line if you know where he is. firefighters in chesapeake tell us someone dumped 500 gallons of paint down a drain in south hill. you may have seen crews cleaning it up today. firefighters tell us police investigated and figured out who was behind dumping the paint. we're working to learn who that is and if they face any charges. new developments in the ongoing death investigation of aj hadsell. 10 on your side learned a potential witness may testify against the teenager's adoptive father wesley hadsell. investigators found the 18-year-old's body behind a home in franklin last spring in the midst of an intense search. it's been more than one year since she disappeared and no one has been charged in her death. the court papers released thursday in federal court say there's a "strong possibility" the witness would testify if hadsell picked up any charges relating to aj's death. super = officer daniel hudson/norfolk police confident that who they are putting in front of the judge is the right

and his wife maureen on doing political favors for a wealthy executive- all in exchange for more than 165-thousand dollars in gifts and loans. mcdonnell's lawyers will argue on april 27th, the federal jury unfairly convicted him on a broad definition of bribery. a decision is expected toward the end of june. mcdonnell's wife's appeal is on hold until the supreme court rules. new developments in the public corruption case against the norfolk city treasurer. anthony burfoot's attorney is asking the judge to throw out many of his charges. andrew sacks, burfoot's attorney filed 8 motions. he claims his client was entrapped while on the witness stand and now his statements are being used against him. burfoot testified back in 2013 for the defense in the federal trial for the bank of the commonealth. sacks claim when burfoot took the stand under oath federal prosecutors cross examined him and asked him questions they knew he would lie about. questions like has he ever taken a bribe.

years post 2018" 3:09:16 repower's bid came in cheaper than the current trash disposer from portsmouth named wheelabrator. the new agreement also includes building a one of a kind plant in chesapeake. new tonight, a new study confirmed what we've all thought about the zika virus. scientists found some of the strongest evidence that links the virus to severe birth defects and even fetal death. doctors followed 88 pregnant women, where a majority testest postive for zika. almost a third of the women infected had severe pregnancy complications including miscarriage, central nervous system damage their baby. some babies ended up blind and others had abnormal brain development in the womb. new tonight, a country singer lost her battle with cervical cancer. her husband said joey feek died this afternoon surrounded by loved ones. the 40-year-old was part of the award- winning country duo joey and rory.

allowed enforcement even as the law was being challenged in the courts. it's a sign that a similar law in texas could also be in jepardy. health officials on the peninsula say a skunk tested positive for rabies. crews found the animal in james city county in the area of richmond road. health officials are concerned if anyone or any pet came into contact with the skunk. they say make sure your pet is vaccinated and keep their food inside. tonight all after school activities at gates county high school were cancelled. a school spokeswoman told us someone found a bomb threat written on a wall inside. the superindenent aired on the side of safety and released students around one in the afternoon. the sheriff's office is investigating and did not find anything inside. new tonight, help from the federal government is on its way for those affected by the tornadoes last week. the u-s department of agriculture rural development will be in waverly next thursday to talk about home repair and construction loans.

unbelievable runs: 12 back in 2001, flowers pleaded guilty to embezzlement, and was sentenced to a six years suspended. developing tonight, a case that captivated the nation is back in the news. police in los angeles say they are testing a knife supposedly discovered near o-j simpson's home. investigators are looking to find out if the knife is connected to the murders of simpson's former wife, nicole brown and her friend ron goldman. police say a former l-a-p-d traffic officer recently turned the knife over to detectives. officials say the officer said he was working off-duty on a movie nearby simpson's home 12-years ago, when a construction worker gave him the knife. investigators now are skeptical. sound andrew neiman - lapd media relations " we prove one way or another that it is not.

on all charges in 1995. since the, the murder case has remained "open." tonight we know many of the same drugs involved in bobbi kristina brown's death were in her mother whitney houston's system when she passed away. the medical examiner released brown's autopsy report today after investigators could not figure out if her death was intentional or accidental. brown's case is similar to that of her mother's. both autopsy reports found the women had used cocaine, marijuana, and the same prescription drug used to treat anxiety. both women were discovered face- down and unresponsive in bathtubs. brown died last year after she went into a coma. houston passed away in 2012. a-m-c theaters is now the biggest movie theater chain in the world the company announced yesterday it bought carmike cinemas. the deal is worth dollars. a-m-c added more than six-hundred theaters in

new tonight, a student faces charges after sharing nude photos of his teacher. police in south carolina say the high school student went through his teacher's cellphone. the 16-year old faces a computer crime and voyeruism. the teacher involved said she shot the nude selfie to share with her husband. after the student went through her phone she quit her job teaching in charleston. the superintendent said it was the teacher's fault for leaving students unattended during a four-minute break between classes. developing in flint, michigan - a republican senator says federal aid is not needed. senator mike lee from utah is holding up bipartisan legislation to address the lead-contaminated water crisis. he says michigan's republican governor has not asked for federal help and the state does not need it because of an enormous budget surplus. senators from both parties reached a deal for a 220-million dollar package to fix and replace the pipes, but the bill remains on hold. crews started today to replace those pipes that
