president trump is back at the white house after huddling with republican leaders at camp david over the weekend. they were discussing the gop's legislative agenda for 2018 while much of washington was still talking about "fire and fury," a new book that's harshly critical of the trump administration. >> reporter: allies took to the airways to talk on the book's assertion that the white house has doubts. >> i can tell you he's got the wherewithal to do things no politician has been able to do and in a good way. steve bannon is quoted extensively in the book. he used the words "treasonous" and "unpatriotic." on sunday he took back some of what he said and he said his support is, quote, unwavering for the president and his agenda. some democrats dismissed the

fiction. >> i don't think there's any party in congress if at least privately who has not expressed those concerns. >> reporter: today the president will be at nashville to speak at a farmers convention. tonight he'll go to georgia to watch them play in the college football championship. and the president had planned to announce his fake news awards today. he said, quote, instead the losers will be unveiled on wednesday." the "atlanta journal-constitution" says the naacp plans to protest president trump's appearance at tonight's college football championship game. mr. trump is expected to attend the game between georgia and alabama at atlanta's mercedes-benz stadium. the naacp is urging attendees to hold up white towels. the towel is to mock the snowflake white. "the new york times" reports is rile is reacting with its own black list in response to the boycott of the country. they listed 20 organization yesterday. they'll bar the leaders for supporting an economic, cultural, and academic boycott against the jewish state. it includes the quakers, friends conservative committee and the feminist group cold pink. they're urging them to address what they say is a g

repairing several water main breaks from over the weekend. you may want to grab a handful of change, starting today people who do not have enough money for your smart trip cards and those exiting machines only accept cash. the good news is we will get up to above freezing but we have a wintery mix on the way and that brings opportunity for freezing rain which means you could get a glaze on roadways untreated or on your sidewalks. it is cloudy out there and we will see a high of 36 0 today. look for a wintery mix all mixing especially between 1 pm and 9 p.m. the hazards are ice on the roads, sidewalks and driveways. that will

all it takes is a little bit of ice to get that going. all areas north are favored to see this potential situation. the national weather service has issued a winter weather advisory because of hazardous travel conditions . i have a friend who slipped and twisted her ankle on ice coming out of her house so it is very dangerous. by 1 p.m. everyone at this point is getting freezing rain. freezing rain looks like rain as it falls and it freezes on the surfaces that are at or below freezing. that arctic air is stubborn moving out so be careful of that. >> if you're heading out this morning things look good but we do still

breaks. 295 heading southbound you will see an accident there. if you are between the beltway and route 123 there is a report of a water main break here. that water main break is still there and that will be impacting you this morning. dc fire investigators are trying to figure out what started a fire at this home. flames broke out yesterday at the hall on market and 12th street. no one was hurt. firefighters had to use road flares around the fire hydrants. someone from new hampshire has won the powerball worth $560 million.
