he asuspected of stealing a motorcycle. he was hit in the back, but will recover. the officer has been place on administrative leave. in an 84-year-old woman beaten, robbed and left on the floor of her apartment for 24 hours until a neighbor heard her cries for help. it happened last february in maryland. now police have arrested the 55- year-old. it turns out the victim bit her attacker on the hand. police are saying dna tests from the blood led them to their suspect. prince georges county police shutdown a club that was the scene of a recent assault. officers locked up the hall. in this case, the hall's use and occupancy permit had expired. the shutdown was authorized under the 2011 dance hall bill that has closed a dozen clubs. it is 5:05 now your money

looking out to the west- southwest this morning. nice and quiet. no clouds out there, 72 degrees at national with the dew point in the upper 60s. that is a little bit better than yesterday morning. the current humidity is 87%. cool stuff in the northern plains and rockies. the temperatures are in the 30s. and 40s this morning. i point that out, the cooler air will be moving east and southeast. the storm system is a big one in canada. behind ia cold front, which is producing the showers coming out of south dakota, in towards iowa and wisconsin. with the cool air north of that boundary, that boundary is coming. it will be coming here late tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow evening. out ahead of it, the air is rather warm, a little unstable in spots. today is not bad. really, good, with sunshine. just a spotty afternoon storm is going to pop, that's it. most of us i will not be bothered by anything today. but the low 90s.

>> the nats got in punches with their runs last night. we breakdown the brawls. >> reporter: good morning, everyone. the fireworks were flying last night at nationals park. it was not just the long balls. this time punches were being thrown. the cubs frustration boiling over into two benches clearing brawls. this was the situation before this happened. nats up by 3 runs in the 4th. zimmerman at the dish. he knock as single to left. the nats just keep adding on the runs. in the next inning, cubs bench coach and the nats third base coach get into a verbal argument. porter heads over to the cubs dugout. standing on top of the sketches. that leads to the first benches clearing brawl. both bullpens come over. that was not the end of it.

well, a scandal for football powerhouse. the "washington post" is reporting five football teaches were thrown off of the team. according to the parents, the players hired prostitutes in virginia last weekend. the washington, d.c. department of health is reporting the city's first death from west nail virus this summer. the victim was an elderly man. a second resident is suffering from the virus and he is hospitalized. the federal government is saying nationwide there is a sharp increase in the number of cases this year. more rain could mean trouble for parts of ocean city in maryland. inspectors have condemned a restaurant where heavy rains caused a roof to collapse. firefighters had to help stranded driver who were stuck in flash flood warning and investigators are blaming a couple of house fires on lightning strikes. just about 5:35 and time
