>> i mean, that's really offensive. i don't know what else to tell you. >> reporter: offensive and shocking that a man allegedly exposed himself and ejaculated on the arm of a female student as she studied in the school library. >> that's scary. i guess start studying at home. >> you never want to hear or read reports like this. >> reporter: it happened saturday afternoon. the victim reported the crime right away. >> she contacted our library employee and she asked the library employee to call 911 and the security office. >> reporter: they chased the suspect across campus but got away. this prompted them to review the security measures on campus. there was video of the suspect. that helped them get details of the suspect and his car. >> that's terrible. we were talking about this earlier in work and it was just terrible to hear about this sort

really hope one of you find this. >> police are investigating whether the message in the chalk is connected to the explosives. get this, the bag full of c-4 was discovered last year. the cemetery caretaker simply left it around on the property. maybe he didn't realize what it was. it was this past weekend another worker found it and that worker called the cops. a man is in jail accused of trying to shoot his neighbor. police say 31-year-old la von pointer opened fire on his neighbor's house. two people were inside the house at the time and one of them was hit in the ankle. pointer is charged with three counts and being held without bond. voter this is maryland will head to the poles to pick the new governor. the top two candidates faced off in a debate you saw on 9 news now. martin o'malley squaring off

with bob ehrlich in their first debate. the tone, heated and personal. the men took swipes at each other over everything from negative ads and attacks. >> i know you do this thing and talk about working families and all that. working families have been hammered over the past four years. sales tax increase, community colleges are getting hurt and furloughs are aggressive. >> i have an obligation to make sure the public understands notwithstanding the former governor's fantasy world because he didn't raise taxes. he raised property taxes and college tuition by 40% and tolls and the like. >> thursday at noon, they go toe to toe once again. this time it will be at the washington post and we will air that entire debate on 9 news now and www.wusa9.com and yours truly will serve as one of the panelists. >> should be interesting. tomorrow is the last day to register to vote if you plan on casting a ballot november 2nd.

compound -- it can give your child a marijuana like buzz and in some cases act like a hallucinogen. >> i've done it with a kid before back in the day when he started coming off of it and he felt really, really incredibly depressed and wanted to kill himself. >> reporter: they report other side effects, too. >> difficulty in urination. panic to some degree and dry mouth, dizziness. >> reporter: despite the side effects, the internet is loaded with teenagers experimenting with nutmeg. many say it takes hours to get the high but first you have to get it down. >> it is really disgusting. like i've never tasted anything more disgusting. it's definitely not worth it. >> reporter: alex no longer uses nutmeg and felt it was important to talk with us and warn other kids to stay away.

yet. we'll have a temperature correction. here's the forecast for the next three days. 88 today and 80 tomorrow. plenty warm and a slight chance of a shower or a thunderstorm. they'll be few and far between. cooler and dry wednesday and back in the mid-60s. tweak the temperature down a little bit and on thursday some showers and light rain possible. temperatures will struggle to get to 60 because of the northeast wind. we'll break down tomorrow. again, i would bring the shade. we have a couple drops here but not a completely cloudy day. mild start, 65. 78 by lunchtime and 80 by evening with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. now for tonight, mostly cloudy skies and mild and low temperatures 56 to 64. winds westerly at 10. let me show you the titan. if you were walking the dog and saw lightning to the east, there was one monster storm that exited prince georgia county.

well, anybody can get you a base hit. if you need a walk off home run in the bottom of the 9th of a tied game, you want a-rod or pujols at the plate. like wise, anybody can skoal you a goal but you want alex ovechkin with the puck. ovechkin wasn't really having a great game. he got called for three penalties and two shots and minus one on the score sheet and he wasn't happy about it at all. game tied at 1 and this was a gorgeous feed. game would go to overtime tied at 2. under a minute left in the overtime and ovechkin locks in carrying the puck across the line and uses the defensemen as the screen. ball game right there.

d.c. native marvin austin dismissed from the north carolina football team today for accepting illegal benefits from an agent. he was one of the top defensive prospects in the country. experts say he may still go in the first round. finally, texas tech tried an on side kick against baylor saturday. you know it needs to travel 10 yards. this one traveled about 8, at which baylor said i'll take that and ran it in for a 38-yard touchdown. i do not believe that's what they had in mind when they called that. >> that is the on side kick nightmare every special team's coach has. >> we'll be right back.
