mike, especially west of town where we've got clear skies and temps in the 30s. east of town a different story. clouds and even some showers but the showers should be gone pretty quickly. here's the day planner, we're expecting sunshine in washington very soon maybe in the next few hours, partly to mostly sunny by 9:00 and stay that way through noon. 60 in a few spots today with a north wind at 5 to 10. right now mostly cloudy and 47 in washington. here's the big picture. had the showers yesterday afternoon. and the ohio valley. then low pressure developed off to the south and east and really got southeastern virginia. the delmarva pretty good. off to our south and east on live doppler 9000 hd we've been watching the showers and upper marlboro ming to the south and southwest. north beach down to plum point and coastal areas in calvert county and prince frederick probably a couple of sprinkles this as well. on the eastern shore you guys are seeing the sprinkles and the temperatures are warmer, even 51 at annapolis to mid 30s

in the valley and again going up to the upper 50s to around 60. monika? well, we're going to take a look at the beltway first which is doing fine. but just by the way, if you're planning to head inbound on i- 66 over at route 7100 i just got word of an accident on the left shoulder. into downtown overnight there had been a shooting in the georgetown area at 28th street and m street. we have a live picture of that. so if you're heading inbound into georgetown, watch out for the police activity. of course it's very light this morning and not causing any delays, just be aware that's going on in the area, 28th and m. back to the maps this time we're going to go to the other side of town. no problems on 95 right now. in fact a live look at the 14th street bridge basically heading right up the line from the river all the way to the 14th street bridge and into downtown. you will be okay with the exception of the one shot in georgetown. coming up we'll go into maryland at 5:10. back to you. herman cain is facing some

serious questions about his past campaign stops? washington this week. >> he is having to respond to reports of prior sexual harassment claims made against him. 9news now reporter surae chinn is live in front of cain's former workplace the national restaurant association in northwest washington. good morning surae. >> reporter: good morning to both of you. yes, the republican front runner denies any sexual harassment but according to politico.com, two women came forward saying that herman cain sexually harassed them here in washington, d.c.. >> we have no idea the source of this witch hunt. which is really what it is. we have no idea. >> reporter: herman cain doesn't remember the specifics allegations he says of sexual harassment that were made against him in the 1990s. the former pizza company executive is responding to a political report that said the trade group gave financial

we continue to hollow it. this morning, prince george's county police are investigating an accident that killed two people in upper marlboro. it happened in the 6600 block of wood yard road. three vehicles were involved in the crash and two remained in the middle of the road while the third was on grass near a telephone pole. rescuers found two people dead at the scene and took a third to the hospital with nonlife- threatening injuries. guilty of felony murder. that's the sentence for a drunk driver charged in a crash that killed a prince william nun last year. montano had two previous dui convictions before the august 2010 crash that killed sister jeanette mosier of bris toe and severely injured two other nuns. his lawyer says he may be appealing the murder conviction. d. c. police are investigating five halloween night shootings which injured six people. so far none of the victims has died. m street near the foggy bottom metro station and rushed to

george washington hospital. also in northwest washington two people were shot near georgia avenue around 9:30. we learned overnight the victims are an adult woman and a juvenile. both are expected to recover. a congressional committee has reached an interesting conclusions about former d. c. mayoral candidate sulaimon brown and his claims he made against mayor gray. they've decided there is no direct evidence the gray campaign ever promised brown a job for attacking other mayoral candidates, however, this is they say some indication he received some money from people with ties the gray. but the congressional investigators note that brown has quote a poor grasp of the facts. a federal grand jury is still investigating brown's claims however. 5:05. time for the latest your money report of the morning. >> jessica doyle is here with today's headlines. good morning jess. >> pretty ugly tuesday emerging for global markets. now we saw asian markets down some european markets are down. over 3% this morning.

northwestern calvert county as well. this stuff may flip into charles county. through baden, headed your way. also in calvert county we're talking about plum point and there's oxford east of us on the other side of the bay and this is moving down to southern st. mary's. temperatures where the clouds are thicker, they're in the mid and even upper 40s. baden's 47. andrews 46. but look west and northwest where we've cleared. it's in the 30s in haymarket and lovettsville at 34. sterling is 38. 37 in gaithersburg and here in washington, with mostly cloudy skies, we sit at 47 degrees. feels like 43 though with the north northwesterly wind at 9 miles per hour. two things on the weather map. the system in the northern plains this may bring us some showers on friday. and then the other system we're watching is this guy, coming just off the delmarva pulling away from us. once we get rid of this this morning, we'll be in fine shape today, tomorrow and probably

but with the clouds, we've got 40s to even 51 in annapolis. monika samtani. good morning. good morning. we've got couple of minor incidents around town but nothing too big to report especially on the beltway which is good news. first a look at 95 and the vw parkway from baltimore on the corridors you will be fine at the beltway as well as on route 29. no problems heading into silver spring. we'll take a live look at the beltway at connecticut avenue and again looking good here all lanes are open basically between 95 and 270. we'll go back over to the maps, this time it's 270 we're talking about. an accident just reported on the northbound side at falls road southbound right now the lanes are open. i'll keep you posted on that situation. again that unless just coming in. in the rock -- information just coming in. in the rockville area, very quiet here. same story on route 355 heading through rockville and down to the beltway. coming up i'll update you on area incidents. back to you guys.

thanks monika. parents kept a close watch on the trick-or-treaters in spotsylvania county, virginia. >> that's because police are investigating three attempted abductions there in recent weeks. so concerned parents either tagged along or followed closely behind their youngsters in the car. deputies also beefed up patrols in the area. the jury in the lululemon murder case is adjusting to very difficult testimony as the case heads into the second week. monday, prosecutors put three witnesses on the stand including an expert to explain blood splatter. it was found on the walls near jayna murray's body. brittany norwood is accused of killing murray. on the campaign trail, the good news is he's just become the front runner in the presidential race.

really hanging on to nothing. >> reporter: and thanks to a local philanthropist, the produce is free. >> fresh produce. daily. canned goods, the essentials, cereal. basically everything that you can get in a grocery store we try to have here. >> reporter: many come from local grocery stores, giant, safeway and shoppers food warehouse but many individuals also bring donations every day. in northeast washington, peggy fox, 9news now. >> and as peggy said some individual also contribute to the food pantry. jamie is an extreme couponner who puts her skills to work monday to help the acts food pantry in dumfries virginia. that just reopened thanks to generous donations after a run on supplies left its shelves bare. cur lieu says you can turn the coupons from sunday's paper into hundreds of dollars of free groceries to help others. >> i get the subscription to my door and i run to the grocery
