but we know that the officer shot someone in the car, multiple times. that car is stuck in the front yard of the home at that location. we've got a crew there. now to our other top stories. after a father of four is killed inside his home. it happened sunday morning on marley drive. audrey barns now joins us live with more. >> reporter: taoáeu roan richard -- tyrone richardson was on top of the world on sunday. they watched the tape to the of his son scoring the touchdown score. four hours later, richardson was dead. >> reporter: police say three masked mens stormed into the richardson's family home early sunday morning. separating tyrone from his wife and four kids and killed him. they then fled in the family's black mercedes. >> obviously he's a family man. we saw his kids all the time and stuff. so it was just kind of hard to

hear that. it could happen so close. >> reporter: neighbors say they were already on alert because of a couple of break-ins in the community. but no one could have predicted anything quite like this. >> reporter: investigators don't think there's a connection and suspect richardson was targeted. there are reports he was having financial troubles and filed for bankruptcy two weeks ago. >> well, i don't know anything about any financial problems or anything like that. i just know that we lost, we lost a very, very good guy. you know, due to a tragic situation. >> reporter: richardson's friend, he brought his bible to the house to say a prayer for his friend's family. and had he was loved by tons of people. >> reporter: him and his wife, the four kids, the baby girl, scott land, and three boys. tyler, braxton, and ryan. this neighbor, who didn't want to be identified wants to remember the family. >> whenever i would cut my roses, i would call them over and give them roses and they would take them across the street. it was a happy family. >> reporter: police, they are

helping push the medallion legislation through. >> and to where the council member was about to go through it, because well, they got busted without putting a lot of us out of business. >> we fully believe once all the evidence has been put in front of the jury, he'll be completely indicated. >> the 34, loza, was a leader in the local hispanic community. they say that privately, he was strapped for cash. borrowing from the constituent funds. needing the help in buying this home and seeking assistance to help pay his utility bill. earning over $90,000 for his job. he could not vote for the councilman. he was not a u.s. citizen. >> mr. loza has never to my recollection, spoken to me about any element of any taxicab bill that i was considering. >> reporter: fbi agents last woke searched his work space at the district office building. his offices were not searched. in the meantime, he remained at

his office this afternoon, refusing our public comments through a news spokesperson, he denies a portion of our report last night. in which we say he's a tart of the fbi investigation. the councilman continues to say that he's not a target. this is bruce johnson reporting from downtown washington, 9news now and wusa9.com our sources say other bribes were offered to an official at the dc taxicab official. that official went to dc police who brought in the fbis to invest -- fbi to investigate. requesting an interview from graham today. and his office says loza did pay back the money he borrowed from the constituency funds. immigration and custom officials or i.c.e. says they received that overseas. the money was found inside shipping containers earlier this month. this is one of the largest in

u.s. history and all drug money. ice says the level of sophistication used to move the money out of the u.s. should be a warning to all of us. >> we are seeing a very, very sophisticated effort as you can see it it the photographs to remove large amounts of money through the lawful shipping trade, profits coming from the illegal drug trade down through mexico ultimately to columbia. >> reporter: ice says the seizure will help them fight criminal organization to smuggle trugs into the u.s. but so far, they have not made any arrests in this case. the money will be forfeited to columbia and mexico where it was found. >> all right, this is just in. the u.s. secret service is invest dating a possible -- investigating a possible online threat. they asked whether people thought president obama should be assassinated. that poll was posted on saturday on facebook and they have since been taken down.

well, when you think about how jim thorne became the head coach in washington, sort of around the beltway, he really needed to get off and get that
