brother was bloodied. this shows zimmerman following the shooting. much has been made over what injuries if any this video shows. his brother thinks it's proof that zimmerman was hurt. >> what i see is a swollen nose. >> reporter: neither the mortician or the shooter's brother were present at the time of the shooting. an unidentified witness who was said zimmerman seemed rattled but not injured. >> he was, you know -- he didn't appear or anything else. he just kind of seemed very -- you know, very worried. the supreme court justices will meet later this morning to take a preliminary vote on the fate of president obama's health care law. the results are nonbinding and they won't be made public. their conference comes after six hours of historical oral arguments earlier this week. the justices will write their

opinions and a ruling is expected in june. a new study out suggests u.s. attacks in yemen have increased dramatically over the past year. the strikes on alleged militants in yemen are occurring at the same rate as the drone attacks in pakistan. yemen strikes have killed hundreds of people, including at least 54 civilians. tension between the united states and pakistan may be getting even worse now after another deadly drone attack there. suspected u.s. drone fired two missiles at a house in northwest pakistan killing three alleged militants. the attack happened in a town believed to be a key sanctuary for militants. this attack comes as pakistan's parliament works on a resolution demanding an end to u.s. drone attacks in the country. the house has passed the republican version after new federal budget, but the $3.5 trillion plan is expected to be dead on arrival in the senate.

the republican plan lowers income tax rates and erases several tax breaks while revamping medicare and cutting food stamp and transportation programs. wisconsin congressman paul ryan is expected to officially announce he is endorsing mitt romney today. some political analysts consider ryan to be one of the potential running mates for romney. >> today's endorsement comes a day after romney was endorsed endorsed boy president george h. w. bush. >> reporter: he sat down with the former president's houston office. the 41st president is backing the g.o.p. front-runner in his white house bid. >> he reminded me kenny rogers a time when to hold them, a time when to fold them. i think it's time for people to get all behind this good man. >> reporter: the endorsement is the latest sign that party leaders are eager to wrap up the primary race and begin the head-to-head battle with

president obama. >> i look forward to being successful in honoring that endorsement by winning. >> reporter: romney's closest rival rick santorum seemed to acknowledge publicly for the first time he may not win this contest. but he is still campaigning hard in wisconsin ahead of next week's primary. santorum needs a win tuesday to stay competitive in the race for the white house, but the latest polls show romney up by 8 points in wisconsin. his supporters have already spent more than $2 million on television ads there. newt gingrich lagged way behind in the polls and delegate count. the former speaker is trimming his staff and travel plans, but his campaign insists it's reworking its strategy and gingrich is not dropping his presidential bid. danielle nottingham, cbs news, the white house. >> president obama has 84 -- $84 million in the bank and dozens of offices up and running in key swing states. so far his campaign has spent a

total of $135 million on his reelection bid, more than romney and santorum have spent combined. recruiting teenage girls for prostitution on facebook at metro stations, even on the street. that's what federal investigators say five men were doing in northern virginia. some of the girls are as young as 16 years old, according to investigators. the ring leader is accused of selling the girls in motels, even going door to door soliciting customers at apartment buildings nearby. all five men are facing charges in the case. the hot lanes under construction between springfield and tysons corner have a new name. they'll be called express lanes to match with all the other express lanes nationwide. >> except the price you pay is going to depend on how many cars are on the road. peggy fox has more. >> reporter: there's nothing like a mild winter to keep a major project on schedule. some portions of the 495 express lanes are already getting paved. there are four new lanes, two

on each side running 14 miles from springfield to tysons. you know, that stretch that is always jammed up. the express lanes provide a way out of that mess either with a three-person car pool or for a price. >> we will maintain a minimum of 45. >> reporter: how do you do that? >> we're going to use a variable tolling method to limit the number of vehicles on itself road. >> reporter: tim steinhilber, builder and operator of the lanes says it's all about demand. in between the express lanes and the general lanes will be those plastic barriers that emergency vehicles can roll right over. but don't think you'll be able to cheat and get inside the express lanes without getting caught. cameras are being set up along the entire route. to ride the 495 express lanes, you must have an ez pass or smarttag. if you sneak in without one,

you'll likely be photographed and sent a bill for your toll the first time. >> if it happens again and you're a habitual violator, there's a system in place where you'll be charged penalties for violating on that road. >> reporter: if you noon ride with three or more, you need to get a flex pass which you can switch on or off for a free ride pooling but if you're caught, a state trooper is likely to catch you. they're hiring troopers just to patrol the express lanes. here's a look at some of the other things making news this friday morning. this former superintendent of the upper big branch mine in west virginia pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges. gary may who you see -- who you will see in the background of this photo was charged with hiding safety violations after the april 2010 explosion at the mine. the explosion killed 29 men. may will be sentenced on april 9. he faces up to five years in

prison and $250,000 fine. jet blue managers are debriefing the copilot who is credited with controlling an incident on board flight 191 from new york to las vegas. tuesday officials say jason dowd locked the pilot out of the cockpit after he exhibited erratic behavior. the plane made an emergency landing in sex sex. -- landing in texas. fromfirefighters in colorado say they're making progress on containing the deadly fire there. it's burned more than six square miles, destroyed at least 27 homes and killed two people. right now the wildfire just outside of denver is 45% contained and firefighters say light winds are starting to help them fight it but it could change with storms this weekend. some people are now being allowed back into their homes and officials warn, though, they might have to evacuate again. our time is 4:37. at 4:41, a judge issue as ruling in the tim tebow

trading yesterday. nasdaq was actually down by almost 10. the s&p 500 was down by 2. a judge has ordered reebok to stop selling new york jets apparel with tim tebow's name. that's after nike sued its rival. nike is about to replace reebok as the official n.f.l. apparel. reebok can only sell items made by march 1. denver traded the quarterback to new york last week. blackberry just isn't smart enough for a lot of us anymore. the company has been struggling to compete with the iphone and other high-tech touch screen models and now blackberry's manufacturer has decided to basically give up on the individual consumer market. it's going to only focus on business customers. in the last three months only one out of 20 smartphone buyers actually chose a blackberry. how times have changed. best buy will close 50 of its big box stores by the end of next year. electronics retailer wants to

expected to announce more information regarding permits to grow and sell medical marijuana under a law passed in 2010. a study has found a link between sleep apnea and major depression. researchers with centers for disease control and prevention studied nearly 10,000 american adults and they found those who suffer severe sleep apnea were more likely to develop symptoms of depression, including hopelessness and feeling like a failure. sleep apnea causes snoring disruptions and disruptions in breathing while you're sleeping. new numbers from the centers for disease control show a significant jump in children with ought autism. these figures are the highest to date. >> reporter: samantha is practicing her reading. >> beautiful. >> reporter: the 7-year-old has autism. she was diagnosed at 22 months old. >> she didn't have words. she could not follow directions. she had no eye come tact.

>> reporter: new physician -- eye contact. >> reporter: new figures show one in 88 children in the until has an autism spectrum disorder, a 25% increase from 2006. >> we don't know all what's contributed to the increase, but we do know that doctors are better able to identify and diagnose. >> greater awareness, inclusion of milder cases and of course there's always the possibility that there's a true rise in incidence. if there is, that's something that has to be better investigated. >> reporter: autism disorders are almost now five times more common in boys than girls affecting one in 54 boys compared to one in 252 girls. the study also finds more children are being diagnosed by age 3 but 40% of kids still aren't diagnosed until after they're 4. with both her daughter and her 5-year-old son on the autism spectrum, florence says early intervention made all the difference. >> i have my daughter speaking
