a disabled vehicle at little river turnpike at this hour blocking the left lane. be aware of that as you head out in that area. and finally, 395 northbound from duke to the 14th street bridge no problems there. back to you. many people in dundalk, maryland, are picking up the pieces after a major water main break flood 100 homes. wusa 9 digital correspondent alex trevin organization has more. >> reporter: many homeowners are waking up to find their homes full of debris. their flooded homes will keep them busy trying to recover anything of value. >> the cleanup process is not easy. ruined christmas ornaments and the worse part their home has water damage, almost six feet of water filled their basement after a main ruptured between dundalk and broening highway. >> we had a finished basement

and our house was up for sale and we were trying to move but it will be a little longer now before we can do anything. >> reporter: crews from the department department of public works rolled out equipment to help clean up. >> we are loading up the packer and trash trucks. >> reporter: county workers helped residents clear their basements. one important thing to look out for, reports of scam artists knocking on doors in dundalk saying they are doing cleanup work on the county's orders but the county executive says the county hasn't sent anyone to do such work. live from in the information center, 9 news now and wusa9.com. >> thank you for that report. police in montgomery county jailed that teenager in the murder of a woman earlier this month. officers found the body of rosa vasquez in a storage container in her backyard.

it is at castle terrace in the bridge chaney area. she was reported missing a couple of weeks ago. police believe a man shot and killed her. she charged with fist degree murder. metro is trying to keep people from taking their lives on the subway tracks. a 15-year-old is the latest to intentionally step in front of a train. a half dozen people have done it this summer including two teenagers last week. they say once a person heads for the tracks there are only minutes left. they say the key is to take any mention of suicide seriously and tell the person there is hope. president obama appeared on five television networks on sunday morning after taping interviews last week. on face the nation, the president addressed the heated health care debate. >> at various periods in

virginia. they say he murdered a pastor inside of a home in farmville and then that he will be charged with killing three others found there once the bodies are formally identified. the four-day manhunt for a killer in washington state is over. authorities caught phillip paul yesterday. he slipped away from a mental institution. he was found 180 miles away from the spot where he was last seen. fire crews in california have evacuated at least 30 homes near veil lake where it has scorched 250-acres. meanwhile air crews are trying to dredge a wildfire burning north of los angeles. that's been burning nearly a month now. a virus is attacking u.s. banks. that story is coming up in what's on the web. plus, a weekend of record rainfall has people to the

record rainfall flooded streets and some homes near atlanta this weekend. some helped watched helplessly as their vehicles washed away in the rushing floodwaters. flash flood warnings have been in affect for much of georgia. i was actually in south carolina and we expected rain but never saw it at the columbia area. >> i think it is northeastern georgia had is 16 inches of rain since last tuesday and they closed schools because they are flooded and water main problems and boil water advisories if you will. a real mess for all of the wet weather they have had and some of that will try to work toward us slowly over the next couple of days in the form of showers as early as tomorrow. the forecast first, today mid to upper 70s out there. tomorrow, same temperature range but with more clouds. we'll see a chance of a shower in the afternoon and better chance of showers and maybe

spread the h1n1 flu virus. health officials say that's because flight attendant and other workers can leave germs on any number of cabin surfaces as they move thoughout the plane. passengers tend to stay in one spot and not touch anything beyond their seat. restaurants in baltimore are no longer allowed to prepare or cook foods with ingredients that have more than a half gram of transfat. the ban took effect today. the baltimore health department is offering help to businesses and restaurants that need help complying with the new law. kristin has more on what is new on the web. >> reporter: a growing threat that you need to know about every time you log on to your bank on-line. there's growing concerns about security and on-line banking. cybercriminals have created a

saint bald ricks benefiting kids with cancer. she said it is just hair. she hoped to raise money. she is dedicated to raising money for the cause and you can donate or support her tonight. she will be at the crystal city sports pub in arlington where 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and i notary and she's actually so excited about this. her hair is a little past her shoulders and she does a lot with children's charities and helping saint baldricks so kudos to you. >> she is gorgeous. >> hair or not. >> and hair grows back as she said. >> let's talk about what is happening weather wise. a few clouds rolled in but just outside, clear and comfortable. we have 50s and 60s out there. a few spots in the low 50s especially like baltimore and andrews air force base in the low 50s. easton
