regulating actions. thomas if he does show up, could be a distraction. >> this after fbi and irs agent served a search warrant at thomas' home friday. it is part of their investigation into allegations the councilman converted $300,000 from a youth program to his personal use. the agents hauled off two vehicles and bags of records and personal items, including the councilman's personal cell phones. thomas agreed to repay the $300,000 but denies any wrongdoing. this week virginia tech university is going to ask a judge to waive a fine the school got because of the -- 2007 shootings. federal officials say the delay violated a federal law of timely warnings when there are safety threats on campuses. the university said it took

say dense fog south and east of town. annapolis going up to the airport near baltimore, those are really low as well. but it is calvert and st. mary's the dense fog advisory along the eastern shore. you'll see especially east of town. quarter mile in annapolis, prince frederick dense fog there. cambridge over to salisbury, fredericksburg's okay but south, this is where you are going to run into some of those problems. so the bus stop forecast this morning it is mostly cloudy with patchy fog. especially east and southeast. as far as the day planner. 45 at 8:00. winds out of the south today. that is a mild breeze for us. by noon we are back in the mid-50s. yesterday 55 by comparison. this afternoon close to 60, a

montgomery county and prince georges county. it runs east of interstate 95 in laurel. the remake one mile of the six lane highway. still left to be completed. expected to be finish in 2014. a female military veteran. when you hear that you usually don't think homeless. but reports say there are an estimated 13,000 women in uniform with no fixed addresses. a few of those women received a helpful hand during a ribbon cutting ceremony. lindsey mathis shows us the place these women can now call home. >> reporter: this is the house jessica foreman now calls home. the iraqi war veteran found herself homeless after she left the military and completed school. >> just because you go to school for something there is not

necessarily guaranteed you would be employed. >> reporter: in the pantry there is plenty of food and it feels like a luxury to army vet mona various son. she said in the military she was raped by a fellow soldier. here she could get help with posttraumatic stress disorder. for her, this private bedroom with a large walk in closet is a great start. >> reporter: there are six bedrooms in this house and some of them still need to be filled. the ones down here in the basement are many for women with children, because there is plenty of space for them to play. >> reporter: that is good news for sandra strickland. the iraqi war vet has two kids. >> two days before christmas last year i was involved in a domestic violence situation and i fled the home with my children. >> reporter: she says it has been a long road but being here reminds her of the military she has missed. >> it is a support system.
