morning. a look at how low temperatures will go. captioning funded by cbs good morning, good to be with you, i'm anne-marie green. this morning, president-elect trump plans to announce that exxonmobil chief rex tillerson is his selection for secretary of state, questions about the ties to russia come as congressional leaders say they support investigations into the possible russia cyber attacks to influence the election. hena daniels is here in new york. good morning. >> good morning, anne-marie. overnight, russian president vladimir putin said he's ready to meet with the next president of the united states. in fact, he wants to give mr. trump time to form his administration first. >> reporter: president-elect donald trump hinted of his secretary of state announcement in a tweet. praised rex tillerson in an interview with fox news.

mr. trump took to social media last night to address plans for his business dealings. writing two of my children, don and eric, plus executives, will manage them. no new deals will be done during my years in office. president-elect is selected to announce mr. romney's niece for the claire. president obama addressed the alleged russia interference in the presidential election. >> this was not a secret running up to the election. the president-elect in some of his political events specifically said to the russians, hack hillary's e-mails. so that we can finally find out what's going on. and confirm our conspiracy theories. >> now, it was at a campaign appearance back in july that

for crowdstrike, the cyber security firm that investigated the hack and works closely with u.s. intelligence. what did you see? >> imagine somebody breaks in a bank and they used some kind of special saw to cut through the safe. we found that saw as they were using it. >> reporter: so you caught them in action? >> we did. >> reporter: myers said it was hackers he nicknamed fancy bearings and cozy bears. the information they obtained was passed on to wikileaks and made public. the hackers also gained access to some republican files but that information never became public. even after being exposed, the hacks against democrats continue. this is pretty bold, pretty brazen in a lot of ways. >> it's very russian. >> reporter: what do you mean by that? >> i don't think that the russians are shy or necessarily pull back after something like that happened. they're doing their thing. >> one reason the cia bve

i'm erik fisher for cbs news. a los angeles flight diverted to new york following a bomb threat was given the all clear. the lufthansa flight called into led quarters in germany. the pilot went in as a precaution last night. passengers and crew were evacuated on the airbus. no one was injured. delta said she did not comply with proper boarding and tech procedures. one witness said she blew by the agent without checking in. she refused to leave the airplane when asked. the woman was taken into custody following the incident. dylann roof, the man accused of killing nine people in a black church had a list of other churches in his car. but roof told the fbi he was too worn out after the shooting at the ame church to

griffin was trapped inside the massive warehouse fire in oakland, california, 36 people died including griffin. saija was not there. in her grief, she remembered a moment the two shared in new york last year. they had just seen the "book of mormon" on broadway. on facebook she wrote, the city was so beautiful, amist all the lights i got to look at the brightest light of all, i cried and we missed. a photographer nearby captured the moment. saija's red lipstick on griffin's cheek. >> they looked like nobody exists. >> reporter: he took the photo, one of 200,000 on the streets of new york for saija, this became everything. after the fire, she tried to track down the photograph to get a copy. maybe some facebook miracle could happen. please share, she wrote. thousands of people
