everybody knows. i cannot see my son. people have money, they have money their whole life. i accumulate my son's money. i lose one of them. so it's more than money to me. >> reporter: the attorney says the lawsuit will rest on testimony before the alcohol and beverage control board that examines what he believes are in adequacy in dc nine security plan and what he describes as a lack of training for employees. the suit will be filed tomorrow with the defendant's response to follow that. derek. >> all right. thank you, gary. one word describes the thieves behind ten break-ins and that word is bold. these thieves kick in doors, they slash screens, break windows, they even hit homes with alarm systems. and they're not afraid to rip off somebody sleeping inside.

11:15 pm
the leaders of iran. and it's all got to do with the allegations that iran plotted to kill the saudi ambassador of the united states at a restaurant here in dc. iran will have to "pay a price" for what he calls dangerous and reckless behavior. >> we don't take any options off the table in terms of how we operate with iran. >> president obama would not offer any specifics on what measures the white house might take, nor would he say whether the administration believes iran's supreme leader personally knew about the alleged plot. federal investigators say at least one suspect is in custody and he is naming names. in tonight's consumer alert, no secret out there that health care costs are ballooning. even if you have insurance, many doctors and procedures aren't completely covered. and more patients are left to pay higher deductibles and bigger chunks of the bill. tonight lesli foster has the

typical discounted prices. >> reporter: ask if recommended tests are the only options. >> many times there are less expensive options that are just as good. >> reporter: it's also possible to negotiate hospital charges. >> make sure the billing department knows you're willing to work out a payment plan and then propose an amount and a timetable you can manage. >> reporter: you may not always be successful in haggling over medical costs, but you can't be shy in asking. >> there is a possibility you can bring the price down. >> reporter: it really does work. now, consumer experts say you should also settle all questions about costs before you pay your medical bill. that way you'll have more leverage to bargain. lesli foster, 9news now. give a teacher an apple, and that's cool. but how about a check for 25,000 bucks. well, that is what one dc teacher received today during a surprised rally from a group

tonight we kick off a new weekly segment we call grade the game. each week our redskins experts will break down each part of the

upcoming match up and tell us who they think have the better -- you know former all pro for the redskins. brian mitchell has been here quite a bit and the newest member of our team and is our redskins insider david. the redskins host the eagle on sunday, so we'll get right to it starting with the pass offense. brian, who do you think has the advantage in that category? >> i think the eagles do. you have michael vick. i think they're a lot more explosive than the redskins. >> and david who is your pick? >> not even close. michael vick, it's just a knock out for the eagles. >> so we have both david and brian. going to the run offense. david, who do you think has the advantage here? >> the eagles has the most dangerous quarterback on the ground michael vick. they have mckoy.
11:27 pm
the redskins have ryan terrain staying healthy right now. >> i go with the redskins. when you think about going into a game just to run the football, the combination i think gives you a much more effective running game. michael vick is explosive. >> so you guys are split on this one. david sticking with philly. brian going with the redskins on that one. all right. going to the other side of the ball, who has the leg up, brian, in the pass defense? >> it's the redskins all the way. everyone thinks about the eagles with their cornerback. but the redskins get to the quarterback. they put pressure on the quarterback. and i think that makes the pass defense better. >> the redskins are playing better. they're playing better in the secondary. the funny thing is deangelo hall is not having a good season but they're still better than philadelphia. >> so both of you guys are going for the redskins in the pass defense. what about the run defense, david? >> washington has really upgraded there big time. advantage redskins.
11:28 pm
>> i agree. >> david. >> you are looking for people that were added to the redskins defensive line. the redskins are by far the best. that's why everyone loves it. >> so both the redskins again. they win on the defensive side of the ball. that will do it for this week's grade the game. back to you guys.
