breaux also yesterday pierre garcon told reporters he has a torn ligament in his foot. he's not sure when he will be back. mike shanahan said it's a part of pain tolerance. also good news, london fletcher not dealing with a foot injury. just joking because the bad news is he's got a strained hammy and he also missed practice yesterday to see a specialist for balance problems. not sure if it's associated with a concussion but he is certainly questionable for sunday. finally last night the giants going up two games to love against the tigers in the world series. getting this a sacrifice other fielder's choice i should say last night. that drove in a run. they beat the tigers 2-0. they're up two games to none in the world series. that's a quick look at sports. have a great friday, everybody. >> thank you, dave. here's what it looks like on the northbound side of i-95 in springfield. no issues.

6:33 am
800 to 1200 bucks for generators. a lot of folks were buying supplies to clean out gutters and drains. the stuff is flying off the shelves. if big rains come, folks want to make sure that the water can get away from their homes, not trapped in all those gutter and drains. so definitely something you might want to do this weekend careening out all those -- cleaning out all those gutters and drains. as for what the power companies are doing, we know they've already done a lot. we'll get more information later today. bge holding a press conference up in baltimore. pepco will be holding a press conference here at around 1:00 this afternoon. they're going to be giving some tips on what you and i should be doing to be prepared and they're also going to be providing a bit more information about what they're going to be doing to be prepared. andrea, jessica, hard to believe we're dealing with what could be a very big hurricane heading our way this late in the year, right? >> hurricane colliding with a cold front. not good. >> kristin fisher live from pepco headquarters.

to be in pittsburgh. will they still be dry fans? >> i think it will be cool but dry. the problems will be south and east. early next week monday, tuesday time frame look to be on the rough side around here if this track doesn't change from where we think it's going right now. we start with the satellite loop of sandy down in the caribbean. it is in the northern bahamas. the coldest cloud tops, the brighter ones you see are north of the center of circulation. there's upper level winds that are trying to rip it apart a little bit. this thing is still maintaining a low level circulation and even though it may weaken a little bit as it moves north, it's likely going to intensify as it gets up toward the carolinas. here's the forecast track. latest advisory. winds at 830 gusting to -- at 80 gusting to 100. pressure has come up a little bit. watch that number over the weekend. it will go up and probably down again as it gets farther north.
