12:19 pm
northwest northernly winds are slowly coming down. i think overnight they will be ten miles an hour, maybe five to ten toward tomorrow morning. low unless the low 40s here in washington and mid 30s in our suburbs. the satellite and radar showing not much. wall to wall sunshine out there once again. the storm spins in the atlantic and that is driving the winds and giving us nice weather. frederick up to 61. 60 winchester. cumberland is 61. petersburg up to 63 and fredericksburg is 62. along the bay you get the benefit at night from the body of water so you don't get as cold but this time of the year it is a cold body of water. you are in the mid-50s and here in washington we have 58, sunny skies and the dye points in the 30s. one of the things i have been talking about humidifiers you take the dry air and heat it up to 70 and the indoor relative humidity is not 44% but more like 14 to 20%.
12:20 pm
very dry. the winds northwest at 12 and some gusts to 21 in manassas, 20 cambridge. 20 winchester. so we have pockets of those gusty winds and that's going to be the case. there are three storms on the map. there's one in the rockies with snow. a new one in the northwest some in the mid-atlantic. this storm has been a monster. one in main and another through the cape there, martha's vineyard, nantucket. this is far enough away from us so that other than the winds we are not affected by it. the other problem with the storm, while keeping us cool it is not allowing high pressure and warmer temperatures to move in quickly. the next few days we will stay with a northernly flow. the storm by midnight is still slow to move out. it has been here a couple of days. fine through midday and the afternoon and evening. and here's high pressure as we head to veteran's day.
12:21 pm
if this is over us and the winds are light we won't warm up as much. in good shape the next couple of days. the highs today, low 60s in town. stay in the mid to upper 50s along the bay. we have shot past these to the low 60s. culpeper maybe 64 the way it is going. looking good next thee days. 62 in town today. little breezy. even a little breeze tomorrow, around 60. thursday, 60ish, perhaps upper 50s and then we look really nice. veteran's day is looking good. friday the high school football games on friday night looking good. dropping to the 50s and sunday mid-60s and some rain by next monday. that's the weather. we are going to the kitchen when 9 news now
