happening today, nearly 100 scientists will be in gloucester to talk about trash in our local waterways and oceans. it's part of the two-day virginia marine debris summit at the virginia institute of marine science. scientists will talk about ways to prevent pollution in places like the chesapeake bay, which you can see in this recent video from chopper 10. also happening today, the hampton branch of the n-double-a-c-p is inviting people to tonight's meeting to learn more about new businesses coming to the city. hampton's director of economic development will speak about plans to revamp the city's shopping centers, and fill empty stores. tonight's meeting starts at 7:00 at the bethel a-m-e church on lincoln street. it's free and open to the public. we want to take you live to the eastern shore as nasa scientists at wallops island flight facility are getting ready to launch another rocket. here's a

today, longtime n-fl quarterback, peyton manning is expected to officially announce his retirement. he will hold a news conference at 1:00 this afternoon to discuss the end of his 18-year career. manning told the denver broncos about his decision saturday night. he played three seasons with them and led them to a super bowl win just last month. manning played 14 seasons with the indianapolis colts, and led them to a super bowl win in 2007. he turns 40 later this month, and is one of the oldest active players in the nfl. to decision 20-16 news

of caucuses and primaries on what some call super saturday. we start on the republican side. donald trump and ted cruz tied with two wins a piece, but trump is winning the delegate game right now. here's the latest delegate count. trump adds kentucky and louisiana to his primary state wins. he's leading with 392 delegates. cruz picked up maine and kansas saturday putting him second with 305 delegates. marco rubio rounds out the top 3. he won in puerto rico saturday, and previously won in minnesota. he has 130 delegates. john kasich has yet to win a primary and has just 35 delegates. kasich may not have won any states saturday, but he did pick up an enthusiastic endorsement from the "terminator" sunday. former california governor arnold schwarzenegger endorsed kasich, saying he is like an action hero. :15-:30 "let me tell you something. when he then went to washington he kicked some serious butt. today the united state's olympic committee will discuss athlete's growing concerns about the zika virus. the committee formed an infectious disease advisory group last week. the olympics start in august, which is brazil's cool season. organizers expect the infected mosquito population to be smaller. many athletes voiced their concerns about contracting the virus that has led to birth defects. the u.s. marshal service is warning virginia residents about a national phone scam where individuals are claiming to be law enforcement officials collecting fines for failing to report for jury duty. marshals say they do not arrange payment of any fines over the phone. the scammers are trying to appear more credible by providing badge numbers and the names of actual federal judges and courthouse addresses. marshals say, do not divulge your personal or financial information to anyone you don't know. new this morning, rescue teams in utah rescued a dog stuck out on the ice

take a look; the teams caught the rescue on camera. you can see the dog hovering just above the responders rode by and quickly grabbed the safety. according to our affiliate station in the area, officials say the dog wandered out onto the ice last monday, but had not fallen in at ran off. they went back out with an air boat on friday and finally rescued it. the sheriff's office says recovering. good morning, hampton roads. let's check

good morning . time now is 7-27. we're following breaking overnight news of a police chase in two cities. police are still looking for the suspect on a motorcycle, this morning. portsmouth police say officers in chesapeaked asked them to help catch the suspect on george washington highway around 12:30. our wavy crew saw a biker drive right by our station in portsmouth with about seven police cars in pursuit. officers lost the suspect a short time later.

with the latest details on the chase. rico - katie, we've making calls to police working to get calls, but here's what we were able to gather from our sources. according to portsmouth police, officers in chesapeake contacted them just before 12-30 to help them catch the suspect on george washington highway. moments later, our weekend producer watched as about seven police cars quickly followed a motorcycle in front of our station near court street. police tell me the chase lasted for about seven minutes in portsmouth before officers called off the high-speed pursuit. our sources say chesapeake officers lost the driver somewhere in the city. chesapeake dispatch could not tell us where the

developing this morning police across several cities are investigating at least eight separate shootings from this past weekend. one man died saturday in ocean view. three other victims are in the hopsital with life-threatening injuries. one is a teenager from newport news, and the other two are men from virginia beach and hampton. let's begin with the deadly shooting in

it happened saturday afternoon on kingston avenue. police say they found robert kinght, the third, in the driver's seat of a white minivan. someone shot knight several times. paramedics rushed him to the hospital where he died. neighbors told us they don't feel safe in their neighborhood. vanessa carter-west / neighbor c0032 1:31:07 this is literally where i walk i go all the way down this road and back up to my apartment like i said i wont be doing that again." 1:31:15 " investigators believe the suspect or suspects are dangerous. witnesses last saw a blue or grey small car with heavy front end damage. call police if you see the vehicle. two other shootings happened in norfolk last night. a 16-year-old is recovering in the hospital. it happened on pollard street in the lindenwood neighborhood. officers found him laying in the street. police tell us they found another shooting victim on lead street just a few hours later. that person is expected to be okay. investigators say the shootings are not related. police in portsmouth say

the white house, checking visitor's lists for any clues. the new york times reports the president is vetting jane kelly. she's a federal appeals court judge from iowa. if she is nominated that would put republican senator chuck grassley in a bind. he's in charge of confirmation hearings and supported kelly in the past. republicans in the senate said they would not vote on a nominee this year. chase. at this hour, officers have not returned our calls, but here's what we were able to gather from our sources. according to portsmouth police, officers in chesapeake contacted them just before 12-30 to help them catch the suspect on george washington highway. moments later, our weekend producer watched as about seven police cars quickly followed a motorcycle in front of our station near court street. police tell me the chase lasted for about seven minutes in portsmouth before officers called off the high-speed pursuit. our sources say chesapeake officers lost the driver somewhere in the city. chesapeake dispatch could not tell us where the chase started nor where it ended. this morning, i'll be checking in with police to find out why officers started

cities are investigating at least eight separate shootings from this past weekend. one man died saturday in ocean view. three other victims are in the hopsital with life-threatening injuries. one is a teenager from newport news, and the other two are men from virginia beach and hampton. let's begin with the deadly shooting in it happened saturday afternoon on kingston avenue. police say they found robert kinght, the third, in the driver's seat of a white minivan. someone shot him several times. paramedics rushed him to the hospital where he died. investigators believe the suspect or suspects are very dangerous. witnesses say they saw a blue or grey small car with heavy front end damage in the area. call police if
