the men to lose their footing all fall nearly 30 feet. they both survived. the wind caused this large tree to topple near the intersection of 64th street and ridge drive in the cabin john section of bethesda. it crashed in the front yard of a home and onto a street. no one was injured there. topper shutt is standing by in the weather center. he's got more on this wind alert. >> reporter: can you imagine if we had these winds when foliage was on the trees. fortunately in the summertime we get winds that just gust. we've had strong winds for 12 hours. let me show you the gusts. the wind advisories are in longer in -- no longer in effect for us. they are in the mountains but they're still 22 in baltimore. here's the highest gusts. 52 at national and 59 in frederick. these are incredible. 60 in leaseburg and 71 miles per hour wind gust in martinsburg, west virginia. that is within 3 miles of a hurricane force wind. that's unbelievable. they're going to be slow to diminish and gust at least

>> reporter: marie olson killian was horrified to find her son's name attach a nude photograph. >> they were saying the person in the lewd photograph was my son. my son's name appeared as the individual in the photograph. luckily my son has no similar physical characteristics. >> reporter: at first her son suspected it was a prank by a classmate. >> he came downstairs and said we don't know who this is. this is not one of our friends. >> reporter: just the last three weeks. predator has infiltrated the facebook accounts of nearly 200 students. >> when you set up on these accounts you're giving your name, your date of birth, your city and state. there is a lot of information. your web history, where you're going. >> reporter: the national center for mission and exploited children investigates leads of predators controlling social media sites. >> this they can be used to create accounts and wreak havoc on credit histories and a lot of times teenagers

won't know until they a apply for financial aid in college. >> reporter: cyber crime investigators are seeing a growing trend of teens and even children becoming the victims of identity theft. in this case, the imposter's facebook page was taken down late last night. andrea mccarren, 9 news now. the national center for missing and exploited children has a cyber tip line where parents can roirnt appropriate activity. it receives 100 leads every week. it's 1-800-843-5678. montgomery county police tell us a third man is in custody for the rape of an 11-year-old girl. police say 39-year-old rohalio mondragon and two other men grabbed the sixth grader tuesday night. they say the man dragged the child to an apartment on carol avenue and raped her. enough at 6:00 a prostitution bust that

spanned several states. julie mckenna and mark brick house are accused of luring a 17-year-old runway from california to new york and forcing her into prostitution. that happened last december. this week the two brought the girl to a hotel in -- woodbridge, virginia. she managed to escape and begged a clerk at a store for help. the two hid out at a hotel in laurel, maryland and that's where marshals arrested them. now they are back in prince georges county awaiting trial. get to breaking news in montgomery county. this is a fire in white oak. a townhouse fire in the white oak section of silver spring. it's a second alarm fire. this is at 11273 columbia pike. off 29. fire was seen coming threw the roof. -through the roof. there is breaking news at

office of the toledo plaza apartments spotted smoke and called for help. audrey barnes joins us live. >> reporter: a neighbor who lives next door says she banged ferociously on the door trying to alert the 5-year-old man inside with his young daughter. when they didn't answer she rushed back to her own apartment to get her family out. and wait for fire crews who finally got the pair out. >> i said in 203 there is a baby with her father. >> reporter: she was practically hysterical knowing the little girl who is like a granddaughter to her was trapped in a burning apartment with her dad. >> when i was outside i was shouting help the baby. >> reporter: hyattsville fire crews rushed into the burning apartment and found them. >> they took both individuals out of the apartment and got them immediately to the ambulance twit we took them to the hospital. >> reporter: both needed cpr. the child was suffering from smoke inhalation. her dad, burned over 80% of

his body. >> the units made a valiant effort to get the individuals out as quickly as they could. and that's what they did. >> now, still no word tonight about what exactly caused this fire. neighbors tell me they heard a loud bam and saw smoke pouring from underneath the door into the hallway. leslie? >> was the fire contained to just that one apartment there? >> reporter: yes. it went to two alarms and crews got here quickly and managed to contain it. other people in the building were evacuated but at 6:07 the lights came back on and families are now being allowed back into their homes. their thoughts are obviously with the injured man and his young daughter who are in very critical condition tonight. >> let's hope they recover. thank you for that. we can consider ourselves lucky. we didn't get the snow component much this latest north least storm. certainly not that much of it.

right now. wind gusts, we're still seeing wind gusts over 20 miles per hour and going to probably see wind gusts 25 to 30 miles per hour until midnight. there are no wind advisories or high-wind warnings. out toward the mountains, strong winds but not damaging winds. tonight, windy and cold, snow showers possible. also flurries possible. low temperatures is 25 to 30 and winds west, northwest, 15 to 25 and gusty. let me show you the live doppler. this will show you strong snow showers. we talked about this yesterday. they're spinning around finally crossing the river. we'll go out toward lowden county and leesburg. these are pretty good snow showers. especially north of leesburg, past to aldi. everything is pushing down to the south and east. it's going to roll down the dulles toll rode in the next couple hours. we'll move a little further to the north and east. these are heavy too on the west side of 270.

from clarksburg westward and up toward urban a. poolesville, pretty good snow showers. they will lay down a coating. let's talk about temperatures. still above freezing, thankfully. 36 in vi en a 36 in the plains and 37 in culpepper. below freezing toward kaiser. 31 you there. tomorrow morning mostly cloudy, windy and cold. flurries possible but no snow showers. 20s and 30s. winds west, southwest at 10 to 20. tomorrow, maybe a flurry but hides 40 to 45 and winds westerly at 10-15. satellite picture will zoom into the big storm out on the california coast. that's where a lot of the storms have come from this year. no exception here. this is going to move into the four corners area and move into the gulf coast and then get to a position off the southeast coast next week. we will watch it very carefully. this monster storm, the backlash of the storm is off
