there is cases with all 50 states with the highest concentrations right now in the southeast. the good news, it looks like only one dose of the new swine flu vaccine will be needed to

get a good enough immune response in healthy adults. testing is still going on in pregnant women and children. and the target date for the new vaccines arrival is still mid october. well, australia newspapers are reporting the results from that gender test on the south african running sensation are in. now, she claims to be a woman and the reports say she has no ovaries or uterus. but she does have internal testes. the international athletic has said it's now reviewing the results but there will be no final decision regarding the gender until november. very interesting stuff. and oj simpson is missing so moe he is out with a $1 million

over the last few weeks, a group out of new york has been in arlington county doing a lot of listening. they are oral historians with the september 11th memorial museum. >> their goal is to make sure this story about the attack on the pentagon is part of the permanent record at the manhattan world trade center site. we have the story. >> reporter: in a bare conference room with nothing more than a clock, a can of soda, steve recalls history. >> there ways huge cloud of smoke. >> reporter: he used to run arlington county 911 center and now does the same in fairfax county is one of many people who have been invited to the arlington county government center to tell their story. >> it's a pleasure. and it's an honor. and it's a privilege. to recount, to think back, to reflect, and to share.

>> i think it's very important. >> reporter: jenny is an oral historian with the 911 memorial museum scheduled to open at the site. while the museum will largely focus on the events in new york, they are committed not to lose sight of what happened in pennsylvania and arlington, virginia. >> what people experienced in the pentagon it's so important that that story isn't brushed off to the side. >> we sometimes think about the experiences we're thinking about today and we don't think about them as tomorrow's history. >> reporter: jim schwartz who ran the fire and rescue has provided the space for the interviews and is happy that the museum isn't just focusing on firefighters. >> people in the community were affected in ways that we don't -- we haven't even learned about completely yet. >> we joke we should buy stock in kleenex. >> reporter: and jenny and liz tell us the kleenex isn't just for the person they are talking to. >> i tell myself when i get to the point where i stop needing

ceremony tonight david robinson earned his induction along with this guy, michael jordan going into the hall. a legend that likely will never be equipped. college football and despite pay blow out loss, it's not like the maryland's team has only ended. at last check 11 games remain on their schedule. and tomorrow that means a matchup at home against james madison, which plays in the caa. a conference that saw two of its teams pull off acc upsets a week ago. the terps have to respond to that 52-13 loss to california. and bridge thinks it's possible if you just put it in perspective. >> every dpoel is still -- goal is still there except the one to be capped. we have to be better this week than last week. and then we have to do it each and every week from here on out. and if we do that, we'll have a good football team. >> now operation football. >> all right.

week two on the high school football scene. and we open up the operation tonight with our game of the week. it's oakton at west springfield. both teams off to a 1-0 start. battling out tonight. third quarter oakton up 21-7. but west springfield threatening to score. drilling the quarterback for the stack. on the 4th, west springfield now with a score. check them out. far screen. leaping into the end zone. that ties the game at 21. oakton would go on to win by one. 35-34. we have more of that. kwinz orchard scoreless. and this one in the first quarter. but roger hawkins punching it in. the cougars go up 7-0. we promise he's in there somewhere. damascus not going down easy, though. down 14-0. the swarming hornets fray ser for the keeper and touchdown. they would go on to win this one
