lyrics spoke of murder and mute lation has mutilating has been charged with the murder of four people. he was taken into custody. the 20-year-old was formally charged with murder, robbery, stealing the car belonging to a pastor. authorities say the rapper will be charged with killing three more people inside the same house once their bodies have been identified. police say the house belonged to debra kelly, a university professor. police are not release anything. >> they were subjected to some things. >> reporter: >> reporter: police say the rapper may have known debra kelly's daughter. police say someone killed a man and set a house on fire to cover up a crime. the victim was apparently a homeless man who did odd jobs around the neighborhood.

they have not released his nape. the federal law allowing passengers to carry loaded guns on trains is drawing some serious opposition tonight. reporters say the amendment approved by the senate would allow thousands to travel on towns but opponents say the measure poses a security risk and the amtrak should spend more on baggage screening. some voiced their opposition. >> to create as a matter of right intercity possession of a firearm in violation of the laws of those states creates enormous conflict between laws an creates a precedent that we can't have. >> there is no issue here that any of us should have any debate about that people would be able to carry weapons on a train. i can't even figure out what problem we are trying to solve with this particular matter. about time and time again the

and our house is up for sale. we were trying to move and it will be a little longer now before we can do anything. >> reporter: homes on mcshane were among the hardest hit. neighbors spend their sunday saving what's left of their belongings. >> it is my mother-in-law's home. it is sad watching the contents of their house come out in bags. >> reporter: crews from the baltimore county department of public works helped clean mud covered streets. >> we are loading up some trucks. we are loading up the packer trucks. >> reporter: crews helped residents clear their basements once the water and debris are gone. lek electricity can then be restored. as for the family they are staying positive. >> keep working and get back to normal as soon as possible. >> reporter: the department of public works is reminding residents if you need something to be picked up by bring bringing it to the edge of your property. leave a note so they know they

can pick it up. a lot of people are waiting for insurance companies to come and survey the damage. they say they will come pick it up when you are ready. >> the pipe that ruptured was 7 inches in diameter so you would think a pipe of 3 inches wouldn't do that much damage. dave statter shows us a sink hole in a front yard. >> reporter: janet and her daughter had a rude awakening this morning. they had to move their cars because of concern their driveway might collapse. water was flowing down west view drive taking a good portion of the family's front yard with it. this man noticed it around 5:00 a.m. this morning. >> you could hear some type of water fall type sound coming from the block. so as i stepped across my curb i noticed the water cascading down the street. >> reporter: a supervisor came out quickly but the water kept

running for hours because crews weren't immediately available to shut it off. >> and they didn't come out here again until 9. >> reporter: the crews on their scene had their own problems when a truck sank in asphalt and then another truck had problems. >> reporter: contacted by telephone they say they have crews working 24/7 but they have to prioritize the calls and the crews were working on other problems before they could come out around 9 to shut off the water. >> this is unreal. they have to fix this. >> reporter: a spokesman suggested that the family file a claim for the damage to their lawn. dave statter, 9news now and wusa9.com. >> neighbors complained there had been as many as five water main breaks in the area over the past two years including another one on westview avenue. they said they do evaluate the history of these problems to determine where replacements

are needed. residents of atlanta are cleaning up tonight after more than 5 inches of rain flooded streets and homes this weekend. a flash flood warning is still in effect in areas north of georgia mountains. the runoff is causing many creeks and streams to swell. one resident found the inside of his house covered in mud and his jeep apparently swept away by the rain. >> well, i came home. i have got a missing jeep and all my -- >> stop, you have a missing jeep. what do you mean you have a missing jeep? >> it floated down the creek. i watched the jeep go all the way up to the bridge there. >> i guess the water was so high and powerful just flipped it right over. looked like a bomb exploded to be honest with you. >> reporter: the good news is there have been no reports of injuries caused by the flooding. >> a close call for a handglider pilot who crashed on the soreline in oregon. it happened friday afternoon. the coastguard located the wreckage and the stranded pilot

near a cave. after a swimmer was deployed that pilot was hoisted up to a helicopter. in california a fast growing wildfire has burned at least 250 acres near vail lake this weekend. about 30 homes have already been evacuated. meantime, air crews are hoping to drench a wildfire still burning north of los angeles. helicopters have been dropping about 80,000-gallons of water on smoldering hot spots. that blaze began last month and has destroyed dozens of homes and caused the death of two firefighters. space shuttle discovery is on a cross-country flight to florida after returning to earth earlier this month. but discovery got a piggy back ride atop a 747. there was a refueling stop in texas. the shuttle will spend the night in louisiana before being delivered tomorrow to kennedy space center in florida. earlier this month you'll recall discovery completed a

they were deaf and blind and left in a locked van outside a diner while their caretaker was having a meal inside. tonight that caretaker brian fleming is under arrest charged with three counties of neglect. witnesses became concerned after observing the three mentally challenged passengers inside the vehicle. police and ambulance were called. tonight all three passengers are said to be okay. they have been returned to the residential housing facility where they live. investigators say they found notes how to make bombs. a man is a shuttle bus driver. he and his father were arrested by the fbi at their apartment in denver. in court documents the fbi charges that his finger prints were found on a scale that could be used to make

explosives. a third man in queens new york was taken into custody. right now he is being charged on making false statements to the government. >> the allegation is that he lied when he said he had no knowledge of nine pages of handwritten bomb making material on his computer. >> he has publicly denied being involved in a terror plot but fbi agents say the afghanistan native admitted receiving training from al-qaeda. they say they became suspicious about his possible involvement in a terrorist plot as he made a cross trip to new york city. banning trans-fats. starting today restaurants are not allowed to prepare foods with ingredients that have more than half a gram of trans-fats per serving. the baltimore health department is offering help to businesses

rain showers. the high temperatures in the mid-70s for tuesday. we are going to increase the chances for rain but for tomorrow i put it at about 30%. so again, don't worry about rain as you head into work and school tomorrow. 64 degrees at national airport. 51 dew point. the air still very dry. temperatures in the western suburbs in the mid-60s. different in cloud cover. clouds at night have a tendency to keep the temperatures warmer than they would be otherwise. so the skies are a little cooler off to the northeast. 55 at vwi. clouds coming in from the west. there is some rain off to the west as well. temperatures are going to hold up tonight with the cloud cover and showers coming in and eventually that shower activity is going to catch up to us because the high pressure that has been protecting us is now moving off to the northeast. the further the high goes away from us the better the chance of rain to come in and that's going to happen during the day

tomorrow and into tuesday. as a matter of fact, there is going to be a big storm system in the central part of the country. you can see this moisture coming up the east coast. bruce was talking about the flooding in the southeast a few minutes ago. those rain showers will eventually catch up to us. we won't have flooding rain. but better chance of having precipitation. tomorrow 20 or 30% mark on that. tuesday, wednesday, put it up to 50%. temperatures won't move that much. mid to up, 70s. then by the time we get to the end of the week we will cool off and dry out. high temperatures in the low 70s on friday and saturday. so not a great forecast for the week. not as nice as it was the last couple of days but i don't think we have to get up early and worry about rain or anything like that in the morning. >> we will be okay. >> yes. >> brett is up next with a quick look at sports plus. gao÷g>yñ
