northwest was raided by dc police. the owner, shown here, richard kim, was charged with selling alcohol to a 17-year-old arlington high school student who was using someone else's identification. >> you would have to be crazy not to see someone before you who is underage. >> reporter: because of a news series about the store and market the store had allegedly become a place where underage high school students could buy booze with little scrutiny of the ids they were using. kim denied these allegations during the original 9news now piece. mr. kim? >> not here. >> reporter: sunday family members said kim wasn't home whether we tried to get his explanation about last night's arrest. the store will be back in business monday and liquor will continue to be on sale.

>> i'll tell you, once the sting operation gets you, if you continue, you continue at your own peril. because they are back and they don't stop. >> reporter: the town area market brought convenience to the neighborhood through the sale of wine, beer and other items. but an investigation revealed it was too convenient for minors to buy liquor here. the store will lose its liquor license. montgomery count thank you police have been watching town scare market as well. -- square market as well. we are learning more about the body pulled from the canal in georgetown over the weekend. it is the body of an elderly woman. she had a hospital band on her wrist, it was dated friday, the same day people reported seeing someone in the canal behind fletcher's boat house.

an initial search turned up nothing. police have found no signs of foul play. the body is at the dc medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death. rescuers in holland, maryland, found one person inside a car in the water and the vehicle nearly submerged. a male victim was pulled out alive. he was transported by ambulance to st. mary's hospital. his name and condition have not been released. no word on how the car ended up in the water. you can check out more pictures of the incident at wusa 9.com. two people are recovering from minor injuries, thankfully, after a house fire in temple hills, maryland. heavy flames shot out of a duplex around 89:00 last night. the fire was put out, no word yet on the cause of the fire no foam mer prince george's executive zach johnson reported

susan mcginniss has the latest on the race for the republican nomination. >> reporter: campaigning at a church in georgia, rick santorum attacked president obama's decision to give women employed by some religious institutions free access to contraceptives. >> it is imposing his ideology on a group of people. >> reporter: santorum is focusing on the president as he looks to a possible november face off. in ohio this weekend he said the president's environmental views are hurting americans. >> it is not about you. it is not about your quality of life. it is about some phony ideal. some phony theology. >> reporter: the obama campaign came out swinging sunday, saying santorum's attack was an attack on the president's faith. >> i can't help but think those remarks are well over the line.

>> he didn't want to make a mess. he opened the door and we went around the turn and he fell out. and he like fell on the ground and a car hit him. we stopped as fast as possible and we just tried to help him out and he was trying to get hundred and i -- to get up and i car ran -- a car ran him over. it keeps playing over. every time you close your eyes, it is just there. >> friends and parents at heartsville middle school, the students put up a makeshift memorial there, near the spot where the boy died. at avalanche in washington state killed three skiers over the weekend. a fourth person was swept off a cliff eas danielle nottingham reports there are concerns that more could follow. >> it looks like a winter wonderland. but this picture effect mountain in washington state was the scene of a deadly avalanche.

the king county sheriff's office got word of the slide sunday. it happened near the stephens pass skiing area. >> four of the skiers were shot down a chute for about 1500 feet. three were buried under the snow. >> reporter: one woman was using an avalanche rescue system similar to the air bag like the one seen in this video. >> it kept her atop of the avalanche and saved her life. >> reporter: authorities say several groups were skiing in an out of bounds area on the back side of the mountain. most were able to free themselves from the snow. the area had received 21 inches of snowfall the night before. >> you are skiing, it is at your own risk. i have been told by numerous people they were all very experienced skiers, they knew what they were doing, the choices that they were making. >> reporter: the staff at stephens pass said news of the fatalities hit hard. >> it is very hard on the

will include more than 50 artists from cirque du soleil and kodak's name may not be on the marquis. the eastman kodak company has are received court approval it end its sponsorship deal with the theater. the company filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy last month. the bottom line at the box office is improving. theater attendance fell to a 16-year low in 2011, but ticket rises are up this year, rising more than 14%. good movies are the reason for the increase. fans flocked to theaters for hits like the vow and the woman in black. one of 2011's hits is coming out on dvd.
