this is "entertainment tonight." >> it has been a very, very tough day. we're dealing with two major news story. the tragic shooting in las vegas. and the shocking news about legendary rock star tom pet pi. so we begin with jason aldean, asking everyone to pray for las vegas sflp he was on stage when the shots rang out. a concert with some of country's top artist who is are now recalling the horror of more than 500 injured and at least 58 dead. nischelle turner is in vegas and joining us. nischelle? >> reporter: well, nancy, right here behind me is the mandalay bay hotel and casino. at 10:08 p.m. last night, gunfire broke out from the 32nd floor, targeting 22,000 people in attendance at the route 91 harvest country music festival. today, a nation mourns what has become the deadliest mass shooting in modern american history.
