billion, or been so controversial. >> we are proud of what we accomplished. >> first conceived in the 1960s, connects i-270 to i-59 in prince georges county. saving up to a half hour on a run from gaithersburg to bwi airport. the icc was killed by one governor, glenn denning in 1999, and revived by another governor in 2005. one huge concern, the environment. >> studies predict air pollution from traffic and water pollution from runoff. 1/3 of the cost has been spent on mitigating the damage. the other concern, financing. with some projecting maryland's ability to build major projects far, has been hobbled due to the debt incured to build the icc. the icc is maryland's first all cash, fully electronic toll road. you'll need an easy pass or similar device and it will cost you $4 to travel the highway's 16 miles one way during peek

rapist. we are learning that prosecutors have decided to extradite aaron thomas to connecticut. he pled guilty earlier back to a 2007 rape. authorities say dna shows he is responsible for rape and other attacks on 17 women from virginia to connecticut. we want to update you on the investigation into another flash robbery in montgomery county. police continue to search for suspects in the saturday night robbery at a 7-eleven. this is some of the video. starts with just a few people, but then that crowd quickly grows to more than 50. and many of them can be seen taking the snacks and drinks and then simply walking out without paying. a few of the teens were stopped by police nearby. none of them were arrested, but police did collect their information. this robbery, you may recall, is similar to one in montgomery county that made national headlines back in august. coming up, a one woman crime spree.

because that's where i think i'll make up the time. >> that's typical for 270 at this point. let's get a check on the beltway route that delia is taking. where are you? >> so far, so good. we're on georgetown road. we are about to make a left on to the beltway. so despite the rain, traffic has been moving pretty smoothly. you can see i'm pulling up and about to take a left turn on to 495 east. so far, so good. >> we'll have to check in with you once you get on to the beltway. we did hear about an accident, so we are wondering how things are going to look once you get on the beltway. we'll be checking in. stay safe in the rain. >> thanks. >> see you in 15 minutes. >> all right, to other news. student protesters at the university of california davis have rebuilt their encampment. they pitched tents on the very site where police pepper sprayed demonstrators last week. it's more than double its original size despite university rules banning those

tents. >> the occupy camp is back at the university of california davis. >> you want to double check the tent? >> kim and about 100 other students spent the night in 83 tents. the same spot where police pepper sprayed demonstrators last week. she wants the school's chancellor to step down. >> i came here just to show the administration that we're not backing down and that we are a community that needs to be taken seriously. >> on monday, over a thousand students and faculty members rallied. venting their frustration over how campus police handled the protest. officer officers pepper sprayed. now the campus more than doubled its original size. there's a food station, recycling in the back. and there's even a medical tent. >> 19-year-old prelaw student, shannon carter runs the first

aid station. the hike in tuition could leave her with $20,000 in debt. >> if i'm in debt coming out of a four year university, then i won't be able to pay for law school. >> she is leaving her opportunity for french class. but says she'll be back. >> a lot of people in the administration are just as stubborn as we are. hopefully we'll be able to hold out. >> the university has apologized for how police responded and says it is trying to balance security with a student's right to protest. cbs news, davis, california. >> two police officers were placed on administrative leave after friday's incident. the university says it is monitoring the new occupy site on campus and not decided what action it will take. check out this scene after a lawmaker released tear gas inside the south koreaen parliament. it happened just after a vote in which the parliament approved a free trade agreement with the u.s. the situation became so heated that scuffles

a 26-year-old woman who was apparently a former ms13 gang member is wanted in two violent crimes. a bank robbery and a carjacking. peggy fox is here with me now. and apparently the woman may have struck again. >> derek, i just got off the phone with police and they are writing up a notice now. they do believe that she is responsible for a third incident. a bank robbery in springfield on old keymill road. two other crimes, a bank robbery and carjacking. >> police say stephanie is from manassas, but has no fixed address. they say the 26-year-old with long, blond hair, green eyes, and a tattoo on her neck robbed this virginia commerce bank in manassas friday morning. the bank surveillance pictures show her wearing a dark hoody. the next day on saturday

afternoon, here in the parking lot of the neimann marcus, she pretended to be out of gas and convinced a 59-year-old woman to give her a ride. >> victim in this particular case was not injured. however, she was extremely upset and very distraught. >> as the woman drove down the road, police say she pulled out a knife and told the woman to get out. she drove off in the woman's 2003 silver acura with virginia tags xek8095. she may still be driving it. stephanie schwab is no stranger to criminal police. felony charges, such as grand larceny and shoplifting. schwab's name, age, and hometown match that of a former member of the violent gang ms13. who testified against four gang members charged with murder in 2005. >> this individual could be dangerous.

i'm waiting online. the sign says i'm a quarter mile away, because i had to come north on 270 jog across county and man there's a lot of traffic. right now, i'm doing ten miles an hour and i'm just now hitting 270 get on to the icc. so, it is mighty popular. a lot of people trying to get on this highway. i'll let you know how crowded it is. >> all right. so we all thought delia might have the tougher time getting to bwi, but how are things going for you? >> you know, we're making headway. not so bad considering the weather that we're dealing with and this is rush hour. we have been traveling at about, consistently 15 to 20 miles an hour. there have been some slowdowns and we speed up occasionally. but you can see the sign we're approaching georgia avenue and silver spring. we have been on the beltway for a good 20 minutes or so.

all the moderate activity is up toward baltimore. testimonies are mild and they are going to go up tonight. 55 in bethesda. 56 in springfield. 57 downtown. so here's the deal. more rain on the way. rain and thunderstorms tonight. breezy and milder over night. morning rain tomorrow. very windy. and we get a break and then afternoon showers roll in and turning colder late in the day. all right, next seven days. we are in fantastic shape on thanksgiving. sunshine and 57. and look at the temperatures. in the 60s friday, saturday, sunday. some clouds come in sunday, but it stays dry and more showers and thunderstorms. more showers as we get into monday and a better chance for showers and perhaps a thunderstorm on tuesday. temperatures go back into the low 50s on tuesday. but wow, what a weekend. >> that's looking good. >> there have been a few bright spots for the maryland football team this season. >> kristen is here with a story of a young man forging his path on the gridiron and

you may know living social for the daily deals they sell. all those offers for restaurants or massages or vacations take a lot of people to pull off. the d.c. based company is growing by leaps and bounds and as jessica doyle reports, so is their work force. >> if you need a job, living social is a pretty good place to look. at the start of 2011, the daily deals company had 600 blows worldwide. now, they are at about 4500 strong. a 750% growth rate. jennifer trespass is hiring at furious rate in d.c. >> we have 60 open positions. >> they range all over the place. from our products, our design, engineering, and sales. >> with 700 jobs currently available around the world, living social has taken an

unconventional approach. it will hire 2 to 4 supersessions in a week. >> we average 40 people that come in on a super session. >> candidates interview all day and must show they fit in with living social's creative culture. >> living social invests a lot. hence this ball pit that they lose for horsing around or even company meetings. >> the ball pit comes up as a trick interview question. >> you were asked to fill the ball pit, what were the top three things you would do to get that going? we are looking for people that are going to be like what? why do we have a ball pit? >> company perks are reminiscent of silicon valley. >> massages, and then of course there's always the happy hours. and our ball pit. >> petty cab take employees from living social's five d.c. offices, but j.t. thinks one of the biggest employee payoff is less tangible. >> living social has been growing at a red hot pace.
