assaults, thefts or other crimes over the first six months of this year. and nearly double the 575 crimes in 2006. theft of electronic devices acted for most of the crimes. robbery and larceny is up during the first six months of last year. metro transit police said that devices like smart phones and mp3 players have grown more extensive and more riders are carrying them now. they have launched a public awareness campaign to keep their property secure. more uniformed officers are being posted around station and more plain clothed officers riding plains. metro traditionally has more crime in the second half of the

year. so be away. the man responsible for a murder-suicide at the johns hopkins hospital became distraught after receiving bad news about his mother at the hospital. he shot and killed a the man when he told him that his mother would never walk again. he shot the doctor, shot and killed his mother and then took his own life. it was a shocking incident at a hospital that is one of the best in the world. >> i don't understand why a hospital like this doesn't have more metal detectivetors. >> dr. cohen was rushed into surgery for abdominal injuries and he is expected to recover. investigators are trying to determine what led to the death a teenager. emergency crews took the teen to the hospital where he later
