>> reporter: recent poll show the vermont senator leading clinton in west virginia's democratic primary tomorrow. 29 delegates are at stake. clinton has 93% of the delegates at stake. donald trump will meet with paul ryan in his quest to secure the republican nomination. >> hena daniels in new york. thanks a lot. firefighters in alberta say the ft. mcmurray wildfire could still be smoldering months from now. this morning, crews say they've reached a turning point as they battle the flames. the fire has scorched about 620 square miles in the northeast corner of the western canadian province. firefighters are counting on cooler temperatures in the next four days. >> just embers underneath the ground there. all heated up. you're trying to get to the roots to get at it because it could ignite at any time. with this wind, it keeps blowing all over the place. >> crews think they can keep

facilities. the flames drove 80,000 people out of ft. mcmurray and destroyed 1,600 buildings in the city. there is some good news -- about 80% of ft. mcmurray's homes are still standing according to a member of parliament who toured the devastation. the alberta wildfire is so large its smoke can be seen from 250 miles up. british astronaut tim peeke photographed the plumes from the international space station. he posted them on twitter and expressed concern for those affected by the fire. there's more wild weather forecast for the plains and mississippi valley this morning. in what has been a stormy spring nationwide. severe thunderstorms yesterday doused some central and southern states. a tornado roared across colorado's northeastern plains saturday. it damaged about a dozen camping trailers, but no one was hurt. in southeastern illinois, winds of 66 miles per hour knocked down power lines over

the roof of a school. no one was inside at the time, though. a worrisome midair experience for more than 100 passengers on a delta flight heading for chicago. the boeing 717 hit turbulence over tennessee yesterday after leaving atlanta. an engine housing was ripped away. the plane was diverted to nashville and landed safely. delta said it apologized to customers and is investigating. in california now, one person, the pilot, was hospitalized after a small plane nose-dived on to a large building. it happened yesterday in pomona, a little east of l.a. officials are trying to determine if anyone else was on board. and the caution, of course, is under investigation. north carolina officials are facing a federal deadline today in a showdown over the state's bathroom law. the justice department wants to know if the state plans to enforce a law limiting which public bathrooms transgenderser people may use. governor pat mccrory says the
