congressman forbes represents the fourth district which a federal court just made a lot harder for republicans to win because of the new voting lines united states constitution does not require you live in the congressional district that you represent it is usually bad form but the question i would have before i dismiss it out of hand is how much of the new district is currently represented by congressman forbes pilar says the new map could change the way the gop nominates a candidate in the second district republicans are waiting to see if the supreme court will put a stay on the federal court's ruling as they wait on an appeal that happen quicker or i'm not really sure we don't really add up against the wall is a deadline now if it goes into the next week or two we're in uncharted territory and whether or not the high court agrees to put a stay on the new congressional map would impact two is on the district's committee and they're the ones who decide whether a candidate is nominated in a convention or primary the general elections this november. erik ainge thirteen years now

and even some orange on the radar let's go and check in with jeff on when this is all going to move out well the first round is actually moving out already in some areas with them we're going to have another batch moving in this is probably the one with the heaviest rain though associated with that again look at all those bright colors sort of in a semi circle on this little park around the region came passing through over the past couple of hours and hours you can see still let's focus in on it some pretty heavy rain up here across parts of the northern neck lighter rain on the middle peninsula and seeing a few breaks on the peninsula itself. heavy rain right now down into areas of northampton county it'll get heavier here cross series of aca max relatively shortly and over the downtown area were already starting to see a cessation of the rain completely hardly been any light rain moving back to the west all to the east along the oceanfront it's a little bit heavier and then down across areas there to north carolina still some very heavy rain in cia if you look closely the raindrops hitting in the puddles there
5:48 pm
good clip across the areas right near the boardwalk but that set the lesson shortly as well so for this evening showers windy and mild with the periods of rain have a giving way to now just the scattered showers temperatures continue to fall the wind direction once it turns to the east you get more of these green colors if it's from the south more the read to and eventually if we have any blue that would be a northerly wind says you can see seen generally as se or an easterly winds early shifting to southerly later tonight and look at spinrite in there that's the area of low pressure by ten pm right up over sort of west the newport news and then as that low moves out then will start to see more of a westerly wind behind this system and that's going to drop those readings again future cass calling for temperatures in the morning to be in the forties and then rise up during the afternoon with a decent amount of sunshine into the fifties early in the day will have some clouds and a chance of a stray shower to still laugh but for the most part
5:49 pm
nice day and then sundays a little more iffy let's talk about that here. one of the things that we're going to have to look at the temperatures temperatures will be well above freezing i can promise you that all day during the day on sunday but it'll be so cold just a thousand or two thousand feet aloft that if we get any moisture there's a good chance we get a least a little. we're going to see it falling as snow so will it have time to evaporate before it hits the ground or time to melt before it hits the ground that's what we have to pay attention to the next couple of days here's the center the storm swing up to riley headed right over our region later tonight so forty seven for the overnight low occasional showers could be heavy at times and again tomorrow increasing amounts of sunshine quite breezy and mild and then the seven day forecast forty one on sunday only a little bit of snow or a light little mix maybe in other words a couple light

the rain moved in this afternoon i ingest you've been tracking this system so how's it looking now looking really nasty in some areas but not bad at all in others a very very sharp elimination here between the heavy rain that came moving through and is now just right near the coast and the area's back inland where it is not raining as much although we're going to see it filling back in obviously right now this line sort of extends from north and east of richmond back across the northern act light rain now middle peninsula back across parts of the eastern shore and then write down across areas here of the virginia beach but for the peninsula are seeing very light precipitation near the beach it's already starting to taper off a little bit heavy stuff is moving out. still quite heavy though around knotts island back down to parts of northeast north carolina that's going to take another hour or more to swing through you and still little bit of rain obviously for the next hour to cross kill devil
