his band vintage. you can see it on the web. what he can't forget is the explanation dc school's chancellor michelle reid gave the company last month for the firing of 260 teachers and staff. i had got rid of teachers who hit children, who had sex with children, who missed 78 days of school. >> it hurts deeply because i have never, ever hit a child in school. i have never done anything inappropriate with the child. >> reporter: jones says her remarks hurts the reputation of all those she fired. >> we have brought suit on the basis of defamation, infliction of emotional stress. ♪ it's my imagination >> reporter: he says it's not his imagination. he can see the results on his granddaughter. >> friends she had who visit now won't visit. and any job that i apply and ask

-- and when they ask where i'm coming from and i tell them the dc public school systems, it's pretty short conversation, you know. no job is available. >> reporter: a spokeswoman for reid told 9news now we don't comment on litigation against the district. she was formally served last week and has not yet filed responsive pleadings in court. the suit will be followed closely because jones is asking for millions and there is more than 200 other teachers and staff who could arguably make the same claims. derek and anita. the attorney general today made good on his promise to sue the federal government over health care overhaul legislation. >> the governor insists that new law is unconstitutional because it will force people to purchase health insurance or face financial penalties. tonight we sat down with our own andrea mckaren for a spirited conversation about the move that put him in the national spotlight. >> when i ran for office, i was

very, very clear that i was running in part to contest the overreach of power by the federal government. >> reporter: even with a broken foot, , the attorney general is quickly reaching his stride. filing a lawsuit against the federal government for what he calls an unprecedented, unconstitutional act. >> there is no precedent in history for the federal government ordering americans to buy some good or service from other people. >> reporter: what do you say to the 31 million americans who don't have health insurance? >> there are an awful lot of things we can do to increase competition, allow customers more power and bring down costs so that health care is more accessible to people. >> reporter: critics wonder if he was motivated by politics and not the law. do you have preferential --

>> absolutely not. our lawsuit is about the constitution, period. and whether or not it's violated by this bill. and, therefore, whether virginia's statute should stand or fall protecting citizens from an individual mandate. that is all our lawsuit is about. >> reporter: so what is this lawsuit costing virginia taxpayers? so far the $350 filing fee. now, even though the attorney general is just a few months into his first term, he told us tonight he plans to run for reelection. we spoke with several constitutional law experts and interestingly they are split on whether the attorney general has a case and whether they believe it will ultimately be decided by the supreme court. derek. well, if today was not controversial or significant enough, vice president joe biden threw just a little more gasoline on the fire when he made a comment and it was all caught on tape. that one spread like wildfire online. but instead of the white house

trying to distance itself from the remark, they're doing the exact opposite. they said, yes, mr. vice president, you are right. new at 11:00, road rage leads to gunfire along busy i95. this all went down about 4:30 this afternoon in prince williams county. a dump truck tried to merge on the highway but the truck got into it with a jaguar. the truck hit the jag twice. both vehicles ended up on the side. the truckdriver fired a gun. police sided the trucker for reckless driver but several charges are pending against the driver of the jaguar and would you believe his 2-year-old daughter was in the car. fortunately nobody was hurt. a little girl is in the hospital tonight after a dog bit the child in the face. it happened in the 400-block of

atlantic :00-block of atlantic street southeast in dc around 7:30 this evening. they took the children to the hospital for treatment. they caught the animal that attacked her on south capitol. an update now to an investigation into a death in if he had rick county, maryland. -- frederick county, maryland. morgan plat accidentally drowned. they discovered his body. he told family members he was leaving on a bus trip to california or florida just before he died. and they say he would often walk by the dam to short enhis trip to the -- shorten his trip to the bus stop. also new at 11:00, police need your help to find a missing teenagers. officers are looking for 17-year-old raquel fuentes. she was last seen friday in the 9600-block of alpine drive. her family is kind of worried because she suffers from a medical condition and may not have her medication with her. police are also looking for your help to find a missing 12-year-old from testimony pill hills. she has -- temple hills.

she has been missing since last friday. she told her parents she was staying after school for an event that ended at 7:00 p.m. when dixon's parents reported her missing, it was after they went to school and picked her up and found there was no such event. anybody with information about either of those missing teens call the police. a local man who identified himself as a chiropractor for two sports teams is behind bars for taking part in a steroid distribution operation. we have details and reaction from the teams. brett. >> reporter: nagel is a doctor who claims to be the team chiropractor for the washington nationals and capitals. both of the sports teams are taking great pains to distance themselves from the doctors tonight. two investigators from the polk county, florida sheriff's office spent part of the day at capitol's office investigating him that nagel and another doctor who was arrested in

have on people walking. a driver traveling 35 miles an hour hits the brake 29 feet from a dummy in the street. far too fast for avoiding it. in virginia, a warning from police about a man who is exposing himself on the washington and old dominion bike trail. police cite 11 cases dating back to mid january and they urge women to avoid being on the trail alone or using devices like headphone to prevent hearing when somebody is approaching. they also recommend carrying the cell phone. plain clothes officers are patrolling the bike trail. they have been missing for more than three decades. we look at the disappearance of the lyons sisters. a new study shows what is true in nature is true when it comes to us when men try to court a pretty lady. showers are moving out. we'll take you out with the

. taking a look around the world, in louisiana a car ran a stop sign slamming into a bus and another car. a woman died on the scene. emergency crews took two other people to the hospital for treatment. now no children were on the bus at the time of the terrible crash. in philadelphia, two pre teens are in trouble accused of attacking a woman as part of a playground game. the 11 and 12-year-old called it catch and wreck in which the kids targeted people they thought were homeless and then beat and robbed them for fun. the victims suffered minor injuries. in mississippi, it's a win-loose situation for a lesbian student whose school cancelled prom because she wanted to bring her girlfriend to it. it violated the girl's rights but they would not force the school to hold the dance anyway. this week marks the 35th anniversary of one of the most

mysterious disappearances in the washington area. march 25th, 1975, two youngsters, sheila and katherine lyon, vanished while walking home from a shopping mall just a half mile away from their house. tonight we revisit the case and for the first time see new enhanced age pictures of what the girls right look like today. an extensive search for the sisters began just hours after they were due home. 12-year-old sheila and 10-year-old katherine walked from their house to eat pizza and see easter displays. it was here that they were seen showing a man and talking to him in a tape recorder. the girls have never been found. >> sheila and kate are still 10 and 12. >> are still 10 and 12. that's the same age they were. >> this is john and mary li i don't knows, the -- lyons

parents. they felt cheated. >> the bride he didn't walk the aisle. the grandchildren we didn't have. the son-in-laws we didn't have. >> this family has suffered unimaginable pain and ang witch these past -- anguish these past 35 years. >> this is a case that will remain active in our files until we know what happened to these girls. >> this is sheila. >> the center works closely with montgomery county police who also continue to work this case. >> this is katherine. >> using art and science, forensic imaging specialists have helped create aged enhanced images of the girls over the year. these are the latest pictures of what sheila and katherine could look like today in their 40s. >> it's close to my heart because of being familiar with the case and, again, having seen pictures of the family and knowing some of the circumstances. >> circumstances that seem to have stood still for so many years and still haunt a family

seeking answers. >> and the lyons also have two sons. one of them works for the montgomery county police and john lyon, the girl's father, has volunteered working with crime victims in the county as well. caught on tape in texas, a police officer is in trouble after ramming his patrol car into another car. he had just made a u-turn to try to catch up with a speeding vehicle when he clipped the rear end of another car. the patrol car ended up hitting the curb before plowing into some trees. the department is now evaluating if the officer followed proper procedure. city leaders in la are taking another look at red light cameras after a six-month long investigation. a local tv station found accidents were actually up at 20 of the 32 intersections that had the cameras. police say rear end collisions may have increased but the number of deadly accidents is down. >> it's reduced the most serious types of accidents which are right angle. and because now people are

following the rules of the road to stop at red lights, sometimes we will have rear end accidents as a result of that. >> in fact, the police say the rear end accidents are a byproduct of the cameras because drivers are following too close behind one another when someone hits the brakes. in the animal kingdom it goes down like this. the male of the species shows off his stuff, whatever that stuff might be, in moepz hopes of attracting -- hopes of attracting the finest female he can get. we all know proof positive in the human kingdom we're not that much different. they asked young adult men to perform skate board tricks in front of guys and then in front of an attractive woman and just like you expect the pretty face made the guys pull out all of the stops and take on much greater risk. out on the streets of dc, we could find no one surprised by that result. >> well, having once myself been a young man, i can attest to the fact that female can skew our
