as general services administration. gsa chief in fact martha johnson resigned. two deputies were fired for spending $820,000. some of the expenses included $75,000 for a training exercise learning how to build a bicycle. $6,300 on a commemorative coin set and $3,200 on a mind reader for the convention. other employees have been suspended because of this trip. dan is going to take over the top job at gsa. president obama's defending his health care overhaul saying he's confident it's constitutional. the president argued it would be unprecedented if the supreme court overturned the law. justices are reviewing the so- called individual mandate and whether congress has the authority to force someone to boy something they don't want -- buy something they don't want, in this case health care. the supreme court is expected to announce the decision in june. at least seven people are dead after a shooting spree at a christian university in oakland, california. police say they have their

suspect in custody. they say it's 43-year-old one goh. >> investigators say he opened fire in a classroom and just kept shooting as he moved through the school building. bigad shaban has more. >> reporter: gunshots could be heard outside of christian college in oakland, california. witnesses say a former student pulled out a gun and starts shooting people inside classrooms at oikie university. >> right after that i heard like one woman scream. >> reporter: heavily armored police rushed to the scene and surrounded the campus. lucas garcia was teaching a class when he started evacuating students. >> scary. we didn't know what was happening and that was scary. >> reporter: officers pulled victims out on stretchers. police say their suspect, 43- year-old one goh turned himself into police at a shopping mall shortly after the shooting. investigators are still here at the college collecting evidence. the police chief says it could

approached cook in her car. state police say the cop shot cook after she drove off with the officer's arm trapped in the car window and refused to stop. an eyewitness however told 9news now that the officer's arm was never caught. the officer has not been publicly identified yet. our time is 4:35. here's a look at other things making news now. the parents of trayvon martin want the justice department to expand the probe into their son's death. they want federal officials to investigate federal prosecutor wolfinger. they want to know why the office made the decision not to charge george zimmerman after the february 26th shooting. the justice department is already looking into the sanford police department's handling of the case. it's been 14 years since the bluegrass state celebrated a national championship in college basketball. the number one ranked kentucky wildcats closed the deal last night in new orleans. kentucky dominated kansas for most of the ncaa title game. the late run by kansas however

overnight and no cold. not for the district but howard and montgomery, loudoun, prince william, fauquier counties north and west under frost advisories in the darker blue. the light blue here to carroll and frederick and washington counties to the west, you guys are under a freeze warning until 9:00 a.m. temperatures are all other the place depending on whether or not the winds are dead calm. you can get cold quickly right at the surface and that's in gaithersburg at 36. culpeper down to 32 but where with winds are up in winchester and hagerstown mid 40s right now. baltimore is 37. reagan national thanks to the water off the potomac there at 48 but it's 39 in alexandria and bethesda. down to 34 in reston. so you likely have some frost on some of the darker cars already. same with manassas and haymarket and college park this morning also 37 degrees. outside on the michael & son weather camera, it's dark. pretty much. clear skies there. you're looking at the white house. 28 degrees with a north

northeast wind only 3 miles an hour. and the relative humidity at 52%. nationally another storm in the midwest, that's been the case for the last few weeks a very stormy half for them. in the rockies though a little bit of spring snow falling through southern colorado. the mountains northern new mexico 1 to 2 feet of snow expected from this. i'll have some storms there in oklahoma and down toward mississippi as well. and even in the lakes this morning, we're watching some showers and storms, wisconsin into michigan. but for us hey high pressure is in control, that's going to be the case all day. we're staying in food with the futurecast. 5:00 p.m. all is still quiet. tonight watch what happens from the north and west at 3:00 this morning, an area of showers looks like it's going to pop through us overnight. by 7:00 a.m. that should be south and east of us and we'll be partly sunny to mostly cloudy conditions at times tomorrow. 3:00 in the afternoon on wednesday, notice down as you head down toward areas of

strasburg south and to the valley potentially some showers and maybe into fredericksburg as well and that will be the best chance of it south of d.c. tomorrow. a chance of showers in the afternoon. and temperatures should be upper 60s to maybe even low to mid-70s if we can get enough sunshine. all depend on how chick the cloud cover is going -- thick cloud cover is going to be for us. tonight a shower and not nearly as cold. upper 40s to low 50s. tomorrow low possibly mid 70s with a shower south of d.c.. depending on the cloud cover. that will determine how warm we get. 60 on thursday. so definitely a cooler trend for thursday and friday only 61. now saturday not bad. 64. easter sunday still looks pretty good. 68 and monday around 70. slight chance of a shower then. it is 4:47. 48 degrees here in washington. and monika samtani has a smile and some traffic information. a nice day and that's what we have to look forward to although we had a lot of construction overnight.

i should hope that within the next few minutes it will be cleared up. in the meantime let's take a look around town. if you're planning to head over to the beltway on the north side there was construction right here near the green belt metro station and route 1 in the college park area. so be aware of that. i think that should be cleared up shortly. let's take a live look outside. here's 270 southbound on montrose road and this is the good indication of all of them really coming in from the north and down to the beltway including 95 out of baltimore as well. back to the maps and this time to the other side. no problems out of southern maryland, route 4, route 5, route 301. everything is fine heading into oxon hill and down into the wilson bridge. a live look right here at the beltway. route 4 pennsylvania avenue near andrews air force base and pretty much the entire prince george's county side of the beltway looks absolutely fine. coming up in my next report, we'll take a look at 95 in virginia at 4:55. mike? thank you monika. is sugar a toxin? that's a big discussion
