no news could be good news the thinking is that since the court didn't reject the appeal. maybe they will accept the u s supreme court posted a lengthy list of cases it has agreed or declined to hear or former virginia governor bob mcdonnell's appeal was not listed. scott has blogged tweeted out today that the interaction increases mcdonnell chances for review of his corruption convictions some legal scholars agreed in the roberts court in recent years when they've decided to hear a case they've often re listed it and waited a week or two until finally granting cert and saying that they will hear the case says curtis bok has noticed that trend and if i was a betting man i would say that they're probably going to hear the case but at regent university law school where mcdonald graduated in nineteen eighty nine there is less certainty. it might mean

to write a defense to that and how it can also mean that there's a few justices who want to grant the petition as others who don't and they're still trying to work out those differences that takes four justices to grant a petition so that's the big number that and the governor needs regent law professor tested by starts as the supreme court taking up any case is a rare thing and he says that they are taking its not as much about the particular facts of that that particular case sometimes it is but often it's about the bigger broader rule of constitutional law they're going to take seventy five cases it needs to be the case is going hat in casper for future cases future developments in the loss that often attacked the cases they're looking for mcdonald's lawyers have argued that if these convictions are allowed to stand it could mean that every office holder and owner of the country could be indicted that we did reach out to make dolls defense team and mcdowell family both declined comment. the next regularly scheduled posting

a warning tonight for parents to teach are now facing a sex crimes charge could have had access to your kids while under investigation by the state. we were first to tell you why and there it was indicted by a north carolina grand jury last week. turns out even after the school system found out about the allegations listed garrett as a tutor investigative reporter laura geller joins us in law reflect the talking here dare county schools puts out a tutor directory it is a list of teachers available to tutor her children outside of the normal school day up until we called the superintendent. we were able to find the man accused of having sex with a student listed in an on line version of that directory. these documents from the north

education lists the disturbing details on then teacher ryan garrett discovered by dare county schools details reportedly admitting by garrett in an interview with the state ethics committee right here it says in june there were rumors the manual high school special education teacher and a female student had been seen drinking at a local bar together and had hooked up the record shows garrett acknowledged he had been drinking alot on the night in question and admitted to seeing the student he told school leaders. the girl used a fake id to buy him a drink and he kissed her at the bar as for what happened next we don't know. according to documents mr garrett said the student called for cab and the two left in it but for what happened next. it says right here when questioned about that part mr garrett refused to answer but the indictment garrett is

information. he is charged with having sex with a student based on everything officials learned the state permanently revoke to garrett's teaching license in november almost six months after the school first got wind of the accusations there were definitely some lines crossed the new shocked parents like savannah brill whose daughter will go through many o school's out beautifully something that i would be afraid of this all began during last school year the one that ended in june of twenty fifteen. but take a look at this here is the tutor directory for the current school year even though he resigned from the school at the end of the twenty fourteen twenty fifteen school year while officials investigated the possible sex crime. ryan gehrig's name was listed as someone you could call to help your child for this school year and he is one of the cheaper options. in fact

garrett's indictment he was still listed on the manual high school website and the tutor directory if people didn't know about it and somebody is aaron decided to make him eat some extra you know help tutoring and they pick this person they could be detrimental for a trial for another girl. soo we wanted to know exactly why something like this fell through the cracks and your county schools. turns out the superintendent did not know the information was there and chill thirty news now brought it to her attention. dr sue burgess says right after she heard from us she had the directory taken down. she explains our investigation is a lesson learned issuing this statement this is an extremely rare situation the tutor directory was not maintained by the human resources department. we have now put in place a process to ensure that the human

review all names on the two directory on a monthly basis we also asked burgess says he has any idea whether or not a parent might have contacted garrett for tutoring services during the month his number was listed she says she will now talk to them n e o principal about what he's heard from there it's a criminal case the district attorney tells us care is currently out of the country and leader come back to the states on his own or the office will begin the extradition process laura geller thirteen years now. i would say most punts averaged around twenty five degrees colder this afternoon we had yesterday afternoon but we go right back up tomorrow. not to those kinds of levels but we go up and we come right back now and some real swings to talk about me and a little bit of moisture eventually mean a pretty big system but that's not for a while. meanwhile as you can
6:15 pm
terms of the radar presentation right now we're not down as much as we were just a couple hours ago there is a showing of twenty five degree difference is i mention during the afternoon from twenty four hours previous. now are running only around seventeen eighteen twenty there's a couple spots higher twenty two or three. so obviously not as cold right now as it was earlier compared to yesterday. meanwhile for today the forecast was for forty five degrees and the actual know that should be reversed. forty four was the forecast for today the actual was forty five either way doesn't matter that i trans pose those as we were spot on and that's the time a row after a string of twenty one and did about a week ago for the spawn forecast tomorrow i'm saying fifty three for a high temperature will see how that goes that certainly should be somewhere close to that as you can see during the evening we really dropped back into the one he's already before midnight for inland areas and then by
6:16 pm
the twenties few areas closer to the water probably lower thirties but on to say around thirty sort of in this suburban metro areas tomorrow afternoon temperatures back up. looks like mid fifties or lower fifties anyway lower to mid fifties penny i find fifty three and then tomorrow evening chance of a couple of isolated showers or sprinkles should be a dry air mass coming through at the lower levels and that means anything's going to tend to evaporate. later at night slight chance of a flurry i think the odds are pretty low of that happening and look at the high temperatures during the day on wednesday they barely climb up through the thirties sorkin be talking about readings that are well below normal then but then they go right back up a huge amount the next day here's the next week system coming in again with some of those colder readings tonight then near thirty mainly clear and cold mid twenties and london and the rest of the forecast looks like this fifty three tomorrow so that smile are only thirty seven
6:17 pm
wednesday and then back up to fifty two for couple days maybe even warmer saturday the rain chances will be late friday friday night into saturday with him currently all right jeff thanks so much that cyril said the redskins are gonna win was wrong with the redskins all year on the twenty five game set at one nine is that they would lose basically we can just find this as a jump on the redskins' bandwagon all the wheels fell off once they were great until a war against the packers yesterday first round class a first class since two thousand and twelve as fedex field and they were great early kirk cousins to join raid and this was the no eleven nothing redskins lead everything going right defensively offensively with good ground game the passing attack green bay coming back before the half to rogers to divine to add a couple of passing touchdown seventeen eleven packers in that time redskins strong i got him credit for coming back strong start in
6:18 pm
a touchdown but than to that great balance for the packers no rushing pass rushing for the redskins great pass rushing for the packers in the end the packers won thirty five eighteen redskins still haven't beaten a winning team but just making it to the playoffs was a big step very proud of these guys man and still sick feeling you know anytime you lose a game at the end of the year when it is of the opportunities that we had out there today. you know it makes you makes you feel that these guys about all the way the mom very very proud of the guys and i really like the future this football team i walked away sort of feeling right now this loss and i think catapult our offseason to enable us to live an agency okay where do we fall short ok we made the playoffs we want to advance in the playoffs me weren't good enough to do that so what we have to change areas to grow in and in the next several months are the adult class just getting started college
