system. new at 11, rush limb because's bizarre rant suggesting a local law student post sex videos of herself online. but first, we begin with some late breaking news out of d.c. two men shot in southeast. this happened just about 45 minutes ago and police are still trying to piece together exactly what happened. >> but investigators do tell us they found one victim in the 5,000 block of benning road and the early word is he may have been inside a carryout store. another man was found out in the street around the corner on h street. no word on their condition but homicide detectives have been called to the scene. we've got a crew headed there as well. we'll bring you an update when we find out more. radio host rush limbaugh called a local catholic student a slut, and he said he wants her to post sex videos online if she uses publicly funded contraception. >> this all fall out from the recent debate over contraceptive coverage mandates set tonight put the georgetown

law student in the name calling spotlight. gary nurenberg is here with that. >> reporter: georgetown is a catholic school that doesn't want to be forced for religious reasons to provide a contraceptive plan for students. a student told a congressional committee there is a cost for that policy, prompting the name calling. >> it's not all about sex, that some students need contraceptives for existing medical conditions, but added-- >> without insurance coverage, contraception as you know can cost a woman over $3000 during law school. >> almost imbaugh characterized it this way. >> essentially says she must be paid to have sex. what does that make it? it's a slut, a prostitute, she's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception she wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex. what does that make us? we're the pimps. >> democrats came to the

in silver springs tonight. sky 9 over the scene and this is the ymca in the 9800 block of hastings drive. life guards say she wasn't breathing when they pulled her from the water and emergency crews took that victim to the hospital. we understand she's in serious condition. what we don't exactly know is if this victim was swimming in the indoor or outdoor pool at this ymca. well for many gay people in maryland, today was a red letter day. one of those days you will remember as the victorious end to a long fought battle for equality. >> but for those who object to gay marriage the battle has just begun. matt jablow has been covering this controversial story all day and is back with both sides of what is truly an emotional issue. matt? >> reporter: anita depending on your perspective either marks the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning of the gay marriage debate in maryland but one thing is for certain it is far from over. >> the way forward is always found through greater respect for the equal rights of all.

yet because as we just heard, both we have referendums on the issue come november. five other states allow civil unions, and then there's california where the state of proposition 8 is still in limbo. that ballot measure eliminates the rights of same sex couples to merry and could end up before the supreme court. it takes guts to confront the convicted rapist who violated your heart, your mind, your sole and yes, your body, but today, four courageous women did just that. in a montgomery county courtroom they looked timothy buzzbee right in the eye, the man who attacked them years ago and what they said they later shared with us off camera. >> i'm the 18-year-old life guard that you raped. >> that guy doesn't define me. he didn't and he doesn't. >> well buzzbee was already serving two life sentences after admitting he raped machine than a dozen women in maryland back in 70s but he was eligible for parole when new dna tests on some old evidence tied him to five more attacks.

well today, a judge sentenced buzzbee to three more life sentences and that judge looked buzzbee in the eye as well and told him he's an evil man who should spend the rest of his days behind bars. tonight reaction to a story you saw first only on 9. last night we told you about the violent descriptions being used to teach math at the center city public charter school in northeast. well tonight, the third grade teacher who handed out that homework is out of a job. that assignment dealt with some morbid and horrific topics like death, terrorism, even putting people in ovens. well the ceo of the center city public charter school says instead of using the resources provided that teacher downloaded them off the home schooling paradise website. >> it doesn't follow anything that we do. we are about character, access and service and i found them to be violent and racist. >> the teacher claims she was told to give the students that assignment but the school says that wasn't the case and even if it was, it's an order the

teachers should have known better to obey. >> she's a public official. >> but she's not seeing anyone today. >> so are we seeing a pattern here? there are now questions about karen toll. the prince georges county council member for under scrutiny for allegedly speeding more than 100 miles an hour on the beltway. police are investigating whether officers gave hurricane rita special treatment for that high speed incident last week and now we've learned she might have received nothing more than a warning last summer as well. police were conducting radar speed enforcement on route 4 near upper marlboro. sources tell us the team spotted her approaching at an extremely high speed before she slammed on the brakes and pulled over. she told officers her car was having mechanical trouble. we're told police did not ticket toll then because they never got a solid speed reading on radar. we have a 9 news now update on a bike accident in d.c. this happened earlier in the week at 11th and u-street northwest, a

truck hit the bicyclist and dragged him for some 30 feet, but police now tell us it was the cyclist who was at fault. he's been cited for failing to yield, for running a red light and for not wearing a safety helmet. well now to ohio where a 17 year old is charged with three juvenile counts of aggravated murder and that school shooting that killed three of his fellow students and wounded two others. tj lane is acused of opening fire monday in the school cafateria at chardon high kill three students. the funeral services for those victims are set for saturday, monday and tuesday and the coach who witnesses say put his own body directly in the line of fire and drove lane out of that cafateria spoke out for the first time today. >> i don't know why this happened. i only wish i could have done more. i'm not a hero. a football coach and study hall teacher. the law enforcement, first

responders that came to our aid that day, they are the heros. >> charges were filed today in juvenile court against the 17 year old suspect. it is the first step in proceedings that could see him charged as an adult and possibly face life without the possibility of parole if convicted. students will be back in class tomorrow. well the national weather service warns the areas hit by tornadoes yesterday could soon face even more severe weather maybe even tomorrow. strong storms are expected to roll through that region again after midnight. wednesday's twisters in the midwest and south left 13 people dead and entire neighborhoods flattened. today the traditional start of the tornado season but we've already had more than 120 of them in 2012 and that is more than double the usual number. top? yeah, we hit 70 today, nice start to the spring. here is your wake up weather. we're in good shape to start the day. a little bit chilly, 38-46 at 5:00 and mid 30s and mid 40s at 7:00, we bounce back into the
