heading up through dale city, woodbridge, we're below speed prince william parkway across occoquan. pace still good into newington. it's heavier volume but all lanes are open on 395 heading up to the 14th street bridge. that's a look at your time saver traffic. next check at 6:11. at the top of the hour let's get to some of the stories happening today. the supreme court justices will deliver the health care case. the nine justices heard arguments over three days. our partners at "u.s.a. today" report the nine will meet today and chief -- in chief justice john roberts' chambers and discuss the case. when they're done they'll take a test vote in in order of seniority. they'll decide if they should take up the case in the first place, whether or not the requirement to buy insurance is constitutional. and if that requirement is struck down, the entire law will have to go. we don't expect to know what they'll decide when it comes to rulings until at least june. it could be weeks before a

special prosecutor in florida decides if there's any legal action that will be taken in the death of trayvon martin. >> the newest piece of video to come out of sanford, florida is raising questions about exactly what happened. >> by now you've seen that surveillance video. it shows george zimmerman at the policization the night -- police station the night he shot and killed martin. zimmerman said he was attacked by the teen and his head beaten into a curb. the funeral director who proposed martin's body said it showed no signs of a fight. now we're hearing from zimmer p.a.n.'s brother who had -- zimmerman's brother who had this to say to martin's parents. >> i can't speak for george. this is a tragedy. her son was lost. i feel very badly about that. and i want in the end not for her son's memory to be seen as how we degraded our system and

turned into mob rule and went into a hate speech. >> police released zimmerman from custody after determining there wasn't enough evidence to charge him. we'll have to wait and see today if in frederick county, maryland teachers follow through on their threats. they had vowed to do work to rule beginning today which means no work or help for students during lunch or after school when school day ends. teachers are upset with the county board of education rejecting a plan to give them a cost of living raise of 2% to 3%. 6:03. this morning there are a lot of people hoping for a big fat paycheck, one of $540 million. >> if you can beat the odds, that is how much you can win in tonight's megamillions drawing. delia goncalves is live in bethesda with a little more on lottery fever. >> reporter: good morning, mike, andrea. lottery fever is really running off today to a good start. we've seen just about our second person so far and it's

defendants recruited 16 to 18- year-old girls at schools, metro stations and even on facebook page. it appeared to belong to a teenage girl but the ringmaster minds were behind it. >> basically saying to them hey, you're pretty, do you want to make some money and through flattery and coercion and threats of violence, they would lure these young women into acts of prs institution. -- >> prostitution. >> prosecutors say the men involved beat up some of the girls who tried to quit. the investigation started four months ago thanks to a vigilant parent. police say parents should talk to their teens about this case because they may know more victims. today the d.c. health department will announce which companies will be allowed to grow medical marijuana in the district. six companies have been selected from dozens of bidders, including a firm partly owned by the former talk show host montel williams. it takes three months to grow and harvest marijuana and then it's sent to one of five

distribution centers. this next story might actually make you feel at least a little sorry for pepco. to montgomery county council members are drafting a bill to protect more trees from the utility trimming crews. last summer maryland's public service commission fined pepco a million bucks for unreliable service and ordered the company to better manage vegetation around the power lines. county residents have since complained about leftover stumps. but pepco says that's standard industry practice and removing stumps would cost a lot more. 6:37. jessica doyle is watching your money. >> despite the rough economy, one part of the real estate market is red hot. >> that's right. if you have the money, there's no denying that one part of the real estate market is doing really, really well because there are deep discounts out there. this is the market for vacation homes. sales of investment properties and vacation homes soared 65% last year. the national association of realtors says that at the same time sales to ordinary home

the long-term hot lane or express lane construction up near braddock road. that's what's been tying up the road. also 95 to head north on 495 through springfield. look how abrupt the lane shift is as traffic squeezes over. you still have four lanes maintained but everybody makes a sharp shift to the right on the inner loop of the beltway. on 66 threw lanes open but sluggish to get in through centreville, fair oaks and then again briefly on the beltway at 95 and 395. heaviest volume of traffic found in landmark and approaching the 14th street bridge where all lanes are open. the outer loop of the beltway a slow ride out of college park to silver spring. there's a new crash reported on the inner loop at st. barnabas road along the left side of the roadway. back to you. as for wall street we're looking higher on this friday. maybe going into the weekend with a rally. we're competitive group but congratulations and happy retirement to joe krebs on another network. have a great weekend,
