7:19 pm
this is our live weather cam brought to you by michael and son. temperatures are still pretty toasty, in fact, looking at temperatures still in the 90s. neither one of these things are working. okay, here we go. i'll press them both at once. i might explode and vaporize, but i'm going to press them both at once anyway. i haven't vaporized yet. my time is a going. there we go, 93, dew point 62. dew points have come up, but it's still very comfortable in terms of humidity, winds southwest at 10, pressure falling, 30.00 inches of mercury. here is what's left of isaac hammering northern missouri now and actually headed for southern iowa. this is good news. they've had no rain in southern iowa much of the summer either and some of the showers and thunderstorms go as far east as eastern kentucky. we have talked about this yesterday. even though the center of isaac will be well to the west of us by the time we get to sunday and monday just enough energy and moisture there to give us a couple showers and thunderstorms.
7:20 pm

7:21 pm
perfectly respectable and by afternoon we're looking at temperatures around 90. it's going to be kind of hot but just an isolated shower or storm possible. do not cancel those tee times. never. next three days green tomorrow, code green, 91, but we'll go code yellow sunday and labor day, 86 sunday, primarily afternoon storms and labor day storms can occur at any time. next seven days showers and storms could linger tuesday and wednesday and even into thursday. by thursday a cold front rolls through. that should clear what is left of isaac completely out of the eastern seaboard, leave us with a nice friday next week. in our weird news file you know how sometimes people will pant size about being at their own funerals -- fantasize about being at their own funerals. that, of course, is quite unlikely. however, here is the next best thing to the rugged southern island of iceland where a woman on a tour bus went missing and search and rescue spent hours looking for her and then they

realized she was actually on the tour bus and had, in fact, taken part in the search for herself, yeah. somehow officials thought the woman failed to get on the bus and reported her missing. the real issue was that somebody miscounted the number of folks and that was compounded by the fact when they described the missing person, the woman didn't realize they were talking about her. afterwards somebody heard her saying so you guys really miss me, huh? >> where is topper? where is that great guy? >> we want to hear what you think. send your e-mails to mcginty's mailbag, the address mailbag@wusa9.com. 9 news now will be right back.

it. i'm supposed to believe we should take blind faith in the economy that is driven by what housewives want to buy that is made in the u.s. or not, the same economy that chopped my retirement fund in half, a five- step plan that will save us all but he didn't say how? i'm starting to get a little nervous. is this the best the rnc can do? but the major league reaction was out on the wusa9 facebook passenger and that all circled around actor director clint eastwood and his empty chair routine that took everybody by surprised, steven called it quite bizarre, rambling and puzzling. it was a bad idea. maybe it sounded good before, but it sure did not deliver. oh, sure, there were maybe one or two zingers, but the whole thing was like small town bad theater, but jay arrowwood called it brilliant. if you didn't get it, you never will. the chair represented empty ideas, the president that is never around for the american people dodging of questions, empty hope, empty promises. well, all i know is whatever you think about eastwood's act
