spring from 95. as you can see, actually volumes are pretty light through the silver springs area and same story as you head through bethesda. back over to the maps, this time all the way over to southern maryland, incident free on route 5, route 4. andrew air force base and all the way down the line. we'll take a live look at branch avenue on the inner and outer looks of the beltway. basically between 95 and the wilson bridge. in my next report we'll look into virginia. back to you, jessica and andrea. thank you monika. happening today a sad ending to the search if a missing activist. investigators are now investigating a homicide. prince george's county police confirm the body pulled from a well is that of lenwood lenny harris of alexandria virginia. harris was last seen in september leaving the recreation center in old town. thursday an autopsy revealed harris was killed in september.

police released surveillance pictures of someone using harris' credit card at an atm in prince george's county just hours after he disappeared. harris' car was found in october in prince george's county. he was president of the operation hope, a community-based nonprofit. the identity of the fourth victim in a deadly crash on route 50 has been released. his name was terry wayne davis. this crash also killed three teenagers who were driving the wrong way on the street. davis was the driver of the car headed in the right direction. he died on his way to the hospital. the crash happened saturday morning. it is not known whether alcohol or speed were factors. a silver spring man has a court appearance this morning to face murder charges. montgomery county police say 68-year-old henry hutch-ins killed his wife. 62-year-old carol carter. police would only say carter had

suffered trauma to the upper body. hutch-ins himself called to report his wife was dead, and was taken into custody for questioning. he is being held without bond. a bond review hearing is scheduled later today. time running out for occupy protesters at mcpherson square in freedom plaza. >> in just under six hours, u.s. park police will begin enforcing a no camping rule. delia is live at mcpherson square. does it look like they are ready to get moving? >> reporter: no, it appears they are pretty comfortable so far take a look. just as many tents and tarps as we have seen for the past several months here. despite the chilly temperatures, folks haven't broken downey of these tents. we know by noon they will have to move them out here. we talked to folks who actually are looking forward to the deadline. the only difference we have seen so far is an increased police

presence, patrolling the grounds here around the park. today's deadline comes after several complaints by dc's mayor and health director about rats and other health concerns. it wasn't until congress got involved that the park service said it will take action. admitting he has been ignoring the ban, the park director said he would enforce it today. at a hearing last week it said it will finally move to end then campment. >> what we are doing is lawful and not violent and a demonstration. the park service has a mandate to enforce and to keep the peace. i can't they said we can't sleep.

another meet try to get sleep in during the day. you see these signs here, they have been posted throughout you know the whole three or four months that the folks have been here, they have been main stays. help us keep our park clean and on that list, camping prohibited. so a lot of folks said hey, obviously these prohibitions are posted here, why are the folks still camping? today is d-day. they will be moving out as of noon. coming up in my next live report, i'll let you know what the next step for the movement will be after noon today. back to you, andrea? jess? tomorrow is the florida primary and an nbc poll has good news of mitt romney. 42% of likely voters support him. newt gingrich has 27%. that has analysts looking ahead to a possible match up between romney and president obama. a gallup swing state poll shows

the two are virtually in a dead heat with romney garnering 48% of the vote and president obama has 47%. if gingrich won the nomination president obama would get 54% while gingrich would get 40%. the survey was taken in florida, highway highway and pennsylvania. it seems to be a two man race in florida. this may come as no surprise to you. romney and gingrich are taking jabs at each other as they campaign for those last minute votes. governor romney called his son up to rally the crowd in spanish. romney is targeting the hispanic community in hopes of extending his double digit lead in the polls. while gingrich is upping the antein hopes of extending his -- the ante, in hopes of extending his numbers. >> not going to nominate

somebody proabortion, progun control, protax increase liberal. >> reporter: gingrich is blaming romney's negative campaigning for his drop in the poll but the former massachusetts governor says gingrich's own record is to blame. >> it is one of the reason the housing market is in such trouble from florida. >> many in florida haven't recovered from the collapse of the housing market. rick santorum skipped a number of campaign events in florida, after his daughter, three-year-old bella, was hospitalized with pneumonia. santorum told supporters he hopes she can go home in the next few days. the child has a genetic condition, santorum says bella is awake, alert and back to being a beautiful, happy girl. the time right now 6:07, and i am watching your money. the stock market has had an impressive january. the dow was up about 4% and the nasdaq is up even better. up 7% for the month.

experts think it is going to be a pretty good year for tech stocks. the reason why, companies have been putting off replacing worn out technology during the recession. checking the numbers, the dow stands this morning at 12660, dropped 74 points in trading on friday. members of congress are cracking down on themselves, hoping to regain some of the public trusts. they are planning tougher penalties for insider trading. a vote today can clear the way for another new requirement that they disclosed their stock transactions after 30 days. the bill proprohibit members of congress from using nonpublic information for their own benefit or from tipping off others from inside information. last november a report on cbs's 60 minutes raised questions about trade about house speaker

john boehner. they denied any wrongdoing. a website called mega upload is finding itself in the crossroads of federal prosecutors and as many as 50 million users could see their data deleted by thursday. the service has already been blocked. prosecutors say it was used to download millions of illegal movies, music and other material. seven people are facing charges. mega up load is working with prosecutors to keep the data from being erased. whether it comes to telling a fib, people may be more likely to do it when they text. researchers from wichita state university and the university of british columbia and canada found it is easier for people to lie in a text message than when they communicate through video or in person. talking through video can make people feel as though they are being more closely watched. the study can be found in the journal of business ethics. my daughter is learning how

the blood of eye la reynolds was found early in the investigation. she disappeared from her father's watererville, maine home six weeks ago. her father said she wasn't in her bed when he checked december 17th. a website run by the girl's mother said they are more than determined to find out what happened to eye la. it is being called the worst case of abuse they have ever seen. a young girl is dead after her mother's 22-year-old boy beat her to death in st. louis, missouri. three-year-old maya kato died after being found not breathing in her apartment. at least ten people were killed in an -- and 18 others injured in a pile up on i-75 in gainsville, florida. the crash happened sunday morning on both sides of the interstate. police say the florida highway was so shrouded in haze and

it is minus 55 in fort yukon. the good news for us is none of that really super cold seems like it is going to want to come down toward the lower 48. see the storms coming onshore and moving across the country west to east. for us we'll see a warming trend after today big time. 60s are on the way. today mid-40s. tonight we are dropping into the 30s. but tomorrow and wednesday these readings 63. 65 wednesday though could be a couple of showers in the afternoon. we'll take those showers into thursday, groundhog day 56 degrees. friday 52. saturday and sunday a chance for a couple of showers. we'll see exactly how that storm system develops. we go over to monika santini with timesaver traffic. temperatures are hard to believe in the next couple of days.

categories at the screen actors guild awards. the help won for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture. the movie went up against top hitters, violative davis won outstanding performance by a female actor. and beating out meryl streep in the iron lady and michelle williams. davis said she decided to become an actress at the age of eight and says she was inspired by cicely tyson. it was a big night for okay daveia spencer, also in the help. she won outstanding performance by a female actor. spencer says this role meant a lot to her. >> i have to say that it was

chester grove terrace. kendra was on her way to school on january 25g. if you have any information call the prince george's county police department at 301-390-2600. u.s. park police expected to start cracking down on occupy dc protesters who set up camp. beginning at noon protesters in mcpherson square and freedom plaza will absolute rested if they violate the camping rules. delia has more. >> reporter: a lot of folks have had notice so this comes as no surprise all weekend long. police were here in the park and over at freedom plaza, posting flyers and signs to let folks know about today's deadline. there has been no movement to breakdown any tents or tarps in the area. the deadline comes after several official complaints by dc's

mayor and health director about rats and other violations. now congress has moved in for the national park service to enforce the longstanding ban on camping. some occupiers say this is not the end of the movement, however. they will stage sleep strikes or some say they will simply sleep elsewhere during the day so they can maintain a presence here at the park at night. >> what's going on right now is just a continuation of you know, this is just to let you know what is going to come in the spring and summer. frankly we are not going away. look at all these people. >> this is a new chapter. this is where we separate the boys from the men and the girls from the women. so i'm ready and a lot of folks are anticipating a peaceful transition and our hoping for one when police do come in at noon. hoping for a peaceful transition on both ends. police side and protesters side. this comes one day after there was a bit of app altercation yesterday here at mcpherson.

one occupier was tased by police. they were here trying to pass out those flyers i had mentioned. he got unruly and did not obey commands so they did tase him. dc police are hoping to hear from the people who called 911 following a deadly crash sunday morning. officers were investigating reports of gunfire on otis street northwest. they spotted a burgundy minivan and pursued it. when the suspect vehicle crested the hill, he began to lose control. he hit a tree. but the same minivan didn't stop after striking the three. all three people inside were then out. two young men died and a 17-year-old suffered life threatening injuries. the van stopped when it rolled over the front of a police cruiser. the two officers inside were

treated at the hospital but are recovering from their injuries. the time right now is 6:36 and i am watching your money. if you are hoping to make more of that money this year, you are in luck. many hiring managers may be more willing to negotiate your salary. joined right now with josh howard. >> thanks for coming in this morning. interesting study you guys have out that may show more flexibility. >> absolutely we did a survey of cfos and found 38% are more willing to negotiate salaries this year than they were last year. that is excellent news for a lot of people who want to make money, which would be most of us if not all of us. what can we do to better prepare for salary negotiations when the time comes for that? >> well the ski is know what your salary ranges are for your fedex in your marketplace. there is a -- are for your

salary range in your marketplace. it is knowing your value to the organization and what your role and how you performed it. let's say you figure out what you are worth. you go to negotiations, but you don't get what you want. what can you do at that. -- at that point? >> try to negotiate for other benefits. some folks find success negotiating to increased vacation time. the opportunity to have flexible work schedules or work remotely two days a week. or look at setting up a time down the road for your salary to be increased. based upon you with any given time frame. you have a job that is available right now that you are going to tell us about? >> correct. we are working with a large worldwide nonprofit in the dc area looking for a director of financial report and go control. somebody to come in and help with executing the annual
