underage drinking party. roy oliver was fired tuesday, days after shooting 15-year-old jordan edwards as he and others were leaving a house party. >> i do have questions related to my observation on the video. >> reporter: the police chief announced it yesterday. it contra distributed the department's original account. after hearing gunshots outside the suburban home, authorities now say the officers confronted the vehicle edwards was in as the car was driving away. the officer then opened fire into the passenger side window, shooting the high school freshman in the head and killing him. in a statement officials say oliver who was the second officer at the scene violated several departmental policies but did not give further deta

a scottish surfer who was swept out to sea says his rescuers are heroes. he was found 13 miles from the coast monday after spending more than 32 hour in the frigid waters. the coast guard said the thick wet suit the man was wearing saved his life. on the "cbs moneywatch" car sales slow down and american airlines is reducing leg room in economy. jill wagner is at the new york stock exchange with that and more. good morning, jill. >> good morning, anne-marie. most analysts do not expect another interest rate hike, but they will be looking for guidance about when the fed could raise rates next. meanwhile the price of oil dropped to its lowest level in six months but has started to rebound. here on wall street stocks closed 33 points higher.

trading. its earning report showed a drop in iphone sales in the second quarter. ceo tim cob said he thinks the customers are awaiting the release of the next iphone. this week will mark the tenth anniversary of the apple signature problem. "wall street journal's" clayton was confirmed yesterday. the s.e.c. oversees wall street. u.s. auto sales fell 4.7% last month. the six large automakers say sales fell. many expect sales will topic $17 million, though, for the third straight year. that is an industry first. and the squeeze is on at the american airlines. they're shrinking the seat pitch.
