[ screaming ] this is "entertainment tonight." >> two oscar winners take the stage to break their silence. jennifer lawrence and reese witherspoon reveal they, too, are victims of abuse and sexual harassment. happened to them when they were just teens. the encounters stay with them to this day. >> i had my own experiences that have come back to me very vividly. i have had a hard time sleeping, hard to think. hard to communicate. >> reporter: she said the

weinstein scandal has forced her to relive an ugly truth. her own experience of harassment when she was just starting out in hollywood. the oscar-winner says the memory has stirred up a range of emotions. >> a lot of the feelings i've been having about anxiety, about being honest. the guilt for not speaking up earlier. or taking action. um -- true disgust at the director, who asaultd me when i was 16 years old. and, anger. that i felt. >> reporter: witherspoon did not name the director. but she added, quote, i've had multiple experiences of harassment and sexual assault. and i don't speak about them very often. she wasn't the only actress talking about abuse in hollywood. oscar-winner jennifer lawrence, also at the "elle" women in hollywood awards, told the audience she felt humiliated when she was younger and producers on a film told her to lose 15 pounds in two weeks. >> one girl before he had already been fired for not losing enough weight fast enough. and -- during this time, a female producer had me do a nude
