saying so long from newark. we're following breaking news out of norfolk. a 43-year-old woman is dead and her 22- year-old son is in jail after a morning shooting. officers say shawn hunter shot his mother, sonya hunter was shot multiple times on westcliff drive around 9 this morning. she was taken to sentara norfolk general hospital where she later died. police also found three small children near the scene - none of them had any injuries. now more breaking news police in blacksburg just announced a missing 13-year-old girl - is dead. and an 18-year-old virginia tech student is in jail. we showed you nicole lovell's picture after

"i have worked in their house. i did the addition problems. this a stunner." the caroline county sheriff says, "this investigation is ongoing...please keep the gray family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time." three people are dead after a small plane crash today in albany, georgia. authorities say the plane crashed shortly after taking off from the airport in this afternoon. no word what may have caused the plane to crash. the airport has

a 22-month-old boy is dead in jacksonville, florida after he was caught in the middle of what authorities call a gang-related drive-by shooting. investigators say the baby was with his mother and grandmother inside a parked car when a vehicle pulled up and someone started shooting on a nearby home... but several bullets went into the car. the baby was hit multiple times in the shoulder and stomach. he was rushed to a hospital... police say the baby died this morning.
