ted loza was arrested and charged with taking trips and money from taxi cab businesses. now authorities want to know more about a nonprofit that employs his wife. >> councilman jim graham's chief of staff is accused of taking bribes to push through taxi cab legislation. they asked dc drop him from the board a few week ago when agents asked questions. his wife, however, still works for them. >> before he got involved fiesta dc was financed by grants and donations but after the group hired his wife and he got involved they now receive $300,000 in city earmarks. the same type of funds that have dogged marion barry, who has given thousands to questionable nonprofits. barry wasn't talking about

neglect. the 22-year-old was at a club at the time. dozens of parents are outraged after learning their special needs kids will be pulled out of the school they love. the academy in springfield has been educating many of dc's children for 15 years, but now, as peggy fox reports, the city decided to find another place for those students. >> dc parents came to springfield today to voice their anger over the city's decision to pull their children out of the academy. >> i think it is all about money. i think they have however many million dollar short fall and they are going to try to make up that short fall by sacrificing our children. >> reporter: the school teaches 170 special needs children. >> i refuse to take my child out of the academy because they saved his life. they really did. he was just a child before he got here. >> attorney general says it is

nuclear secrets. teri okita is live from pittsburgh with more on this. >> right, talk here really shifted from economics to security this morning at the g- 20 summit. three western allies declaring that iran must cooperate fully in regards to its suspected weapons development. britain's prime minister even calling iran, saying its practices are serial deception. president obama made an accusation, iran has been hiding a secret nuclear facility and he demanded they allow inspectors inside immediately. >> the iranian government must demonstrate through deeds its peaceful intentions or be held accountable to international standards and international law. >> reporter: the u.s. has been monitoring the secret site for several years and says it is not operational yet but it is large enough to enrich uranium

for one or two bombs a year. hours after the announcement, iran confirmed the facility exists. in an interview with "time" magazine, the president mahmoud ahmadinejad said he is under no obligation to tell the u.s. about every nuclear project. the news came from pittsburgh, where world leaders are gathered for the g-20 economic summit, but between revelations about iran and the protests on the streets here, the financial work has been largely overshadowed. >> protests have been mostly peaceful but at times disrupting the city with noisy demonstrations that led to dozens of arrests. >> reporter: the city responded with a show of force. >> i'm more intimidated by police obviously than other people that i'm marching with. >> reporter: the g-20 leaders are marching ahead more quietly. they touched on the thorny question of how to put limits on bankers ' salaries and they promised a new era of

all lanes of the inner and outer loop will be shout down several times tonight midnight to 5:00 a.m. they could last five to 30 minutes we're told. it will be closed to move power lines as part of the dulles corridor metro rail project. fears that muslim prayers would have a large impact on traffic around the u.s. capitol today failed to materialize. organizers say they got the idea of this prayer vigil after hearing president obama speak about the need to reach out to muslims in america. leaders say the gathering was strictly nonpolitical. they came to pray for the soul of america because they are americans, too. we will get a check on how that prayer vigil is affecting downtown traffic. patranya bhoolsuwan is in the 9 news now traffic center. >> that's right. we'll look downtown here. this is not closing down any roads in the area near the capitol. that's good news. but plenty of people walking around in that area. so avoid that if possible.

students have contracted mrsa since the beginning of the year. the school is reporting cases including northwest, walter johnson and walt whitman high school. all four students are athletes. the principals say they were treated and the locker rooms and classrooms were immediately sanitized. the flu season is ramping up across the country and in some areas pharmacies are reporting a shortage of tamiflu. we have more on that and a public health alert from the federal government. >> the food and drug administration is warning about possible errors when it comes to doses of liquid tamiflu. most prescriptions are usually in teaspoons, but tamiflu is dosed in milligrams. >> so parents, if their child is prescribed tamiflu by a pediatrician, need to double and triple check the amount they are giving their child with both the pharmacist and if possible the pediatrician to make sure it is the right dose. >> reporter: in some areas of the country where the flu is hitting hard, pharmacies are running low on liquid tamiflu.

they are advising pharmacies how to grind up the adult version to produce a liquid form for the children. >> i will stay open later and make a couple of pint bottles so people can come and get it and not have to wait for us to make it. >> reporter: now they say they are shifting production to making pills, which is easier. tamiflu is the most prescribed treatment for the flu and it is effective against the h1n1 virus. the world health organization reports that only 28 patients worldwide had swine flu viruses that were resistant to tamiflu. experts want to make sure the drug is not overprescribed losing its effectiveness. >> that can in turn lead to viral resistance and the h1n1 strain would then potentially become resistant to antiviral medications such as tamiflu. >> reporter: health experts suggest that vaccination is the best protection. seasonal flu vaccines are available now. the first doses of the h1n1 vaccine will be distributed
