of the train as it entered the station. she died at the scene. police are urging parents and students to be extra cautious after another apparent abduction attempt. an eight-year-old girl told police four men and a man approached her and tried to get her into the van. the girl managed to get home safely. it is the fifth reported abduction attempt since mid october. americans don't like wall street, occupy wall street movements or the tea party. it is found that only 35% had a favorable opinion of the out -- of the occupy wall street opinion. only 16% of the people surveyed viewed wall street and large corporations positively. with that on their minds the presidential election is one year away and the gop

the scandal will impact cain's campaign. a poll friday had him still tied with mitt romney, but another on sunday shed a nine point drop in his favorability rating. >> he can't basically say i'm not going to answer any questions on this. as facts come forward, even though it is unconvention al, republicans want to win. >> reporter: cain will likely face more questions tonight. he will join six of his republican rivals in a lee hour town hall -- three hour town hall broadcast on the radio. and at 4:33, here's a look at other things making news now. a former penn state football coach is free on $100,000 bail. police arrested jerry sandusky over the weekend for allegedly sexually assaulting 18 underage boys over a 15 year period. two top university officials have been charged after failing to report an eyewitness acount of the abuse to authorities.

lawyers if all three men say they are innocent. andy rooney had a special give for specking for every man. rooney died friday night from complications after minor surgery. his death comes just one month after he retired from the show. and for 33 years, rooney concluded 60 minutes with his quirky and sometimes controversial essays. he was 92 years old. parts of oklahoma are recovering from a weekend earthquake. it shook homes and rattled nerves across the state. several buildings have been damaged. the epicenter was located 45 miles east of oklahoma city. >> the power went out more than a week ago. the state's largest utility company says tens of thousands are still without electricity. at the height of the storm more than 800,000 were in the dark

35 or younger. the disparity has the highlight of what a down economy is having on younger americans. mortgages worth more than the value of their homes and huge college debt are contributing. the deal to buy t-mobile usa may make until the middle of next quarter i don't to close. the deal has been held up as at&t fights antitrust regulators. the company hoped to complete it in year. in august the justice department filed a lawsuit to stop the deal, saying it could harm consumers by reducing competition and raising prices. this could be the year mobile shopping goes mainstream. 15% of consumers are expected to pay for purchases with their mobile devices this holiday season. that is compared to 4.5% last year. we all know that sexual

here are the weather headlines. nice and mild today. tomorrow and wednesday very few problems except for the morning fog. shower possible on thursday as the front comes through. that will give you a chilly friday. friday you may need jackets or even sweaters. back in the 60-degree range or better as we head in toward saturday and sunday. this coming weekend. that is good news again. clear skies, high pressure is in control. we have the fog, temperatures are down in the 30s and 40s, 32 in culpepper. we have visibility issues in leesburg and over toward bowie reporting a little bit of fog. into southern maryland. also to fredericksburg, 36 degrees with the fog. reagan national clear 44 no winds. the dew point is 42. so you don't have much of a spread. just a 2-degree spread. we are seeing the dew point, other areas where it is cold

enough. here's the jet stream taking a big dip in the southwest. you have cold and unsettled weather here. south of that across the type south pushing milder temperatures our way. through north texas and oklahoma and missouri see the showers and storms that are firing here this morning as they try to move off toward the north and the northeast. for us, with high pressure in control, we are kind of going to be twenty the system out west. this area of low pressure southwest of bermuda this may produce sprinkles, more likely fog to the east along coastal areas with any showers remaining well west of us through the day tuesday. lots of sunshine again tuesday afternoon, into wednesday as well. with i think the moisture here along the coast, that is really some morning fog as opposed to any real showers going on your high temperatures today, along the bay around 60. mid-60s off to the shenandoah valley.

petroleum's handling of the compensation fund for last year's gulf coast oil spill. others were protesting a pipeline that will run from six states from canada down to the gulf of mexico. the company behind the construction says it would create 20,000 jobs. protestors say it will pump greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. what the major oil companies are doing now is they are going after the more destructive, risky forms of oil. at the end of the day, we build a condition duty from ato become. the pipeline controversy puts president obama in a political bind and pits labor unions. finally federal relief is on the way. relief came after president obama declared parts of the state disaster areas.

residents may not get grants for temporary housing and home repairs, but loans have been made to cover uninsured property losses from the august 23rd earthquake. businesses also lineup for assistance. sexual harassment is an epidemic according to the findings conducted in the survey of american women. the survey found 8% of students in grades 7-12 experience some form of sexual harassment. 56% of the girls and 40% of the boys said they had experienced at least one incident of sexual harassment during the school year. harassers said they thought they were just being funny. half of those who were victimized never reported the incident. only 9% told a teacher, guidance counselor or other dumont at school. kids with asthma from a

single parent home are twice as likely to be remitted to the hospital. as mattics were tracked from one and two parent households and found kids from single parent homes were 50% more likely to return to the hospital 12 months with the initial visit. researchers say controlling asthma takes time, energy, money and resources. sometimes single parents find it difficult to manage all of that. kids with a severe egg allergy may now be able to safely get the flu shot. usually doctors play it safe providing the flu dose. researchers say they have tested a full shot in 61 patients with an allergy and they tolerated it well. coming up on 4:53. before we take a break, here's our first look at the question of the morning. what is the one thing 20% of women say they will never get rid of?

congresswoman gabrielle giffords will soon be on store shelves. >> a winner of the reality show survivor is battling cancer again. ethan sawn is starting a new round of cancer treatments after 20 months in remission. he was diagnosed with hodgkins him foam at that in 2009 and kept a video diary of his treatment. he won survivor africa ten years ago and competed in the amazing race with his girlfriend this year. visitors are coming face-to-face with a huge spider. the spider will be on the auction block at christies tuesday. it is expected to sell for 4 to $6 million. congresswoman gabrielle giffords is vowing to return to
