i'm anne-marie green. well, president trump is at a south carolina plant today but this morning focuses on his stunning back challenge conference yesterday. he did not hold back against the press being dishonest saying the intelligence leaks are legal but the news about them are fake and tajjing about his campaign links to russia. craig boswell begins our coverage. >> there's never been a presidency that's done so much in such a short period of time. >> reporter: in office for less than a month, president trump boasted about his accomplishments and brushed off reports of chaos at the white house. >> this administration is running like a fine tuned machine. >> he had to dismiss his acting attorney general, he faced an executive order which was rejected by three different federal courts, and then he had to take the resignation o

to set up a meeting with the president. now, this follows one of the more startling moments during yesterday's news conference when the president asked a black reporter if she could set up a meeting with the caucus. >> am i going to -- >> are you going to include the congressional blark qck caucus. >> well, i would. do you want to set up the meeting? are they friends of yours? let's go. set up a meeting. i would love to meet with the black hawk caucus. i think it's great. >> one member of the black caucus said there was an element of disrespect in mr. trump's question. the president announced a new nominee for labor secretary but a top candidate turned it down. today the senate is expected to hold the final vote on mr. trump's nominee to head the environmental protection agency. hena daniels is here in new york. good morning, hena.

what is that all about? how 45 pounds of it was discovered at dulles. first though let's check on the weather and it looks like we can ditch the jacket for the weekend, 70 allyson. >> well yeah not yet. you can ditch the jacket absolutely but it's cold out there this morning, it's going to be a nice cold start with a nice afternoon. so today's day one of the warm- up but one of the colder starts of the week morning-wise. 30-degrees and dew point at 15 so when you have real dry air the winds finally relax and the temperatures just fell off into the 20s we go this morning. 23 for leesburg and look at manassas 16 degrees. it's cold out there this morning but we don't have a lot of wind today. so that's going to be comfortable. highs today above average and yeah this is going to be the coldest day of the next seven. that's a sign of how warm it's going to be. upper 40s low 50s this afternoon and i'll time out the weekend forecast coming up in just a bit. actually we have some trouble going on. i know so

expect things to be just running phone but no -- fine, but no gw parkway when you head towards the beltway, we have an accident and there's actually quite a bit backup from it. northbound lanes so it's heading out of d.c. turkey run park between there and the beltway. so we are jammed if you come around to the buildway. hopefully that clears up before the real rush hour kicks in. also a photo of an accident overnight in suitland parkway. it's closed down for three hours one person possibly some serious injuries. about four different vehicles involved in. mike and jan will continue to check on the injuries' update but suitland parkway is back open. more than 100 firefighters have been battling flames in north baltimore. the fire department tweeted out the felts of the fire beginning around 9:00 last night and crews have been on the scene for hours just working to put out the flames. nobody was evacuated and there's still no word on what caused

the fbi arrested a man. 29-year-old benjamin mcdowell reportedly told the fbi agent his plan and even bought a gun that agent. he reportedly told that agent he was looking for a way to have an attack on nonwhites without getting caught. the federal judge dismissed a defamation lawsuit that was filed against bill cosby by accuser katherine mckey. the judge said he defended himself against her accusations. cosby actually tweeted out a picture of the dismissal order one of the rare times he's addressed the accusations. and that's a look at what's going on this morning. it's friday and the news at 4:30 starts right now. this was the scene a lot of you saw outside your windows yesterday the district just
