i'm terrell brown in for betty nguyen. in some cities where there are protests against corporate greed of spread, demonstrators were confronted by police. in seattle, police warned the protesters to leave the park they occupy and in denver they were ordered to leave a park near the colorado state capital. here in new york where the "occupy wall street" movement began four weeks ago, police will force the demonstrators to move. they occupy a park near wall street. some protesters say they will have to be force to do leave. hazel sanchez has details. >> reporter: in undieing solidarity, members of "occupant wall street" march to city hall petitioning mayor bloomberg to plow through the park with an

the nypd and a cleanup crew tomorrow morning. protesters have been cleaning up the park with soapy bedrooms and piling up trash on the curb. nevertheless mayor bloomberg outlined a plan to scrub down the park at 7:00 a.m. protesters can return under certain conditions. >> they will be able to go back but they won't be able to bring back tents and sleeping bags and the other equipment that they have put in place there. >> reporter: camping gear is prohibited and protesters can no longer sleep on the ground or on benches if it interferes with others. legal experts say the city will be breaking the law if they bring in the cops to clear out the park without a court order tonight several city leaders spoke out in support of the occupation. >> it's up to the mayor and everyone at city hall now to change course and sit down with the people from "occupy wall street" and find a peaceful way

forward. >> reporter: in prefersotesters cannot be stopped. >> protest leaders say they have another manhattan site picked out if they can't return to their location. a memorial service last night for the victims in that salon murder. the eight people killed wednesday were remembered with flowers, photos and tears. >> this is a wake-up call. this stuff is happening all over. it doesn't matter. no one is protected and you have to tell your loved ones you love them every day. >> police say scott dekraii walked into the salon and opened up with a pistol. it took a jury eight hours in new haven, connecticut, to convict a man in the gruesome home invasion murder of a mother and her two doubts.

joshua komisarjevsky and another man were accused of the murder. the father william petit was the only survivor and had this to say to comkomisarjevsky. >> i told him from the beginning he is a lying socially pathic. >> politics now. a revolt of sorts by some presidential candidates. republicans in particular. including a threat to boycott the nevada caucus unless the date is moved back. the eye was caucus january 3rd and nevada caucus january 14th and new hampshire are prepared to schedule their first in the nation primary for december. jon huntsman and newt gingrich and rick santorum and michele bachmann say they will skip

nevada unless the date is changed. at the white house, the president and first lady had a reception for the south korean president and his wife. in his post mr. obama said that lee is nicknamed the bulldozer because he is unstoppable. the president pushes his jobs plan today. back in washington, senate republicans are pushing their own very different program. susan mcginnis lays it all out in washington for us this morning. susan, good morning to you. >> good morning, terrell. the two presidents head to michigan today and talking about how the new trade deal will create jobs around the country and in the auto industry. meanwhile, here in washington, republicans are trying to gain support for their own very different job-creating ideas. just a day after praising a new trade deal with south korea. >> the korea free trade act we believe will create 70,000 jobs. >> reporter: president obama will head to michigan today with

south korea's president to tour a gm plant that is using south korean parts. thursday the president said the u.s. auto industry and farmers and manufacturers will benefit in particular from the new agreement and used it to prove that compromise is possible on capitol hill. >> this trade act that just passed shows we are happy to work with republicans where they are willing to put politics behind the interest of the american people. >> reporter: but when it comes to creating jobs president obama and the gop are still far apart. senate republicans are now floating their own jobs plan and it doesn't include a single item from the president's bill. >> the president's plan does nothing new. ours is the way to go. >> reporter: the gop proposal calls for repealing the president's health care law and requiring a balanced budget. it would also lower corporate and individual tax rates and ease government regulations on

businesses. >> this is a bill that can pass if the democrats will open their eyes and work with us. >> reporter: president obama says he is willing to work with republicans, but he's not giving up on his own plan just yet. monday, he'll kick off a three-day bus tour to promote it. now, in a phone call yesterday, house speaker john boehner rejected president obama's comments that republicans have not come up with too many job creating ideas. boehner said e, oh, yes we have. a bill came out last may and 11 other bills have come up that never made it for the senate floor for a boat. >> the back and forth continues. susan mcginnis for us in washington thank you. an investigation under way this morning into an airline crash in the jungle of new guinea that killed 28 people. four people including the two pilots survived thursday's crash. the twin engine plane went down in stormy weather about 12 miles from its destination. the crew radioed there was an emergency situation on board. french prosecutors dropped a rape case against dominique

google didn't disappoint. after the closing bell the internet search giant said sales jumped 33% from july to september to just under $10 billion. profits easily blew past wall street's expectations. some big banks on wall street could soon see their credit ratings cut. the rating service warned thursday it might downgrade bank of america and morgan stanley and goldman sacks, among others. in a statement fitch said it's worried about the banks' physical health in the months ahead. nearly 200 us locations will be closed of gap. 21% of its stores by the end of between. old navy and banana republic chains which gap also owns will not be affected. but gap plans to triple the number of stores it has overseas there. apple fans in japan were the

republicans unveiled their own jobs plan thursday no. a self proclaimed super hero in seattle revealed his true identity after a run in with the law. our seattle station reports. >> reporter: wearing his signature black and gold max, phoenix jones enters the hall of justice. seattle's self proclaimed crime fighter in court to answer for his actions in this video. the video, shot by a local production company, following jones as he tried to break up what he thought was a fight between a group of people. but the crowd turned on him. one woman repeatedly chased him and beat him with her shoe. jones fired pepper spray and was later arrested for investigation of misdemeanor assault. the supposed fight with his a group of friends dancing and messing around. in court, jones's identity was nearly revealed when the so-called super hero was told to follow the court's no hat rule,

like everyone else. so he switched seats. but a few minutes later a judge told jones's attorney no charges would be filed against him. >> there were no charges filed. i will continue to patrol. >> reporter: outside the jail jones revealed his true name and face to reporters. >> i'm phoenix jones. i check the city, i'm a father and brother, just like everyone else. the only difference is i decided to make a difference and stop crime in my neighborhood and my area. >> reporter: jones, aka 23-year-old ben fodder, said he invited police to patrol with him. >> the charges were false. the video shows that. the court hearing shows that. if anyone witness to join me or help me out, send me a message. i'll be in the streets. >> the seattle city attorney still could file charges against jones. i asked the seattle police department if they would accept jones's invitation to join him on patrol. a spokeswoman told me quote i

1:00 this morning. go over to 270 southbound, no incidents here. everything looks fine down to where the lanes divide. 66 in rosalyn, roosevelt bridge nice and quiet and a last like at 95, looking good coming up from fred ricksburg and into springfield. they can't get a break this morning. parts of virginia had tornadoes. >> yesterday a tornado touched down. >> it was about four miles away. >> reporter: when the rain and winds cleared, this is what was left of the house on sylvania farms, built before the revolutionary war. the winds were so strong it blew chunks on to nearby trees.

>> observed it touching down. trees, flying debris everywhere. actually reported the roof being twisted off of this house. >> reporter: the house sits on nearly 300 acres of open land. the tornado could have touched downey where near here and not damaged much. but instead, it chose the house. >> the roof that came off of the house was massive. you can see the debris. and underneath all the crumbled materials are large pillars and columns that used to stand in front of the house. >> this was built in 1746. those two windows were 1746. >> reporter: frank lehman, the caretaker, took us inside. just upstairs a clear view of the night sky. the damage here estimated to be close to half a million dollars. >> how much work we have to do, how much headache it is going to be. >> reporter: residents throughout the county just can't seem to catch a break. officials here
