6:01 am
route 50 slow past route 123 again with lanes open. the flashing lights causing is distraction. on the inbound side of i-66 again that earlier accident at nutley street cleared and there's another one just past route 123 causing that long big backup and of course we'll keep you posted on that situation with sky 9. also outside live if you're planning to head on to the northbound side of i-95. that's been incident-free coming up through springfield and newington and lorton all of the corridors look fine on 95. on to 395 a live look there as well here at duke street where traffic still moving well to the 14th street bridge. more on the 66 situation at 6:12. back to you. thank you monika. at the top of the hour we're watching your money. the white house formally announced a deal between 49 states, the district and five major lendors. it's a $25 billion settlement over the foreclosure mess. >> no action, no matter how
6:02 am
meaningful is going toby itself entirely heal the housing market. but this settlement is a start. and we're going to make sure that the banks live up to their end of the bargain. if they don't, we've set up an independent inspector, a monitor, that has the power to make sure they pay exactly what they've agreed to pay plus a penalty. if they fail to act in accordance with this agreement. >> the deal involves allied financial, bank of america, citibank, jp morgan chase and wells fargo. there are a lot of you homeowners asking so what does this mean for me? and jessica is sheer. >> we'll tell you right now this is going to impact about two million victims of the housing crisis. this is the largest settlement ever involving the states and the federal government teaming up. but a lot of homeowners will be left on the sidelines, here's what folks need to know. help is going to come in three forms. now you can be eligible for a check worth up to $2,000 with
