>> check out this video from yesterday afternoon along i-95 in quantico, virginia. sent to us from a viewer. it is confirmed a tornado hit there. you can see debris flying between cars again. luckily no one was hurt. >> that video had several different angles of that tornado that crossed near training and quantico yesterday afternoon at about 5:30. a weak tornado but weak tornadoes do damage, obviously. thank you for watching us at 6:00 a.m. monika will have more on traffic. howard do we have more of the tough stuff coming today? >> reporter: more showers and storms will be occurring. they will be moving in over the next two to three hours. the morning will start wet but the afternoon will finish sunny. right now cloudy and 66. we will be in the mid-60s at 9:00 with showers west of town. midday showers and storms

around. this afternoon the sun comes back. we finished sunny and 6 8 degrees. grab the rain gear and sunglasses. you'll need them both today. there is a little tiny bit of lightning south and west. i'm seeing yellow and his reds now from charlotte south. all of this moving north and east. the rains are getting close and closer. here's interstate 66. the light green you see these are a few light sprinkles. when you get south of orange and culpepper, i-64, that is where we are getting steadier rains to be developing in the next couple of hours. mid-60s in town. mid 60 in the shenandoah valley and cambridge 68. annapolis 6. going about 70, 71. giving the yellow light all morning long because of the road conditions and we have had incidents around town. look at the beltway, see the red cars, let's zoom in there. there was an early morning accident on the outer loop just past this camera shot after

connecticut avenue. everything was cleared up, add another 15 minutes at this point to your ride. back over to the maps. no problems on route 5, route 4, route 301 heading to the beltway. a live look at the beltway on route 202. you are going to be fine as you head south toward andrews air force base. a quick look at your trains, everything is running on time. metro and mark. coming up in my next report, we'll take a look at virginia. surae and andrea? >> nearly 36 hours into the search for a missing boy. we know his mother is dead and his stepfather is in custody. this is the case that stretches from montgomery county to north carolina. the most important thing is to find this 11-year-old boy. >> reporter: you said it best. the most important part of this investigation right now is to find this little boy and that

is what montgomery county police are doing if full force this morning. his mother's alleged killer who was her estranged husband and this little boy's stepfather with his arrested yesterday and charged with first degree murder. but the 11-year-old boy, william mcqueen, was not with him when he was arrested. police described the boy as a biracial male, 85 pounds. he hasn't been seen in school since september 30th. exactly two weeks ago from today. it's been almost as long as anyone saw his mother, 51 -- mcqueen. her body was found in her germantown apartment wednesday night. there was obvious evidence of trauma to her upper body. she had likely been dead for 10 to 12 days. they also believe the man responsible, her estranged husband, 45-year-old curtis lopez. now he is in custody, it is all about finding his stepson. >> our priority, our focus,

right now, is to locate william mcqueen. we were hoping that we would find him with mr. lopez, and we did not. so we are asking for the public's help. >> reporter: let me tell you a bit more about the suspect. he was arrested at 9:30 yesterday morning while leaving a hotel in charlotte, north carolina. he is now being charged with first degree murder. he is behind bars this morning in north carolina. hopefully that will be the only murder charge he is face and go hopefully this little boy will be found safe and alive. andrea? >> that is definitely the hope. kristen fisher. there could be a showdown later today in new york city. the mayor says the occupy wall street protesters must leave the park so it can be cleaned. protesters say they won't go.

>> the protesters rally through the night also spent night cleaning up the park. they hope to postpone the scheduled cleaning which protesters say is just an excuse to evict them. they have been told to get out by 7:30 this morning. more arrests thursday for some of the protesters here in washington. seven people were taken into custody by capital police after disrupting a hearing. defense secretary leon panetta was testifying before the house armed services committee. a house committee voted 24- 3 to block a bill which would have allowed people with concealed weapons permits in other states to carry their guns in the district. it was part of a larger bill allowing people with concealed permits to carry weapons in states which don't issue those permits. keep an eye on your surroundings in the parking garage at the metro station.

time. no word on the status of chris cooley for this weekend's game. he was limited at practice thursday. the coach said he had to get his knee drained to relieve swelling. the washington caps are a perfect 9-0 to start their season. that includes a win last night over at their big rivals, the penguins. dc had a big lead but with less than four minutes left the penguins scored a power play goal and that knotted it up at 2 all. it stayed that way until halfway through overtime. dennis' wideman's power play goal, won it for washington. the caps beat the penguins 3-2. dc hosts ottawa tomorrow.

was killed, but police said she had been ten likely for 10 to 12 days. the investigation is now entirely focused on finding 11-year-old william mcqueen. back to you. thank you chris fischer live in rockville, maryland. today the family of 27-year-old ali mohammed will file a $15 million wrongful death suit against the owners of the dc 9 nightclub. he was believed to have thrown a brick through the window of the club after he was asked to leave. he was chased down and a struggle ensued and he died. charges were dropped after a medical examiner concluded mohammed had an underlying heart condition. >> he was dead. what did they do wrong? they killed him. >> reporter: once the suit is filed, the defense will have some time before they respond. the entire case could take several weeks is that a part of

virginia -- a part of virginia still cleaning up. a suspected tornado hit louisa county last night. it damaged an historic residence, ripping the roof off an historic house. the landmark home dates back to 1746. frank lehman says you can see the path of destruction. >> reporter: took two big oak trees, knocked the fence down. put the roof right there. >> reporter: fortunately, no one was hurt last night. engineers are repairing the damage at the national cathedral, caused by the august earthquake. crews removed two tons of stone work from one of the damaged pinnacles. a crane helped get the debris down from the 350-foot tall central tower. some of the stone work removed dates back to 963.

today president obama hits the road again the stump for his $450 billion jobs plan. >> the president of south korea will join president obama on his trip tie gm plant in michigan. susan mcginniss reports this comes as republicans are crafting a jobs bill of their own. >> just days after creating a new free trade act with south korea, president obama will show how he thinks it will help put americans to work. he will head to michigan today to tour a gm plant using south korean parts. thursday the president said the united states auto industry along with american farmers and manufacturers will benefit in particular from the new agreement. he also used it to prove compromise is confident it will happen on cap hill. >> we are willing to work with
