i'm anne-marie green. thousands are xpged expected hena daniels is here in new york. >> cubans are observing nine days of mourning and today after 9:00 a.m., tens of thousands are expected to gather in the streets of havana when simultaneous 21 gun salutes will sound off in the capital. meanwhile in miami, they are looking forward to better times in cuba. massive crowds are expected today at havana's revolution plaza to pay tribute to fidel castro. mourners allowed to sign a book of condolences and on tuesday a ceremony is planned in the square. the iron fisted former dictator had numerous critics brought but

intense fighting was roverted over the weekend. the rapid advance follows weeks of russian and syrian air strikes. a bomb was discovered today just yards -- police detonated the bomb. they called an improvised explosive device and no injured. one man was killed when two men opened fire in new orleans crowded french quarter. nine others were wounded. police are searching for the suspects. officials say none of the victims were targeted and the trouble began with an argument. >> they were not from new orleans but we will find them and we will go to the ends of the earth to make sure we bring them to justice. >> reporter: the suspects ran from the scene. two women and eight men were
