grand jury he saw and heard sandusky raping a young boy in a locker room shower. but in 2002 mcqueary may have told a family friend all he saw was a young boy's arm pulled back and then sandusky walking out in a towel. >> i can't imagine him having any reason to make up what he saw. >> reporter: despite ten different victims, alleged victims, now coming forward, jerry sandusky's lawyer said today that he is not, is not, talking to prosecutors about a possible plea bargain. back to you all in washington. thanks bruce. turning now to what was an emotional day at virginia tech. family, friends and faculty and students all gathered to say farewell to campus police officer derek krause. officer krause was shot and killed last week in the coliseum parking lot.

annie hong joins us with more. >> reporter: the married father of five is being remembered for his bravery and service, which led to the ultimate sacrifice, his life. >> the last four years he went to work here protecting the citizens of the state and the students and faculty. >> reporter: hundreds gathered on the virginia tech campus today for the funeral of the 39-year-old officer krause. a big contingent of law enforcement officials honored a fallen brother killed in the line of duty thursday. virginia governor bob mcdonald spoke about his commitment to being a life long public servant. >> we are here this afternoon to be able to grieve with you. >> reporter: a traffic stop last thursday was happening when a

22-year-old student walked up to his cruise and shot him. the shooter is 22-year-old ross ashley. he killed himself soon after. the colleagues spoke of his love of the pittsburgh steelers. >> all the men and women you see here today in uniform will continue to serve. to sacrifice. and the families of the officers will continue to sacrifice right alongside them. for us, it is who we are, it is what we do. >> reporter: krause who was an iraq veteran is survived by his wife, along with his five children and stepchildren. police are still looking for the motive in nurse's shooting. meanwhile the family released a statement offering their condolences to the krause family and saying they are in their prayers. back to you. we have breaking news. there are major delays on route 50 tonight because a serious

crash involving two vehicles. one of them a cement truck. this happened about an hour ago. two people were rescued after being trapped in their vehicle. we don't know how serious their injuries are tonight but route 50 is close in both directionss and it could be sometime before the road reopens. we have a follow-up story. a local woman whose car was booted, towed and sold at auction while she was in the hospital in a coma. the department of public works justified its actions by saying she had three unpaid tickets. but monique jenkins insists there was only one unpaid parking ticket. andrea mccarron joins us with more. >> reporter: in july, you will recall dpw, told us it had sold the car. if that was the case, why is

monique jenkins accruing storage fees from the impound lot? as of today, according to the dmv, she owes more than $4900 and the number keeps growing we met monique jenkins in july when she had just been released from the hospital. while she fought for her life in a 12-day coma her car parked right in front of her washington home was booted, towed away, put on the auction block and sold. >> i started crying and i said how can this happen? it has to be some law to protect you while you are in the hospital. >> the department of public works says jenkins had three unpaid tickets. enough to justify to go and selling it. jenkins insists she only knew of one and she simply had forgotten to pay it. >> they never contacted me by phone. i didn't get anything in the

a reassuring health alert for adults who take medication for a add. the medications are safe for the heart. a study coming out in the journal of the american medical association this week looked at adults aged 45-65. those taking adhd medications were no more likely to have heart attacks or strokes. research at emory university found children with autism blink far more rapidly than other kids when watching emotional scenes play out. blinking slows down when we are paying close attention and the autistic kids were far more drawn to objects in motion. why does this matter? knowing what makes an impression

fairfax county man. he was last seen near the 1800 block of international drive. now police believe he may have met with foul play. peggy fox joins us live from springfield with more on why investigators are calling his disappearance suspicious now. >> reporter: police are now collected and analyzed hours of surveillance video. conducted numerous videos and please standby for a realtime translation. carlos os scar montano did not just -- oscar montano did not just walk away from his life and family. >> reporter: this family, their cousin and nephew is missing, and they fear the worst. now so do police. 28-year-old oscar montano mysteriously disappeared five months ago. >> they have uncovered details pointing toward suspicious activity now. we haven't located oscar.

he's been gone five months. they consider it an involuntary disappearance. he was working at an indoor construction job in the tyson's corner area that houses the capital grill on the corner of route 7 and intnational drive. it involved tearing down offices. >> reporter: oscar lived here in springfield with his aunt and uncle. his uncle tells me oscar worked for donahoe construction and that every night after a busy day at work, he never failed to come home. so when he didn't show up july 9th, they knew something was wrong. his friends, both here and in his native bolivia, put up this facebook page. they believe someone knows where he is and what happened to him. three search warrants were taken out. one, we are told, involved where oscar was working. >> if anybody knows about a crime involved in this, call crime stoppers and remain anonymous. we definitely believe there are suspicious circumstances and that crime could be involved.

caught on tape. a robber comes face-to-face with a wrong employee. the suspect in a series of pizza shop robberies walked in and confronts the worker behind the counter. the guy walks through the ropes, pulls out a fake gun, points it at me, demands money. i told him i don't think so. he pulls it back out, points it again, give me the money. no, i reached over and pushed button a few times. he turns around and runs out. i chase him out, get his license plate number, come back in and call the cops. >> 30 minutes later the robber hit another subway store, probably with the same toy gun. but this time undercover officers were waiting and placed him under arrest. they are trying to determine whether the same man is behind all 28 robberies. also in washington state, a tech savvy couple is hoping to find a thief who stole a delivery off their front porch and they caught the whole thing

intellectual and physical disabilities, including wounded warrior veterans. 28-year-old megan greenwood served four years in the air force as a medic. when she returned from iraq, she suffered from posttraumatic stress. >> i am considered a disabled vet. because of pt s ddepression and migraines as well. and they do hinder me from working sometimes. >> reporter: lyndon is also strongly committed to employment needs of students. they work with local school systems, the virginia department of rehabilitation services, and local community service boards. >> it is absolutely satisfying to see someone come in with a low sense of self esteem. or a low self-confidence to be able to gain some skills in any of our many lines of business and have an opportunitying to
