back to you. >> of course we'll be following this as the investigation continues. thank you, bruce. we have breaking news right now in maryland where police are on the scene of another suspected bottle bomb explosion in anne arundel county. today's incident in glenn bernie comes on the heels of this week's arrest of two teens throwing a bomb at a six-year- old girl on a pasadena playground. scott broom joins us live from the scene of the most recent incident with details. scott, this is not funny. >> no, it's not funny. the police just wrapped from this location. turns out they don't think it was a bottle bomb, but it's a measure of sensitivity to this issue. let me show you what this is about. this is not a secret with any 14 or 15-year-old boy. an empty bottle with a cap. a little bit of aluminum foil. this recipe is widely published all over youtube and the

results are breaking out all over the region. bottle bomb videos are easy to find on the internet. you can look it up on google. >> as any 14-year-old boy around glenn bernie, maryland, can tell you. >> it's easy because you can get ahold of the chemicals. >> it was here on a playground on the sunset elementary school where two teens tried to attack a six-year-old girl with one of the bombs police say. there were no injuries, but two boys are under arrest and facing felony charges. >> this here is some evidence. >> the fire department here is plagued with this problem and has assisted police and prosecutors in making at least four felony cases in the past year. because while it looks like a prank on youtube, the danger is real. >> they can absolutely really get hurt. in the case that we had in april, there was a blast injury to the individual.

in anne arundel county. they are in huge trouble tonight. reporting live, scott broom, 9news now. >> let's hope that deters other teens from doing the same thing. scott, thank you. the father of a key witness and more accusers took the stand at jerry sandusky's sex abuse trial. manuel has the latest from bellefonte, pennsylvania. >> reporter: more alleged molestation victims on the witness stand today in the trial of jerry sandusky. prosecutors are trying to show a pattern to sandusky's alleged predatory conduct. >> three more accusers describe jerry sandusky's sexual abuse. through tears, a 23-year-old known as victim number five, testified sandusky exposed himself, touched his genitals, and made him fondle sandusky before the 12-year-old got away and got dressed. the boy testified he never told

anyone saying, he was embarrassed and wanted to forget. >> mr. sandusky took him from the weight room to the sauna to the shower. a familiar story. >> earlier, a 25-year-old known as victim number ten told jurors sandusky pinned him down in his basement and performed oral sex on him and made him resiplyricat. he said sandusky apologized and said he loved him. all of today's accusers met sandusky through the charity he founded for at risk youth. one of the witnesses admitted he went for prison for drugs and robbery, but says his life is on track now with a girlfriend and a baby on the way. on cross-examination, the defense is trying to point out inconsistencies in the accuser's stories, trying to suggest they may be collaborating. earlier, the father of former assistant coach described a call he received from his son

after he saw sandusky abusing a boy in a penn state shower. he told his son to call his penn state boss, coach joe paterno, but the defense questioned why no one called 911. the elder mcquery said he talked with penn state's vice president at the time to follow up on what his son saw. he testified that the vice president told him that he heard noises about his misconduct before. from bellefonte, pennsylvania, anita, back to you. >> tough testify to listen to, manuel, thank you. sandusky admits showering with boys, but said he did nothing criminal. we have breaking news about lance armstrong. the 7-time tour tour de france winner said they brought doping charges against him. a letter says blood samples collected in 2009 and 2010 were consistent with blood

>> all right bruce, thank you. anita. well, there is new information on a vicious dog attack in northeast washington. the 74-year-old victim is still in the hospital and neighbors have been telling us the two dogs had been terrorizing that river terrorist neighborhood for months. so nine wants to know, what do you need to do if there's a dangerous dog in your neighborhood to keep everybody safe? kristin fisher got some answers and she's live at the scene of yesterday's attack, kristen? >> it turns out these guard dogs at towing pro were on animal control's radar. infact, they were called out twice last year when the dogs got out. both times, animal control officers did nothing because they didn't actually see the violation taking place. and that's what it takes to impound a dog in d.c., unless there's a bite. >> it takes a tragedy, something like this, for the paperwork to get started. it shouldn't have to come down to that. >> leroy says the same two

dogs turned on him about two months ago. >> my heart was like, boom, boom, i thought i was going to get bit. >> he confronted the dog's owners, but he never officially reported it to d.c. police or animal control. >> yesterday tried to help my neighbor. i should have reported it. >> why didn't he? he used to call animal control all the time about a different dog, but got discouraged when they did nothing. >> they would have laughed and brushed me off, too. >> we understand it can get really frustrating for the public to have to call and report these things over and over and over. >> molly works for d.c.'s department of health. the agency that oversees the animal controls. she says per says per assistant persistent is key. >> we may not be able to get there before the dog goes home.

flew over montgomery county where police investigated an armed robbery of an armored car. now this happened at the navy federal credit union on rockville pike around 11:30 this morning. after the robbery, police say the armored car went to its next stop. at that point, police were called. there is a lookout tonight for two men, one of them armed with a handgun. police are calling a prominent trauma surgeon a person of interest outside of a buffalo, new york hospital. timothy jordan is a former u.s. army special forces captain. the shooting outside eerie county medical center left a 33- year-old woman dead. that hospital was locked down for four hours following the shooting. a buffalo newspaper reports the

49-year-old surgeon had recently began having emotional problems. casey anthony has broken her silence. the florida mother hasn't been seen since she was acquitted last year of killing her two- year-old daughter, caylee. in an unrecorded phone conversation, cnn's pierce morgan said anthony told him, the jury got it right. >> she said, well i mean, there's obviously several miscon senses. obviously i didn't kill my daughter. there's nothing in the world i am more proud of. she's my greatest accomplishment. >> morgan also says anthony told him she was ashamed in many ways of the person she was, but she has never been a party girl. her daughter went missing in 2008, but she didn't report it for a month. caylee's body was found five months later. it has been two years since morgan harrington disappeared from a metalica concert.

they are trying to help the fbi find harrington's killer. they made a reward available for information leading to the suspect and now they released a video in an effort to drum up leads in finding that person. the reward stands at $150,000. firefighters continue to battle wild fires in several western states. in colorado, a fire is about 70 miles outside of denver is growing. but fire crews are starting to contain that massive blaze. >> firefighters load up at the staging area about 3 miles from the front line. tyler and his crew drove eight hours to be here and are getting ready for their first day. >> the purpose right now is to save structures. that's what we are trying to do out there. >> the fire that covers more than 70 square miles is threatening hundreds of homes. crews have contained a small section allowing some evacuees back in. but in other areas, the flames are spreading into dry forest.

taking a look at stories making headlines from around the world tonight. a wave of car bombings killed at least 65 people today and baghdad. it was one of the deadliest attacks in iraq since u.s. troops pulled out. so far, no one is claiming responsibility, but siouxny sunni insurgents. the fighting in syria has now turned into a full scale civil war. that is according to the u.n. under secretary general for peace keeping operations. the news comes as a u.n. convoy that was attacked return to demascas with their damaged vehicles. the regime forces regained control of hapa. the report says authorities

high school seniors graduate tomorrow, but three students will not be there to participate. that is on top of the seven-day suspension because of a senior prank that went a little too far. surae chin is here to talk about punishments. surae. >> that's right, six kids were involved in this prank and some of them right now are serving a suspension. now the kids admit that this was the wrong thing to do. someone could have gotten hurt. but they also say that they are sorry for what they did. that they would do anything, scrub the school from top to bottom, if only they could participate in the graduation ceremony. >> it kills me that it's in this bag right now. >> chris is deciding if he'll ever try on his red graduation gown. a senior prank of baby oil seemed funny at the time. >> slip and slide, have a god time in the hallway. >> now it cost him and his two

everybody else who might do something crazy. back to you, anita. >> no kidding. president obama stepped out of the white house today for lunch at kenny's smoke house in northeast. he ate with four lucky dads, two of them were active military members. the other two were bar barbers. st redskins completed their final day of minicamp. kristen berset is live with the guys. hey kristen, good to see you. >> reporter: good to see you guys. yeah, weather is cooperating a lot better today than it was yesterday for what turns out to be the final day of minicamp. i fully expected to be in the same spot tomorrow. minicamp doesn't officially end until tomorrow, mike shanahan told his guys they aren't going to hit the field. they are going to come in in the morning, get a workout, and watch them film.

that's it. five week vacation will start a little early. mike shanahan said his team has been working hard these last several weeks, but they are banged up. he wants them to get some rest. that means all the training and the practice is all on their shoulders right now. they have five weeks off until training camp starts. shanahan feels like everyone, especially the new guys, have a good understanding of everything they've done the last several weeks. >> getting to learn the system. the last four weeks with two weeks and three days with the ota's and this week with the minicamps. a week before with four days, it's been a big plus for us. we got a lot done. and hopefully with five week vacation, they will come back ready to go. >> see where guys are at and what type of looks you'll feel and get the defense and what the other guys are playing with and getting a feel with the quarterback before training camp, it helps. >> there were some fans and partners of the team here

caught on tape, some dash cam video of a police video. this is an 18 month old girl being thrown from a crashing suv in texas. see that little circle there? that's a little one. police say the toddler's father was trying to get away after a robbery. he rolled his vehicle during a high speed chase. with his daughter in the car. okay. now you can see that she immediately gets up and walks after being ejected. amazingly, she had just minor injuries. another woman in that vehicle with the little girl jumped out and rescued her. as you can imagine, the father faces multiple criminal charges. >> as he should. many of us are familiar with truth or dare. well, a new york city woman
