democrat. and sexual misconduct claims this time against cbs charlie rose. >> good morning in ing at cbs hecht quarters good to be with you. we begin with a crash of a navy plane. it crashed into the pacific ocean today. ben tracy joins us on the phone today. good morning. >> good morning. anne-marie, a lot of details are coming in about this but the transport plane crashed in the ocean of southeast okinawa. we're told by the defense ministry that the plane was taking off

we're told that this is a c 2 transport plane. that's according to japan's defense ministry and it was being launched off an aircraft carrier, and if you've ever been on one of those, it's a pretty phenomenal thing to see. these c 2s are fairly old. they're not military jets. they're transport planes. japan's defense ministry say eight people have been rescued and that the uss reagan is involved in the search and rescue. we do not know if they've all been rescued. the military is not notifying any names because they still have to notify family and friends. back at home president trump says he'll announce next week if he'll campaign if alabama senate candidate roy moore. he defended

allegations of sexual misconduct, and he made it clear moore was the better choice. hena doba is here with the details. good morning. >> good morning, anne-marie. president trump defended moore at the white house before left for thanksgiving break, this as moore continues to fight the claims. >> reporter: speaking from the white house lawn tuesday, president trump defended roy moore. >> we don't need a liberal person in there. >> reporter: the president's remarks came the same day moore appeared on the alabama cable network, pushing back against those. >> i never dated underage women. >> the president who was also accused of sexual misconduct

"buzzfeed" reports conyers paid a woman $27,000 under a confidentiality agreement. he had previously denied he had settled sexual harassment complaints. and the ride hailing service opened up to a conspiracy. the coverup of a year-old data breach. uber said it paid the hackers $100,000 to destroy the information. the accounts of $57 million of drivers were breached.

they reveal thenames e-mail addresses, and addresses. we're getting a first look of a desperate dash by a soldier. last week he raced for a border in the jeep. he made a run for it as other north korean soldiers shot them. one soldier crosses the line violating the armistice agreement before running back to the north. south korean soldiers called to the defector and dragged him to safety. he remains conscious and is breathing on his own. the fbi won't rule out the possibility

an anthem policy change and abuse in the women's gymnastics. "usa today" reports dr. larry nassar is expected to plead guilty to multiple charges of sexual assault. he's charged with sexual assault of several girls in michigan while treating them including former gymnast alley riceman and kayla maroney. gabby douglas said larry nassar abused her as well. she said she waited so long to report the abuse because she was conditioned to stay

worked together. been friends. >> and on late night gayle king talks about the firing of her co-host charlie rose over sexual misconduct allegations. now let's get more details on the forecast for the start of the holiday. miri. good morning -- i was about to say monday but it's definitely not monday. >> it's not monday. get something straight right now. today is not monday. it's wednesday people. good morning to you. listen, we do have some light showers out there but they're going to -- end very quickly for us. let's zoom in right now and show you what we're talking about. it's light rain making its way across washington. silver spring, laurel even getting in on this. quickly moving over to the east and in fact if you are in virginia, you are already done with the rain that you saw. the more you travel east that you'll see it. if you are pulling out early this morning you'll see those showers around fedex field, also along 95 and 495 and 50 all the areas getting light rain right now. this should be wrapping up within the next hour or two. and then as you travel a little bit further north around olney, also around cinder estates and aspen hill

along 97, still getting some light showers but for this particular area it's going to wrap up for you fairly soon. in the next few hours you'll see the should bees pushing out of the area by -- showers pushed out of the area by 7:00 a.m. we're done with the showers altogether. by 4:00 it looks really good but ellen tells me that this is probably not a good time to be on the road. right now is the best time to be on the road. and then as the day progresses it's going to get worse and worse. i have just looked at traffic land cameras. construction right now on route 1 and university boulevard. which we've been talking about all the week. this is 95 the worst area to head right now. southbound in virginia, when you hit route 17 and route 1, top area that's going to jam today. 95 also as you are trying to head to like -- miri said new york city, maybe baltimore heading northbound on 95 in maryland won't look good. also bw parkway right here at route 175 and further north of that two different areas. larry and jan, where you are g

the east. let's zoom in and show when you i'm talking about here -- what i'm talking about right here, in fact in the next hour or so the rain is going to be out of here. heading to the east, silver spring still getting some showers and even north around olney still getting some rain there. fedex field along 50 getting some rain. bowie, crofton all the showers lasting for the next hour or so. cinder estates that's further north, along 97 aspen hill, wheaton all the areas still gets light showers and maybe another half hour to an hour and this will be over for you. but let's track it for you and you can see that by 5:30 a.m., most of the rain is moved over to the eastern shore and over delaware and then getting to 7:00 a.m., it's actually dry out there. still partly cloudy. but the showers have pushed out of here. now let's show you what your forecast looks like for today. you'll notice that we'll see temperatures right around the 56-degree mark. the showers again ending for most areas by 7:00 a.m. and it will turn breezy ci
