thank you, angie. most of the foreign leaders attending the nuclear security summit arrived over the weekend. president barack obama met with several of them at the white house. today and tomorrow, representatives of 47 countries will try to reach an agreement how to keep nuclear womans weapons out of the hand of tourists. with all of those heads of states and their motorcades traveling to and from the convention center and elsewhere, traffic disruptions have inevitable. now, with more is alex. he is live from along michigan avenue in northwest washington. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. we are at new york 7 and florida. a major corridor from people

from the east. traffic is flowing just fine right now, but this could turn into a bottleneck from the convention center. we have nat far away and there is this far from the nuclear security summit. part of the nation's capital is shutdown for the nuclear security summit. that means if you plan to drive-thru the heart of the city it will be gid lock. >> like a bomb did hit the city. >> reporter: the metro station was closed since sunday night. >> it is a big deal. there are thousands of folks who used it to get to work. >> 24 blocks locked down. washington, d.c. police and the secret service has cleared the way for dozens of motorcades from the leaders of 47 nations to get in and out of the convention center. so, if you need to weevil through the city to arrive at

teachers salaries in the area have jump 40% in the past decade. teachers in montgomery county have to largest salaries. salaries in the area's biggest school system have dropped 2% when adjusted for inflation. people around the world with polish routes are morning the death of that con's president in a weekend plane crash. tens of thousands packed a square last night for a candle light vigil. they sang the national anthem and tossed flowers. poland president and dozens of other officials died in russia.

daughter. autopsies will be done to determine how they died. police are saying that the suspect is this 34-year-old and he may be driving a 1999 silver acura with virginia tags. anyone with information should contact alexandria police. a fire will not keep students at one washington, d.c. high school from going to class today. it took about 75 firefighters to down the flames at eastern high school. construction works working on roof renovations accidently started the fire. washington, d.c. firefighters were busy at another school on mississippi everywhere playground equipment caught fire. the flames damaged windows and an outside wall. investigators are trying to determine how that fire started. today the investigation intensifies into last week's mining disaster in west
