of dollars of debt. breaking news. a nuclear power sub goes up in flames. it's happening right now at the portsmouth naval shipyard in maine. take a look. that's the u.s.s. miami. two firefighters were hurt. two others have been taken from the scene. the police chief said there was no danger to the public and no evacuations. we're also following another break news story. an entire shift of firefighters have fallen ill. >> it may have something to do with the call they responded to this morning. ken -- ken molestina is there live. >> reporter: i was able to speak to sources within the fire department. they say this all does in fact stem from that fire call that you mentioned at 11:25. firefighters with engine company 10 and truck 13 were called out to a fire on hayes street. we understand that at some

point while on that fire they may have come across some kind of a home drug lab and possibly been exposed to some of the chemicals there. we understand once that fire wrapped up the firefighters packed up there' trucks, they came back here to their fire house, and it wasn't until hours later into the evening that they began to complain of illness. they began to fall ill, complaining of dizziness, some of them even vomiting. at that point the entire firehouse, eight firefighters, were relieved of duty. right now they are at a medical center being evaluated for this possible exposure. we understand that nine other firefighters from around the city had to be detailed to this firehouse. it's called the house of pain. those nine firefighters are now holding down the fort while the eight firefighters who normally would be assigned to this house are being treated. of course this is interest that's developing right now. we're going to know more about this tomorrow morning in the later hours. but those eight firefighters we understand are being treated and we do not know techs stent of their injuries or what their

conditions may be. >> ken molestina, hope everybody is okay, thanks for that. a warning about fake id's that young people in our area are buying from a popular website. teens apparently flocking to the site to get the id card so they can buy alcohol. >> as reporter andrea mccarren explains, the fake id's are leading to real identity theft. >> you're located in a safe country. >> it's a wildly popular china- based website that appears to be doing a booming business. >> they have eye color, maroon. >> they feature holograms, encrypted personal information and a level of sophistication so high that they're able to pass through scanners used by bars and liquor stores to prevent minors from buying booze. >> the person's name, date of birth. that information is encrypted right on the strip so when you scan the driver's license, it will come up with valid

information on the front where in the old days they didn't have the ability to do. that. >> reporter: unsuspecting teenagers may be buying more than access to alcohol. they're being targeted for identity theft. >> they're selling their information. we're now finding out they have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt. >> reporter: according to law enforcement the chinese scam artists are heading to students' facebook pages to cull additional information to further their scheme. >> so it's not like you can file police reports for your bad fake id. >> the site even warns buyers to beware of fake id scams. with the help of police and sarah, a police intern, we ordered a fraudulent pennsylvania driver's license. we uploaded her signature and photograph and as required wired $200 via western union. in the last 24 hours our fake

id's arrived. they had made the 8,000 mile journey from china to gaithersburg, maryland. they came packaged in an envelope marked graceland. inside was a gift box and an actual red bracelet. but underneath the padding, wrapped in plain white paper were a pair of fake id's. >> it's as authentic as you can possibly be. >> reporter: they even passed the black light test to detect fake id's in bars or nightclubs night. wouldn't consider this fake at all. i wouldn't think twice about this id. >> police warn that anyone who is underage and caught using a fake id faces a penalty especially harsh by teenage standards. they could lose their driver's license for up to a year and may impact the cost of car insurance. andrea mccarren, 9news now. a massive amount of rain we've been seeing the last few

days. topper shutt is joining me in the weather center. a slow moving storm with a lot of moisture. >> there is a flood warning for prince william county until 4:45áeu7 the morning. if you're coming in from that part of the area i would allow some extra time, though this is prince william county. the same folks that got hit on monday night. when it rains it pours, so to speak. up to the north there's a couple of showers north of frederick. other than that this is the heaviest activity we can find. walkersville is middle town, north of 70, they have some pretty heavy rain, rainfall rates half an inch to three- quarters of an inch an hour. we'll come back and talk about these storms in the northern neck and southern maryland. we'll tell you where those may head just in time for your commute. now to the federal investigation into the 2010 campaign of d.c. mayor vincent gray. investigators today leveled charges at a second campaign worker for gray, howard brooks. he's do in court tomorrow and

he's expected to enter a guilty plea to making a false statement to investigators. those investigators say brooks helped move cash from the gray campaign into the hands of another candidate for mayor. >> reporter: i wouldn't be doing my job if i didn't ask this question. >> again, i'm not going to comment. we'll let the investigation play out. >> thomas gore pleaded guilty to charges connected to his role in the scheme to fum money to suleiman brown. finally positive news for facebook. after three dance in dump they finished at $32, up a dollar, or 3.5%.

meantime investigators are investigating morgan stanley. the regulators want to know did morgan stanley share their less than rosy outlook with their clients but not the wider audience, folks like you and me? they increased the size of the offering, they increased the price of the offering. at the same time, apparently they were getting wind that the results of the company, the financial results, were a little weaker than anticipated. also today, a group of shareholders filed suit against facebook and ceo mark zuckerberg. they say key financial information was not disclosed before those shares went public. a facebook spokesperson insists that the suit is without merit. he was murdered. and no one signs up for that. >> that was the mother of former florida a & m drum major robert champion disputing claims that her son wanted to be hazed. new interviews with members of the marching band suggested

champion agreed to the ritual that eventually killed him. that involved champion make his way from one end of the bus to the other while being punched, kicked, and beaten with mall lets. >> it kind of amazed me how people in the band, they're mad at the people that are telling on things that are happening in the band and they're not mad about his death. >> 11 band members now face arraignment on felony hazing charges. if convicted, they could face up to six years in prison. an official apology today from the director of the secret service about last month's prostitution scandal in colombia. the director said he was certain that the scandal was an isolated episode. but some lawmakers aren't so sure. matt jablow has details. >> one month after the prostitution scandal that cast a large shadow over the secret service, director mark sullivan appeared before the governmental affairs committee

to offer a full apology. >> i am deem disappointed and i apologize for the misconduct of these employees and the distraction that it has caused. >> reporter: sullivan went on to say there's no evidence to suggest that the actions of the 12 agents in colombia were part of a pattern of improper behavior by secret service agents. >> the behavior is morally repugnant. >> reporter: which is exactly what some lawmakers are suggesting, in light of the fact that several agents implicated are now saying that they're being scapegoated for behavior long tolerated by secret service supervisors. >> the fact so far lead me to conclude that while not at all representative of the majority secret service personnel, this misconduct was almost certainly not an isolated incident. >> i've worked
