today marked the first day of a two week window that nfl teams could use their franchise tag to keep their best free agents. the big question for the redskins, will they use that tag on quarterback kirk cousins? i'm bruce rader, kirk cousins is set to become a free agent next month--and its believed his agent and redskins general manager scott mccluin are working on a long term deal. there was a report today that the talks have broken down--but expect to hear that type of thing as the negotiations continue. cousins "will" be back with the redskins next season, because the redskins don't have anybody else. if a deal can't be reached, the redskins will use their franchise tag and pay cousins around 20 million dollars, all of which will count against the salary cap. if cousins signs a long
