grabbing headlines, senate republican leaders are trying to push through a health care bill. senator mitch mcconnell said he'll try to push through a bill next week. he had to capsle last month when too many fellow republicans rejected that measure. some stel still remain leery. >> he delayed it for two weeks to give lawmakers more time to deal with health care and other issues. and one of those other ushs the lawmakers are dealing with is con girling the new fbi director. the nomination for

wray begins today. at least two homes have been destroyed by a fire outside san jose and a fire inization county forced out at least 15 families. meanwhile a fire north of sacramento has zroeed 41 homes. the search for four missing men in pennsylvania is focusing on farm about 30 miles north of philadelphia. law enforcement officers used a backhoe to dig a deep trench for ka dasher dogs. none have been found. a man held on an unrelated gun charge were released on bail. cosmo dioner doe is a person of court interest. dinardo was in an accident last year and suffered a brain injury. investigators are sifting through the wreckage of a

air tanker to determine why it crashed into a mississippi soybean field. 15 marines and a sailor were killed in the crash. it was carried members of an elite special operations unit to arizona for training. >> every resource that we have that we can pull from will be used to determine what happened and every resource we can give to families as well will be amade available to them. >> the air crew was based in new york. witnesses say plane spiraled out of the sky into the ground. it was the deadliest erma reen disaster since 2005. thousands gathered for the officer who was killed sitting in her police vehicle. she was gunned down on the morning of july 5th.

warming wind for us. temperatures will start to increase pretty nicely. 93 for leesburg, 95 for washington. how does that compare when you factor in the humidity, we'll get you those numbers coming up. >> pretty quiet so far. we do have some construction if you're heading on eastbound 66 right before you hit the beltway, it looks like by nutley street, the left lane is closed here. i have a traffic lane camera in this area. you can tell from the maps, looks like traffic's moving okay. just not a lot of people out there. even with that left lane closed it's not going to impact you too much. careful if you have a flight out from dulles airport this morning. there are some construction notices in the area. this has been going on for a while. larry and jan we'll get to drive times on 95 coming up. thank you. grass fires race across the hills of silicon valley in california early this morning spreading to at least two homes. ua

closest to the fire to leave the area right away. fire crews have the fire under control for now. they'll be keeping an eye on hot spots throughout the day. recreational marijuana has been legal in the state of nevada for less than two weeks and already dozens of dispensaries in the state are concerned they won't have any marijuana left. the plant sales outpaced the expectations of store owners. passengers departing the seattle tacoma international airport will soon be getting help from a robot. the robot will hopefully speed up the process at the check point. that's a quick look at what's happening right now. the news at 4:30 starts right now. this is wake up washington on wusa9. >> happy

you have all evening for the temperatures to cool off. if you go at 8, 9:00 at night, it's a little better but it's still pretty muggy just from the heating of the day. this afternoon, this is 4:00 tomorrow. tomorrow's going to be our yellow weather alert due to dangerous heat. we have thunderstorms in the forecast on thursday. they don't arrive until really after the sunsets. today we're going to feel between 100 and 105. tomorrow over 105 for more than two hours. that's pretty dangerous. we'll get to that big relief over the weekend and you can make some outdoor plans this weekend. allyson mentioned a slowdown on 95 in virginia. i know that doesn't sound too unusual, it kind of is for this time of the morning: i normally don't have this kind of slowdown through the triangle area. it used to be red, yellow, maybe things are getting better. it is impacting you if you're starting in fredericksburg heading up to the beltway. it's about a 41 minute drive or if you're starting in dale city, so beyond those delays just about 14 minutes to make it from dale city up to th
