parts of the southern plains. tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings are posted in parts of oklahoma, arkansas, and texas. golf ball-sized hail smashed car windows in texas last night north of ft. worth, and the hail crashed through a sky light in one home. >> you could hear it coming from the distance, just like a stampede, and all of a sudden it hit our skylight and finally went through. it sounded like glass breaking obviously. >> baseball-sized hail piled up on lawns and there are reports of a tornado in texas and oklahoma. the stormy weather made its way into ohio yesterday. a fubl cloud was spotted outside of columbus. well, hundreds of protesters are under arrest in russia following a wave of anti-government demonstrations. dozens of protests were held across the country including moscow denouncing

corruption. president vladimir putin's most prominent critic appeared in court yesterday. he was in court yesterday. the pentagon said it's investigating allegations that a u.s. air strike last week may have killed at least 100 people in mosul, iraq. the battle to retake mosul from isis has been ongoing since february and as jonathan vigliotti reports, the details are difficult to confirm. >> the high rate of civilian deaths briefly put on hold to retake mosul. fighting has resumed but iraqis are saying they're weighing new plans and tactics. the decision came after at least 100 people were killed by a huge explosion in a district with some it. d. witnesses blaming a coalition air strike. most of the victims in the march incident were families seeking shelter from isis and t

carter evans visited a california company that dispatches orders with robots. >> when it comes to tech, it takes a lot to turn heads in silicon valley, and this new delivery robot is getting a lot of looks. >> we encounter hundreds o people every day here in redwood city, and i'll tell you the reactions are probably the best part of our day. >> reporter: justin hoffman is head of operations for the rowboat company starship. they have hundreds of robots around the world. now half a dozen have hits the sidewalks of california to start to make food deliveries for door dash. >> i highly recommend. >> reporter: we ordered from a restaurant about a half mile away. >> all right. we're putting you to the test now. >> reporter: and then followed the robot. >> so it's referencing a map of this area? >> yes. so every time we launch a new city, the robot captures all of this information at

help another struggling marathon runner. let's talk first alert weather now at 4:26. >> we do have fog and even some scattered showers out there. this is not going to last all day. not really the best start to your day. your commute, you need an extra couple of minutes with this fog around the region. visibility is quite low in gaithersburg. we just had a report of 0. also we have dulles and leesburg all reporting visibilities of less than a half a mile. later we will have she he storm tracker monitoring the roads for you. mainly dry, mainly some light showers to the west. these showers along 81 from hagerstown down through winchester, these are going to start to break apart a little bit. we'll go through the futurecast and see how these showers are going to impact the rest of your morning. you need a little patience weather wise. the fog probably going to

volcano went dormant about 50 million years ago. that's around the same time the earth experienced that extinction event that wiped out the dinosaurs. these findings come after analysis from mars orbiter. beauty and the beast remained king at the box office after debuting with the strongest march opening of any film. the remaining hit theaters more than 25 years after the release of the original disney classic. the film earned $88 million over the weekend. power rangers debuted in second with 40 million. kong skull island came in third with 14 million in ticket sales. they just were not going to let her quit. look at this in the marathon in philadelphia. she was struggling to finish. two guys decided we're going to help her move along the end of the race. a third man picked her up and carried her to the finish line. amazing
